Hi All, when i tried to restore guess file , i faced an error like this below, could you please help ?
We are running a Kasten K10 v7.5.3, using NFS service as export profile. Hola, alguien que tenga experiencia configurando políticas de retención utiliza el plugin veeam ibm db2??He podido configurar el respaldo, y se va directo al repositorio sin embargo no encuentro como aplicar políticas de retención, por ejemplo 10 años para los respaldos full y 3 meses para los respaldos incrementales… Agradecería si alguien conoce como hacerlo.Gracias

Hi,I’m using a blueprint to backup Odoo databases and using kando to export them to a S3 bucket.The output backup file is around 10GB. I’m seeing a RAM spike in the kanister-job container doing the job, and then crashing with exit code 137 (OOMKilled), but there’s no limits and there’s enough RAM on the node it was scheduled on. Hi, During my testing phase, I’ve setup some S3 endpoints with immutability enabled and tested some policies against it. Since that phase is done, I’ve deleted policies and location to recreate everything from scratch with the right naming and permissions. I’ve also made sure to delete any restore points in Kasten, so the list was empty prior to deleting everything. My new policies and profiles works great, but I have Kasten notifications referring to the old location name and I don’t know how to get rid of them : I could just add the old profiles back targeting the right buckets but they won’t be used. But if that’s the way, then how to cleanly delete those ressources ? Thanks,
Hi.I have Veeam One 12.3.0 installed and running. When I start setup.exe form 12.3.2 version I have only option Install instead Upgrade. Is any way to force upgrade mode? Or some registry changes maybe? Thanks and regardsPiotr

We are using a Quantum Scalar i3 tape library with a 25-slot license. Accordingly, we've created a partition for 25 tapes and currently have 25 tapes loaded, the cleaning tape ist tape 26 and not in the partition.The problem:We need to perform a cleaning operation via Veeam using the cleaning tape. Hi All,Does anyone know how to kill off a stuck job. I have a windows agent job that runs on a physical machine. The job itself runs fine and is still working according to the agent on the physical machine itself. However, in my veeam backup and replication console, there is always this job running. Its not the scheduled one as when that runs, I then get 2 instances of the job. The proper one finishes but there is always this stuck one. So it always looks like I have 1 job running.I logged a veeam ticket but they just directed me to https://www.veeam.com/kb1727 this page which ive already done.its not a massive drama, just annoying. I’ve restarted the services\jobs several times and rebooted the physical backup server. Any ideas?ThanksJames
We are using Veeam Enterprise Backup & Replication 12 in a mixed VMware VM and physical Windows network.We have upgraded all of our Windows servers to Server 2025. Backups on non-domain controllers had no issue post update but our domain controllers are all failing with the same error once the OS was upgraded: Failed to index guest file system. VSSControl: Index failed There are no connectivity issues between the domain controllers and the Veeam servers and proxies. The domain controllers were not all upgraded on the same day, but each would fail as soon as the OS upgrade occurred. So one day the DC running on Server 2022 would be able to be backed up with no issues, the night its upgraded it would fail. No other changes other than OS upgraded. No changes to virtualization or network infrastructure.

Since upgrading our backup server to Windows 2025, on Veeam the WD devices are showing as unavailable and we are unable to rejoin them to active directory.This has only happened since upgrading to windows server 2025
Not new to the software but new to setting up a backup system. I will be “promoted” to Backup Administrator and as part of the training I need to set up my own system. Currently, I have VEEAM B&R 12 installed on a desktop and running two tests - one successful, the other is a failure.Test One is creating a simple job - VEEAM to back up a directory on the same desktop which is my “server”. The job works fine, understand the setup and job tasks.Test TWO is creating a simple job to an endpoint (my laptop). I am using a simple policy to export one application namespace to MinIO from our Openshift Cluster. Everything works in Kasten upon the point of exporting the metadata, where it hangs.

I’m trying to investigate the levels of Veeam dedup/compression thats typically seen when using a non deduplication appliance. Is it really between 2:1 and 3:1? Again I’m thinking about typical VM workloads.Also if using XFS and fast clone it works in a similar fashion to dedup.Be interested if anyone has any data on data reduction thats “real world”thanks

Hi All, I am trying to configure backup alerts for the Nutanix backups same as VMware in the Nutanix proxies using Azure by creating the App registration process, we have configured everting as per Veeam article but now while sending test email we are getting some SSL error also it is showing not authorized with Microsoft even though it is showing authorized during configuration. In Azure app registration for the same we have selected platform as single page application only, is that correct or we need to select platform as web? please help to resolve this issue as I am not getting much support from Veeam support. Need your help and advice for the same as for Mail configuration we are using Microsoft with modern authentication using port 587.
