different backup size on backup job and vbk file

Hello,

We are using self-service portal for our backups and we've discovered different size for each backup job. For example backup job on portal is showing 747,1GB of given backup but vbk file showing 855GB. what is the reason of this differences?

yes, that's correct

So you will never have matching sizes if that is the case.

Which self service portal are you referring to Enterprise Manager?  Also keep in mind the file system on disk as well if it is ReFS or XFS it is not shown correctly for sizing.  Also the size on the disk versus the size Veeam is reporting can differ.

@Ladislav Boka I believe you are referring to the below portal

 

and I agree with @Chris.Childerhose  Are you checking the VBK size on the Windows Explorer and comparing it with the portal?
