Buongiorno, ho aggiunto una risorsa file server come “unstructured data” al mio veeam versione 12.3.2, ho creato un file backup job che copia dei file (100 gb creati ogni giorno come export di DB) dal file server (il server è dove c’è installato veeam) ad una share remota e archivia gli stessi su un S3 ed ho impostato la retention a 3 giorni; nel verificare un restore in effetti ho la possibiltà di restorare, oltre al giorno della copia, i 3 giorni precedenti come da impostazione della retention; il mio problema è l’occupazione spazio su disco : nel verificare le proprietà della cartella di destinazione ho notato che ogni giorno viene incrementata dei Gb creati e non viene eseguita la pulizia dei vecchi retention days precedenti ai 3 giorni come impostato. Come posso eseguire una pulizia? E soprattutto è possibile impostare una pulizia automatica dei vecchi retention days?grazie.

Hey, I am a new VRO user, and I have just setup my vro server and I am ready to test orchestration plans. I'm running into an issue, and I was hoping that the forum could assist.I have a Prod site VBR server.with a DR site with simple VBR for replication purpose.In same network 3rd site (new machine) with VRO server included embeded components , VBR, ONE,VRO I have connected both vcenters in the configuration. So if i connect only my DR site VBR and added both Vcenter into VRO inventry is it work.Please let me know if you need any other information, I am happy to share with you.

We have to diable Backup Jobs for Updates and reboots. There is a risk of letting the jobs diabled after reboot! It would be great to disable the Jobs in the GUI for some time only! With API calls we have to diable MFA for this account what can bring a security risk!  

Hi Experts,I am facing an issue where the Veeam Management Agent is not connecting on Mac machines, showing a connection failure error.In the same network environment, Windows and Linux machines are connecting successfully without any issues. The problem occurs only with macOS devices.I have already checked the following: No firewall blocks are present Required ports 6180 and 443 are open No antivirus or security software blocking communication Other OS machines in the same network connect successfully However, Mac machines alone are unable to connectHas anyone encountered a similar issue or can suggest troubleshooting steps? Regards,Dhanapal

We’re planning a large-scale migration of Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, moving the object repository from one S3 backend to another S3 backend (cluster to cluster). We’re talking about approximately 1.2PB of data.The challenge: we want to complete the migration without losing restore points / effective retention, and without duplicating the storage footprint during the retention period (duplicating 1.2PB is not an option).I’d like to ask the community:1️⃣ Has anyone performed an S3 → S3 migration of VB365 data at this scale? What approach worked for you (storage-level replication, incremental sync with aws s3 sync, rclone, endpoint switch, etc.)? I am trying to deploy Veeam Data Platform v13 on my windows server however i am getting the error “License is not valid for this product” when attaching the license to it before the deployment. Deployment cant proceed like the previous versions with no license.The foundation license was purchased late September before V13 was released so I suspected that was the case, I went into the license portal and generated a new license for V13 however the same error occurred. I have the windows defender the Kaspersky antivirus disabled to avoid having any error in deploying the license however I am stuck here.

Hello,I‘m very frustrated now. Had Community for years in use without any problems. Yesterday I could not open management console and get an error message. I try to reinstall software but get this error. Tried an installation on new W2022 same error. Search google - no success. Tried to solve this problem 8 hour. Now I‘m at the end of my knowlegde.  

Support recommended restarting the service to improve high memory usage caused by Veeam.Backup.CatalogDataService.exe.I would like to run PowerShell using Task Scheduler to periodically restart the service.To prevent job errors, I would like to output backup jobs and tape jobs when the running service is restarted, but I don't know how to do this.Get-VBRBackupSession | Where-Object {$_.Result -eq 'None'} seems to output running backup jobs, but I don't know how to output tape jobs.Please tell me the following:・ Is there a way to output appropriate running backup jobs other than those listed above?(Get-VBRBackupSession -Name $job does not work because it does not output when differences are being merged.)・ How can I output running tape jobs and GFS tape jobs?

Hi all,I am currently encountering an issue when backing up a very large NAS.Each file share is over 100 TB, and there are more than 3 backup jobs. The backup process has been running for 140 hours and is still only around 10-15% complete.We are currently backing up from a Nutanix file share and using the “Backup directly from file share” method in Veeam. I have split the proxy into two. The first proxy uses the VBR server itself, and the second proxy uses a VM from Nutanix.Is there another way to make the file share backup process faster? Or has anyone else experienced something similar? Because at this point, the backup process will not meet the RPO.

Hi all,I am using Openshift 4.16 and Kasten 8.0.2.And problem is that I am using one nfs server (we will call it NFS1) for keeping applications on it (with storageclass1) and another nfs server (NFS2) which i want to use for exporting snapshots.And problem that i have is for kasten to export applications that are on nfs1 to nfs2, although I created location profile, which point to pvc2, which later points to NFS2 server through storageclass2.But the funny thing is that when I am using app that is already hosted on nfs2, and try to backup it and to export it to nfs2 server, that works well.So, this problem only occurs when I want to backup apps from nfs1 and export their snapshot to nfs2.Any idea on this problem?

When i tried to restore my database using veeam explorer for oracle from a backup created using application aware processing i got :Failed to resolve path : /h01/oracle/agent/agent_13.4.0.0.0.  

If we use forward forever incremental backup on the tape, can we disable the full backup schedule? 

The error that I am getting is Outdated being agents, please upgrade or remove the following theme Agents from the production configuration. Shared-FS01 Veeam agent for windows 3.0.1.1039. And we got rid of that file share. But for some reason Veeam is still seeing it as a stale agent. I went back to the beam backup and replication console went to infrastructure physical. I found it an unmanaged, but it wouldn't allow me to delete it. So I tried creating a temp protection group. And the era I got was remote deployment and management is available for license agents only. Please change your backup service settings to allow manage agents to consume the license then perform a protection. Rescan. Then I went back to unmanaged and it disappeared.Sorry, I know to this whole Veeam thing. I have been tasked with it and I have very little experience with Veeam. Thanks.

Cuando se crea el backup copy sobre ese job para un repositorio que está fuera de oficina (este está en una red a través de un enlace MPLS y no tiene perdidas de paquetes) su velocidad y rendimiento baja y se vuelve lenta la tarea. Leí sobre poner un servidor Gateway para que sea más eficiente. Es correcto eso y si pueden dar una explicación más en detalle sobre ello? Saludos,

Hello community,We are running Kasten K10 v7.5.3 on OpenShift (bare metal) and encountering recurring backup job failures during the CopyVolumeData phase.In the logs, Kasten attempts to pull images from the internal OpenShift image registry and receives multiple 401 Unauthorized responses. Example error:GET https://image-registry.openshift-image-registry.svc:5000/openshift/token?scope=repository:<project>/<component>:pullunexpected status code 401 UnauthorizedOnly certain workloads are affected (those belonging to one project currently in a failed state by design).
