In Veeam, we have made some amendments to the original rule: 2 Different Media – The original purpose of this rule was to combat the fact that if two drives are purchased at the same time, they were very likely to fail at the same time. In Veeam it would be more accurate to say "Media Platforms". Consider block, object, tape, appliance-types file systems based storage as different platforms for the purposes of this rule.
