Sorry to bother the community again… but today i started to do restore-tests from successfull backups and ran into JetError -582. I cant find anything about this error.What I did:I tried to restore a single item from our scheduled exchange server backup. Everything worked until the database should have been opened. The backup I tried to restore from was the most recent and finished without warnings or errors.  It was an incremental backup. 3 hours before the faulty backup I did a manual incremental backup too (just for testing). Restoring items from this backup was successfull.Is there a possibility to repair the faulty backup / database / missing logfiles?Will all further incremental backups be faulty?Will a full backup solve this problem?Thankes a lot in advance :) 

not sure what the issue is but im using local admin credentials to add these new proxy servers into my backup infra. subsequently when creating new jobs these proxies are not showing up as availble for usage. any ideas?

Now that 12 is out and we can officially get our hands on gMSA it seems the documentation is a bit lacking. My migration to V12 went smooth and EASY! Didn’t even get to finish my lunch before it had completed. I am using gMSA within my environment for other applications so I have familiarity with this functionality. I was able to link the gMSA within the Managed Credentials (like normally), however I don’t see gMSA being an option for linking to a physical agent job within V12. I just see the typical standard account settings. I made sure my physical agents are on version 6 now and also did a rescan of them, which then did another transport update. I then updated the running services to use the gMSA account on the actual veeam services, but again nothing is showing up.  Anyone have any insight to this before I open a case on this?

Unable to install Veeam Version 5.03 onto my computer. Hi all, As I am new to this community hub I would like to start with a discussion about the VeeamOne custom reporting. How cool would it be to collect all your favorite reports and send them in one file. Well, it’s possible but I am struggling a bit with the lay-out of the PDF, Excel file and Word file that will be generated by VeeamOne.I was hoping that it would be fixed in v12 but apparently they didn’t manage or maybe even didn’t know about it.So what is happening?By generating a report by custom report builder, the lay-out is much different then how it is supposed to be. Every grapic, every table, summary and overview will be used on one full page. We can not send this output to our clients that contains 40 pages more then nesseccary. I wonder if people are strugling with this issue and if there is a fix available.

Hi, I already create an account for my client and then they should send an email of invitation link to my client email address but my client do not received the invitation link. The next step is create password for the account but I cannot proceed to the next step because my client do not received the invitation link email.I tried to re-register using the same email address but it said the email already been used. There is an option to restore access to your account, I click the option and it asked an email address. I put my client email address, but it said “Failed to send”. Is there anything I can do to login to my client account?

For the second time in two days backup is stuck at 90 or 91 percent. Software is running, but the backup job is stuck in concrete. I restarted veeam, I restarted veeam services and backup server, nothing helped, its stuck. I have two servers to backup. yesterday backup was stuck in win2012r2 exchange server backup; today its the win2016 fileserver. today veeam backuped the data disk successfully, but the system disk not. the exchange server is on the system disk. maybe that info helps. it seems to be a problem with backuping windows (and not data).Case-Nr.05908107

Hello all,This is a weird situation. A couple months ago, we had a production system issue and we used Veeam’s instant recovery to bring a database server back online. Being a small IT shop, once the server was up and available we transitioned to user support and long story short, we never finalized the restore and moved to production. Fast forward a couple of months and we were hit by a ransomware attack and all of our VM files (.vmdk, .vmx etc) have been encrypted. We were able to find a snapshot of our storage that seems to be intact from a few days before the attack, but the actual files in that snapshot for this particular server do not boot, which is what it did to trigger the instant recovery months ago.My question is, where would this VM have been running? Is there a hope of it also being on the snapshot somewhere? We do not have a well-versed Veeam person on staff, our entire IT department has been here a maximum of 4 years and none of us were involved in the deployment of thi

Hi, there. I’m trying to use muti-cluster portal using k10mutilcluster. First, I succeeded to setup primary cluster like below.  However, I can not join secondary cluster to muti-cluster portal and faced the error message like image below.  I don’t know why the secondary cluster can not add in multi-cluster. So, What should I check it?  Plz help me. Thank you.  

Hello everyone,If we are going to use Veeam to backup VDI and RDSH on vSAN cluster, what are the recommendations for RDSH and VDI (Full, linked, instant) clones backup? I think backup linked and instant clones doesn’t make sense, we can backup gold images, full clones, users profiles. I appreciate your feedback and if there is validated design document for this solution to be shared.

Hi all.We are looking to utilize azure PostgreSQL PaaS for the config DB for Veeam V12 but need to know if this is supported. Docs show PostgreSQL is supported but doesn't specifically say if we can use PaaS. 

Buongiorno a tutti.In azienda ho implementato una strategia di backup delle nostre vm che si basa su dei backup jobs che scrivono sui dischi fisici del server veeam stesso ( windows server 2016 con filesystem NTFS) ai quali ho agganciato dei backup copy jobs ( un job e copy job per ognuna della circa 20 vm) che scrivono su un SOBR formato da linux box ubuntu 22.04 con immutability attivata e a ruota su capacity tier cloud s3 compatibile con object lock attivato. Lo spazio cloud richiesto è di circa 10 TB (arrotondato per difetto). Il tutto funziona regolarmente ma purtroppo i costi sostenuti per lo spazio cloud sono abbastanza importanti (Reevo) , al punto che sto seriamente pensando di switchare a Wasabi. Sto testando una trial di 30gg e le performance di upload sono superiori a quelle che ottengo attualmente. Ho provato l’immutabilità, il download, tutto ok... L’unica cosa che molto onestamente mi lascia perplesso è il costo di wasabi, talmente basso rispetto a quanto pagato ora ( st

Hello, I’m trying to set up an external repository in CE12.  I was able to create the container ‘backups’ and I can see it when I go through the repository wizard in Veeam BUT the wizard requires a folder as well as a container.  For the life of me I can’t figure out how to create a folder in the container.  Any help?

Hi Team, The customer wants to setup ransomware alerts on Veeam One. And also wants that if any alert comes then backup should be stopped.I have checked the documentation and found that action option is available in alert setting where we have option to run script. can you please help me with the script.Thanks!!

The company I work for has recently taken over another, with each having its own network, domain & Veeam B&R setup.  One side (A) is mostly broken from the backup side with B&R installed on an ancient server and the repository using the same storage as VMs which has quickly filled up.  A & B live in the same data center, connected through their own firewalls.  My first thought to fix this mess is to remove the broken B&R completely from A (remove from hosts etc) and use the working sides (B) B&R, utilising a Veeam proxy installed in A.  Any thoughts or suggestions?  Would the firewall only need to be opened between B&R in B and proxy in A?

Hello, i'm using Veeam Backup & Replication 11 to backup a VM. This is working fine, but the order Backup-Files (vbk) wont get deleted.  My Settings so far: Retention Policy: 10 days Reverse incremental Active Full Backup -Create active full backups periodically: Sunday Full backup file maintenance - Remove deleted items after: 7 days Would be great if someone can give me a hint which setting is missing

Hello, We’ve tried upgrading our VBR/EM from V11 to V12 GA today. EM upgrade goes fine, but:VBR upgrade issues a warning at the beginning, requesting to… upgrade EM, although it’s already in V12 and operational. It’s just a warning though and we can continue the upgrade The upgrade then fails in the 1st step with an error “TFS354792” about a database patch missing. We also tried to completely uninstall/reinstall VBR but the installation fails at the same step with the same errorI’ve seen kb4204, but I don’t get why it fails for a completely standard upgrade from the latest level of V11  ( 11.0.1.1261 P20220302 )?We had a couple of “private” fixes installed after P20220302 for various issues with cdp, could it be related? 

I have 3 issues that I cannot resolve nor find answers to.I’m running the Windows Community Edition V5.0.0.4708 on two Windows machines.  One is Windows 10  22H2 and the other is Windows 11  21H2. These two machines are being backed up to a file share on my TrueNAS server.The first issue is that from time to time the backup fails with the following error message: “Error: The network path was not found. Failed to get free space on disk '\\xxx.yyy.zzz.nnn\Clients' --tr:Error code: 0x00000035 … The network path was not found”.  I configured the back to use either host name or IP address as the backup target, but it seems to make no difference.  This happens on both machines.I thought that it might be a timing issue that when the computer wakes up to do the backup, the backup starts before the computer has established a network connection.  On the Windows 10 machine, using the BIOS I able to create a wake up event approximately 2 minutes before the Veeam agent started.  This lessened the i

Actually I have tried to install v12 RTM as a in-place upgrade on 4 customer servers now and all fail.Veeam support has been on remote session and we will continue the work tomorrow since it also failed at last attempt after hours of troubleshooting. Would be interesting to hear if there is anyone else who has been issues with the upgrade? The servers I have tested has the latest v11 build and server 2016. Very simple deployments with few config settings so no big issue. But so far I am a bit concerned to start upgrading larger deployments.

Hi All,Currently we are using Agent managed backup jobs. When we perform the decommission of backup jobs/remove a computer/workstation from backup job/rotation, we have to keep track of the retention of deleted computer/job manually and to remove the backup copies from ‘Disk(Orphaned)’/’Disk(Imported)’ . We have also enabled the ‘Remove deleted items data after’ parameter. But still we could see some scenarios were we want to delete the backup copies manually. My expectation is Veeam to delete the backup copies automatically once it crosses the set retention (even after the job/computer is removed from backup rotation). Is there a way to achieve it?
