Veeam Data Platform v13 Upgrade Center
I backup my home network. I am using VEEAM 11. What is the newest version to support Windows 10 or 11. I doubt my two ISPs will allow Windows Server platform at my home. Last time, I tried a Server OS to study at home with, my ISP shut down my internet until I turned off the server. I want to install the VEEAM Backup CE Server on Windows 10 or 11.
BackgroundWe have Veeam Backup & Replication (12.3.2.3617) server installed at our Head Office, where physical and virtual machines on the 192.168.ABC.0/24 network are backed up to Veeam Backup Repositories.Some physical devices are sometimes on Branch Office 192.168.XYZ.0/24 networks (where the XYZ is provided by local Branch Office DHCP servers). These devices can roam between the Head office and a number of (i.e. several) Branch Offices.The ABC is never equal to XYZ, and no two Branch Office XYZs are the same.Situation SummaryI want to be able to backup these roaming physical devices to either the Head Office Backup Repositories when the device is there, or to a local NAS in the Branch Office when it is there. I keep getting the error when with the Windows Backup Agent:“Veeam Endpoint Backup is already running for user *MyUsernameImCurrentlyLoggetInWith* “When I try to edit the job currently running. But no other users are logged in or accessing the app. I have tried deleting the job. Now I can’t make a new one. Rebooting, of course. Shutting down the App and the Service. Uninstalling and reinstalling. Resetting the DB. Deleting the config folders in ProgramData and Windows Program Files. And I keep getting the error. Like something is still left on the machine, with a setting that is causing he fault. Ideas?? How do I completely remove everything from the Veeam Agent from the machine and start over?
When I select Direct to Object, no capacity tier, and Archive, nothing shows up in Archive. Why does this not work? To upgrade my VEEAM 11 server with Windows 10, I need to replace the motherboard, ram and CPU in order to get to Windows 11 Pro. Why doesn’t VEEAM support Open Source for Backup and Recovery? I run Ubuntu 24.04.3 with Linux 6.8.0-83-generic kernel.

Object First storage is used in our main data center.Regional backups are first stored locally, then copied to Object First at the main site using a forever incremental job (using Scale Out repo and Object First configured as capacity tier)Now If full backup data needs to be sent to AWS (e.g., when decommissioning a regional application server), it can be done from the main site through a secondary copy—without using the regional office’s primary copy.
Hello Everyone,We are using Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 Flex with a license for 250 users.During the initial setup, we tested with 1 user to validate the configuration. After confirming everything was working properly, we deleted this backup job and created a new policy to protect the actual 250 production users.However, we are still seeing the backup for the original test user, and the license usage shows 251 users consumed, even though our license count is 250.I have a few questions regarding this situation: How can we delete or revoke this test user so that it no longer consumes a license? If we keep the test user without removing it, will this impact production users (e.g., only 249 users protected)? Is there any automatic cleanup or retention process that eventually removes old test accounts from the license count, or must it always be handled manually? Any guidance on how to properly handle this case would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance for your support.

In the old tool it was possible to set more options!Restore Point Simulator it’s more precise!Where are in this tool? Incremental with Active or Syntethic backup / Reverse?
Backup schedule periodically every n number of minutes/hours is a not customizable. It selects a random time and other jobs takes over the same schedule time with similar schedule. Time periods also of no use as it doesn’t run if a specific time is selected. This should be permitted 24 hours or else the job won’t run. It all depends on the random time selected by the job.It is a disaster that multiple jobs will run at same and throws errors.

Hi all,I finally found time to deploy the most recent version of v13 (final first release) within my lab and I quickly ran into the issue that the Web GUI shows "failed to check for updates" even after I ran through the process and updates the appliance.The host management GUI shows that the system is up-to-date, so I assume that the update was installed successfully - the VSA even rebooted during that process. I already restarted the VSA (and the whole lab environment tbh) so there can't be any caching issue as far as I can tell. Veeam Support Case is already open. Backup for vmsrv0 on hyper v host1 worked always before, but for hyper v host1 i forgot that i turned off vmsrv0 vm LOL, so veeam was backing up a turned off vm. I went into host1 and switched from vmsrv0 to vmsrv1 running the same/replica (OS-Suse Linux Enterprise 12), did not continue backup chain, i just created a new backup to drive. Software deployment and Vulnerability or patching agent. Is this possible without affecting the software’s supportability?

Bom diaEstou neste momento a ter o seguinte problema no Veeam Backup & Replication 12. Build: 12.3.2.3617:O job inicia como mostra a figura em anexo e depois fica parado em “Getting list of local users”. Tenho de o Parar “Stop” porque fica horas parado neste ponto.Este job é referente a um servidor que contem software da Xerox e sempre funcionou diariamente.Ha 6 dias que não faz backup deste servidor “printers”. Já vi nesta máquina qaquina se existia firewall ou regras que bloqueassem o job - embora não tenha alterado nada -, já Reconfigurei o job, já atualizei este servidor veeam, já testei o job manualmente - que fica nesta situação -, espaço em disco há nos dois servidores tanto no “printers” como no “veeam”, já validei as credenciais, enfim estou a ficar sem ideias do que possa ser para ultrapassar esta situação.Como referi este job sempre existiu e sempre funcionou bem.Alguém tem alguma ideia de como ultrapassar este situação, para que me possa ajudar?Obrigado
Hi,I’m using a GFS tape job to store my backup jobs. It contains 12 monthly and 5 yearly jobs. If I want to show all restore points, I only see until may 2025. All restore points before are not showed. When I’m searching my emails, I’m able to find the tape which contains the not shown backups. On the tape I will find the monthly backup, I’m searching for.I few months ago, I do not know how many, I changed the name of the tape job. He seems to work.What can I do? So I’ve been trying to restore a VM to my Proxmox cluster and I keep getting an error `Failed to reach the hypervisor. Error output: can’t open ‘ssh-public-key-string’ - File name too Long`. I tried recreating the workers, testing the connections and rechecking all the configs I can think of and I can’t get past this point. Every host is configured with IP and ‘root’ credentials. Each is available and the workers start up seemingly fine. Running ‘Veeam Backup and Replication 12 Build : 12.3.2.3617` on Windows Server 2022 Standard

He conseguido obtenerlas para los Jobs de tipo Backup, Backup to Tape y Replication, pero no he podido sacar los de tipo SOBR Tiering. ¿Alguien puede darme la función o el código con la que puedo obtenerlas?
