good day, the release notes of v 5.5.2 say that now it’s possible to hide applications from the dasboard by using an Helm flag. https://docs.kasten.io/latest/operating/monitoring.html#k10-compliance Since I’m pretty new to this stuff, I did not understand how can I exclude applications: should I edit a yaml in Openshift for kasten-io project (I’m running on oscp, sure) or shoud I export K10 settings with the command:# helm get values k10 --output yaml --namespace=kasten-io > k10_values.yamlthen edit file file k10_values.yaml adding the Flag and the app names to hide and then reconfigure k10# ??’ how? thanks!!!

Did anyone a comparison of Pure Portworx PX-Backup and Kasten K10? General conditions of our environment:- Veeam VBR (and other Veeam Products) in place- Mostly OpenShift kubernetes clusters Most clusters OnPrem on vSphere but public cloud is on the road map- Currently NetApp Trident as PV storage but this is a moving part and we evaluate Pure Portworx OnPrem If Portworx is our new OnPrem PV storage it might be a complicated decision.

Hi Everyone,I need help with a trip down memory lane. When was the linux helper host introduced. If I am not completely confused I remember that you used to have to use a helper appliance that Veeam would install on Esx but then later introduced the Helper Host where you could simply use a Veeam host in your managed servers to help mount the linux file system. It has been a while and I could be off target with this  Was it one of the V11 updates? I will dig and see maybe between 10 and 11.

Hi guys, i know that in v11 is not recommended use the dedup repo as primary backup storage, is there any news in v12 ? The customer wanna buy 2 x Quantum DXI dedup hw appliance (each site one dedup appliance) and i3 scalar tape library. From my point of view, the best pracices is - backup to ntfs/refs/xfs repo as primary backup and after create a 2 backup copy jobs to each dxi appliance and after create a tape backup job. BUT.The customer wants a send the primary backups to DXi and after to tape. its possible or its bad plan ? Thx.Tom.

Hi, We have a Dell Power Protect appliance with 7.5TB of space, when I check the used space on the Veeam console, I found that it's only shows me the pre-compression value as used space (8 Tb). The console also shows me the free value (7 Tb) and I think it's correct after data compression. So I still have other servers to add on veeam with 5TB of data and I want to know if our Dell Power Protect will support this extra space or not. Thank you.

Good day all, hoping to find someone who has either seen this or may know where I could start to troubleshoot (I'll open a ticket with support as well, just hedging my bets here). We've used Veeam for server/VM backups for a few years and it's awesome.For workstation backups, we've used Carbonite (don't ask, we've tried to get rid of it in the past but got shot down by higher ups/non administrators) but it has been decided that we're not going to renew this year (got about a month left on our annual term).Over the last year, I implemented OneDrive KFM so that our desktop and documents folders are resilient and more "portable", which has made our hardware swaps much smoother and reduced the need for Carbonite.But I digress...while nobody actually said to go find a replacement for Carbonite (it seems to be the thought that OneDrive KFM is a replacement for backups,.which I know it's not), I am looking into alternatives, and Veeam would seem like the logical choice. I’m a user of Veeam B&R Community Build 11.0.1.1261, and I’ve just started experiencing a problem a second time that I thought was fixed.Some time ago (a couple of weeks to a month), I started experiencing an issue with Veeam backups. When it would try backing up, it would quickly error out with the following error:Warning    Failed to synchronize [Backup Repository] Details: Failed to call RPC function 'NfsIsExist': Failed to reset previous connection exception: Permission denied. The first time that happened, I assumed it was because I was disabling Veeam services that I thought were unnecessary. Despite re-enabling them, the error persisted. I eventually realized my installation of B&R was out of date, so I installed an updated version and that seemed to fix the issue for the time being.Fast forward to today, and I’m seeing the aforementioned error again when trying to run backups. I am currently using Veeam B& R version 11. I am trying to get Veeam to use TLS 1.2 instead of SSL 2.0 and 3.0. My Vulnerability scanner shows that Veeam is still using SSL for its connections. How do i force Veeam to use TLS 1.2 instead of SSL?

J’ai lu dans la documentation que j’avais la possibilité de mettre en place un serveur de distribution pour la gestion des agents veeam à déployer sur les différents sites. Est-ce que l’idéal serait d’avoir un serveur de distribution par site ? Ou devrais-je opter pour un seul serveur de distribution qui se chargera de les gérer tous ?
