Hallo zusammen,spannendes Thema, zu dem ich noch keinen Content gefunden habe: VBR liefert mit der Wizard-Installation aktuell PostgreSQL 15.X mit und installiert diese. Spannend finde ich, dass Veeam 12.1 zwar mit Windows Server 2022 kompatibel ist, PostgreSQL jedoch nur ab Version 16:PostgreSQL: Windows installersHier das Veeam Dokument:Release Notes (veeam.com) Gibt es hier schon Infos, wie und wann Veeam mit Postgres 16 freigegeben wird bzw. wie aktuell mit Installation rund um Windows Server 2022 umgegangen werden soll? Ich halte die Kompatibilität der Postgres mit dem OS durchaus für wichtig. Hat da jemand Infos zu?Danke & viele Grüße!Lukas

Bonjour,Je viens d’installer et de découvrir Veeam Backup pour Office365, j’ai paramétré un JOB pour sauvegarder uniquement  l’organisation SHAREPOINT sur un disque dur Externe mais très souvent et voir tout le temps maintenant j’ai l’erreur “JetError -1022, JET_errDiskIO, Disk IO error” cette erreur est parlante mais j’ai déjà remplacé le disque a plusieurs reprise et il fonctionne très bien sur cette même machine avec un VEEAM AGENT. Avez vous une piste a me donner ? 

Hola a todos ¿Como están? Tengo algunas consultas, he implementado varios repositorios inmutables, en el camino me he encontrado con el dilema de que distribución es mejor para ello y me he centrado en dos: Ubuntu Server y Red Hat.Algunos colegas me indican que mejor es Red Hat sin embargo veo muchos temas que hablan del uso de Ubuntu Server… ¿Qué creen ustedes, cual sea mejor? Adicionalmente, validando las buenas practicas, que entre ellas esta quitar el usuario del grupo sudo, que la maquina no sea virtual sino física, deshabilitar el ssh y no usar ntp públicos, etc. ¿Qué recomendación adicional pueden sugerir?

I need to migrate 12 Windows Server 2016 from Hyper-V to vcenter, can I do this with Veeam just restore from the last Hyper-v backup to vcenter?

We are in the middle of migrating from Rubrik to Veeam. We have some Rubrik backup jobs that are called by our scheduling software, Tidal. The process is as follows:Tidal calls the pre processing backup job for our loan accounting system Tidal is informed of the successful backup, then it moves on to other jobs. These other jobs include all nightly cycle type items for any financial institutions like, sync’ing up general ledger with loan accounting, then with financial reporting systems, etc..  Basically this aligns all core financial systems for a “start of day” state and is a critical restore point for us. Finally, Tidal calls the post processing backups to create that restore point.  Tidal is made aware of that successful backup and our nightly cycle processes are marked as completed successfully.We’ve been working with our Veeam account rep but we haven’t yet found a way to replicate this process with Veeam. Title says it all Got a customer who advises they are running Windows dedupe on the local OS, and I can see the backup copy job is getting really poor compression on the VM. ciao a tutti, nel mio LAB ho aggiunto nell’inventario in Unstructured Data un File Server che poi è un semplice windows 2022.Il rescan dei volumi fallisce e da un warning (anche se poi i backup funzionano) in cui suggerisce di andare a vedere un log che si chiama appuntoConsole_nomedelvbrserver_utenteche però non trovo proprio.Ho trovato qualcosa che lo ricorda in C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup\Satellites\tintowin2022\TINTOWIN2022_Administratorove sta un file Satellite_Console.lognel quale però non trovo nulla. Se rifaccio lo scan non si aggiunge nulla.Qualcuno ha idea di dove possa essere e/o come mai mi succede che fallisce?Grazieeeeeeeeeeee

I’ve installed Veeam with a 30 day evaluation license. Hi All, Anyone faced this issue or any fixes to resolve this. vCenter shows disk consolidation requested by Veeam but also displays percentage of completion. What's a good plan to be able to restart the Windows DB VM? See screenshots below.From what I know, it is not a good idea to reboot while consolidation is going on. However, this has been going on for at least 2 days and the DB residing on the server is performing poorly. I have requested the DB folks to try to restart the DB instead of the server but in the event that this would be the only option that is left to do, what is a good way to go about doing a VM reboot. I have disabled the job in Veeam and has cancelled another Veeam request to vCenter to run another consolidation (thoe one showing 0%). 

Buongiorno, ho cercato nel gruppo ma non ho trovato al risposta.Vado ad esporre il mio problema.Ho alcuni Job di Backup di VM di vSphere a cui ho impostato una certa “Retention Policy” in giorni, prendendone uno, per esempio “25 days”  con impostato un “Remove deleted items data after” in 7 days  … però se vado nel repository vedo che i file che hanno più di 32 gg non vengono cancellati!  Ora il quesito è:- c’è un comando/procedura per forza la cancellazione dei file che eccedono la policy??? Grazie.

good day, I’m working with some people in implementing K10 on OSCP clusters.They have and use DataDomain as backup storage: with Veeam we naturally use DDboost, and we are trying to use it for K10 exports too.We created the PVC and configured as Location in K10, the validation succeeded, but it does not work, it seems the pod cannot mount the nfs export and the export operation timeouts.We have found this errorI tried opening the export to all the internal IPs, but it did not solve the issue.It seems a network issue anyway … has anyone experience on this task? We backup an O365 organization with Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 7.1.0.1501. Everything went well, but tonight the backup of all mailboxes failed with error message: "Processing mailbox failed with error: Failed to get folder properties. Not allowed to access Non IPM folder." Also the backup of all teams failed with error message: "Failed to process team. Failed to get folder properties. Not allowed to access Non IPM folder." The backup of OneDrive and SharePoint worked properly. Any idea?

Hello Again 😖We’re on Veeam 11.0.1.1261 P20220302. Only using the Backup and Replication portion. No VeeamOne etc.. Am curious if there’s a way to get a summary of what type of compression/deduplication ratios we’re seeing besides what’s on the email generated on job completion.I assume each job is going to be different. You’ll probably get better ratios on full backups than incremental.Do I need VeeamONE here to do this? 

I need some help.  I am trying to automate my Employee Offboarding using ansible by creating a backup job that will do a final backup of the user’s mailbox, archive, teams, teams chat and personal site.  Then restore it to an offsite File Share for long term storage.  I’m using the REST API and I can query my Veeam server for Org ID, Repository ID, etc.  However, I can not create a job.  I think it is because I can list the user ID in the task.  Is the User ID based off of the Azure ID?  Would I need a separate task that queries my O365 Instance and retrieves that?

Hi, I am trying to backup the Windows PC’s on my LAN using Agent backup and am having the same issue as the person on this post: https://forums.veeam.com/servers-workstations-f49/creating-new-backup-in-protection-group-issue-t79935.html I have read the issue several times and I don’t think I understand the terminology being used. And I have successfully installed Agent on my Windows machine and executed the command to connect to B&R.  I also see the machine on B&R. Ideally, I would like to schedule backup jobs for this machine and also be able to run adhoc backups using the B&R console.Is this possible? Thank you, Hammer

Backup Job Chains… If I keep seven (7) restore points and run an Active Full on Saturday (point #7) what happens to the six (6) files in the prior backup chain? Are they useless but don’t get deleted because we’re keeping seven (7) restore points?  Backup Copy Jobs are different if not mistaken. If you keep seven (7) restore points and the seventh is a periodic full, the six prior restore points are deleted all at once?

I didn´t find this information in the documentation.The service´s docs state that backup data created by Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 or Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft Azure can be targeted to and reside in any Azure region as end users request. Metadata is encrypted and stored in one of the following Azure regions: United States West. Hello everyone,VSPC allows us to be alerted when a computer has not been backed up for a specific number of days.However, when a device has multiple jobs configured, what if one of those jobs has not been running for some time but other jobs completed? An example scenario is this:Job 1: when a backup target is connectedJob 2: daily at midnight What if job 1 never gets executed as the target is never connected but job 2 does?Is there a way I could be alerted? Thank you in advance.Daniele Capuano
