I’ve randomly had two backups corrupt at one of my clients. Not sure why it happened, but they did. On one of them, I deleted from disk all of the restore points on the local datastore, and took a new full. I left the cloud data alone, and as we speak, the new restore points are peacefully transferring offsite, no issue. The second backup has been a different story… Because of the nature of the server, I decided to take a new full and leave the old data in place, just in case. The new full local backup was fine, but the offsite failed. I tried running an active full of the offsite, but same deal; the offsite failed. So now I am trying a new strategy. I took a look at the restore points and 99% were corrupted (I believe this was the offsites), so I decided to just wipe everything and start from scratch, because I think the corrupted restore points are causing issues with the new data going offsite. The offsite failures have been throwing an error I’ve never seen before. I’ll paste it be

K10 5.5.4 on K3s (stable). All K10 deployments running, all pods also running, all PVCs bound. I was able to create a policy and use it (snapshot, export). Then I deleted that policy. Now no matter what policy settings I choose, “Create policy” button is dimmed and can’t be clicked on to apply.I tried different options including the ones I had before (simple snapshot + export). I also tried creating a policy for different applications - no change, the button is always dimmed. How to troubleshoot this?

Team,Having a hard time trying to get physical server boot from the bootable media if Secure boot enabled. Docs says it is supported, but I can boot up from the media as soon as it is disabled. See the error below. Any suggestions?  Cheers,Alex

Hi!I am starting a small lab based on the following Veeam webinar: The steps to deploy the lab are here:https://github.com/MichaelCade/project_pace/blob/main/Zero%20to%20Hero%20-%20Kubernetes%20and%20Kasten%20K10.mdI deployed this single environment in Oracle Virtual Box VM and Ubuntu desktop.But I have being problems with pre-flight checks: Some components are in error state and trying to restart.The Kasten GUI is working, but it is presenting the error: Request failed with status code 500 (dashboardbff-svc).  I can create policies but it is not possible to apply the “run once” command, for sample. Nothing happens.Do you know how can i fix it?Thanks for your help! :-)

bonjour a tous, j’espère que vous allez tous bien;j’utilise Veeam V10 et j’ai une tape lib qui est connectée a mon serveur VBR bien avant que je prenne la tache de backup, et je vois qu’elle fait la sauvegarde un peut aléatoirement, (des bandes jamais utilisées, des erreurs au moment de l’inventaire, code barres dupliqués ...) avez vous un article complet sous la main qui peut aider a re configurer la librairie a zéro svp?merci.

Buenos días, Pregunta sencilla de una cosa que he visto esta mañana:Backup de VM al que le aplico una retención de 15 días.No hay políticas de GFS.Backup que ejecuto a mano, sin scheduler.¿No se supone que a los 15 días, debe borrarme los ficheros del repositorio????Pues me voy a restaurar, 21 días después y me deja perfectamente. He comprobado el repositorio y confirmo que los ficheros están y no se han borrado.Se me escapa cualquier tontería?Gracias

Il ne s'allume pas d'un coup et il n'y avait pas de sauvegarde extérieur.  Il sont fait de sauvegarde à l interieur du serveur.Je ne sais pas si je peux réparer le serveur alors est-il possible de récupérer les données. 1. Le serveur n'a pas été virtualisé2.hpe proliant generation5.3. Les disques durs sont :Les 2 premiers disques sont utilisés en raid 1 et installés sur les fenêtres.Les autres disques avec Raid 5 (process manager)Un disque pour la sauvegarde.Tout le conseil sont utile aidez moi svp.Merci d avance

Is there a way to test the encryption key on backups without having to run a restore? I ran into a situation recently where the encryption password did not work on restored data. I want to setup Enterprise Manager for everyone, but in the interim, I’d like to manually test each encryption key and reset it/run a new full backup if need be. Is there a way to recover an encryption key with Service Provider Console?

hello,i have two Vmware Clusters now both in 6.7 version i want to upgrade to 7 version but for some hardware reaseans i can’t upgrade replication cluster. i already have a replication job in veaam replicate VMs from the master cluster to the replication cluster, my question is if i upgrade the master cluster to 7 version is the replication will work ???? 

Hi All,I have a question about completing replication jobs if the replication windows exceeds.  For the initial replication, Veeam will transfer the base full size of the replicated VM. Let's suppose it's a huge size VM and initial replication did not finish in the repli action window.When the next schedule run, will Veeam start transferring from the beginning for the initial full or incremental replica that does not finish, or it will continue from the stopped point abd replication does not take another time and size? I have read about (resume disconnect) but need to make sure from the experts? https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/vsphere/replica_resume_disconnect.html?ver=110Let's suppose the replication window from(17:00-23:30) only. Thanks

I set up a Replication Job from the Main to the DR site for a VM running in vSphere and everything is fine.Now I have to move the replica VM to another datastore located at the same DR site.I could perform a storage vMotion on the replica VM, but I have some doubt: - would a storage vMotion on the replica VM harm the Veeam Replication Job? - should I need to modify the replication job in order to point it to the new datastore? - would I need to delete the replica job, perform the storage vMotion, and then re-create the replica job, seeding it with the existing replica VM (would like to avoid that...)?How to do that in the most secure / efficient way? Thank you
