I am preparing to update Veeam for Microsoft 365 from 8.1.2.180 to 8.3.0.2201 and I just want to make sure I am all set in case there are any issue after the update. I don’t believe I have any PostgreSQL or NATS setup that I can recall from when I set this up. I suppose if I do it is all default. It also appears there is no config backup option in this program. We do back up this server, but it does hold both V365 and VBR, so not sure if that complicates things from a restore standpoint if there is a problem with the V365 update.I’m probably overthinking it, but it is the first time I will be updating V365 and just want to make sure my jobs and repositories don’t break or need adjustments after the update.The main reason for this update other than the prompt for an update was that we received a one time email last week saying “License update interrupted: License contract has been terminated” even though subscription and user licenses are active as far as we can tell. Hi,we are planning to use the Veeam Data Cloud for Salesforce Backup. We need to keep backups for 2 years. What, if we decide to switch the backup-partner. For example Salesforce native backup? We cancle our subscription. Fair-Use-Policy will delete the backups after 30 days, correct? What options do we have, to keep  the backups as long as our requirements are? The same question would be, if we decide to use veeam backup for m365 in the data cloud. Here we would have onedrive files, with a retention time of 2-10 years.  We do not plan to quit anything, but we need a valid exit strategie if we decide to use a cloud product.

Hi all. Running Windows Server 2019 as a standalone Hyper-V server. The server is in a workgroup.I have installed the community edition of VBR 12, and configured my backup repository.When trying to configure a new Hyper-V backup job, Veeam gives me a message to say that it cannot connect to the ADMIN$ share. However, if I type \\localhost\ADMIN$ into the run box, then the folder does open.I’ve tried setting my host name to localhost, to the server name and to it’s IP address. I’ve also tried with the current logged in credentials, and have tried by enabling the administrator account.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks, and have a great weekend!

Good day Running Veeam Community v12 with a VMWare environment. I am running a backup of 3 VMs. Since I installed Veeam I cannot do a backup copy of a job for one of my servers. The 2 other servers that I run a backup copy and send it in a remote location works but that server I always get this error: Processing [server name] Error: Times out waiting for NFS async IO block callback. Timeout: 180000 msec Failed to download disk 'filenameofserver-flat.vmdk'. Shared memory connection was closed. Failed to upload disk 'filenameofserver-flat.vmdk' Agent failed to process method {DataTransfer.SyncDisk}.Some restore points were not processed The local backup works but I cannot get the backup copy to workI created a different backup job for this server alone but I also get that error. The option I was thinking to do is to do a backup job just for this but i’d like to figure out why only that server on the same host as the 2 other servers is causing me this problem. Thanks for the help

Hello everyone,After upgrading Veeam Backup & Replication from version 12.3.2.4165 to 13.0.1.1071, we also upgraded Veeam Plug-In for Microsoft SQL Server using the ISO 13.0.1.1071, which installed Veeam Plug-In version 13.0.1.180.The upgrade process completed successfully without any visible errors.However, after the upgrade, SQL Server backups are no longer running successfully.All SQL backup jobs are now failing with the following error:Error: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server] Database is invalid or cannot be accessed Before the upgrade, backups were working correctly with no issues.Has anyone experienced a similar issue after upgrading to Veeam 13?Any suggestions on what to check would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi,Do we need to open ports manually on every vm acting as backup proxy,gateway server,mount server vm for dell dd(backup repository) and vbr server when these vms are in vcenter added in vbr infrastruxture along with other vms who will be backed up.customer has fortinet firewall installed in their environment.they have to use dell dd for backup jobs and tape for archiving.

Hello,Using Veeam 365 community edition, backing up our Sharepoint site always end with warnings of: Processing site: https://**********.**** completed with warning: Failed to backup item version: /********/********/********/.****, version: 2.0, Download timeout exceeded (last error: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host..). All retry attempts failed. Re-run the backup job to proceed. Total count of failed items: 17The file it stops on changes each time and the number of files, still backs up most data but it is never fully successful. We have 20 backup applications, the backup is running and downloading data but it’s average processing rate is only around 500kbpsAnyone else seen this, what other logs to check in Veeam or Office 365 or a fix? Running version 8.3.0.2201 P20251212

Orchestrator is on its own server. I assume I want the Veeam Backup & Replication ISO and Veeam ONE ISO. However, I’m wondering what am I missing out if I don’t get the “Advanced” ISO. Thanks!

Hi all,I have recently built a new Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 server (v8.3.0.2201 P20251212) and attached existing Azure Blob storage from a previous server which contains backup data I need to restore from.The issue is the Microsoft 365 tenant was previously named [OLD-TENANT-NAME].onmicrosoft.com and has since been renamed to [NEW-TENANT-NAME].onmicrosoft.com. Both entries share the same Office ID ([OFFICE-ID]) which is causing a duplicate conflict and preventing me from accessing the existing restore points.The error we are seeing is:A duplicate organization Office ID was found in the repository (Office ID: [OFFICE-ID])The old tenant no longer exists in Microsoft 365 as it was renamed. The backup data in the blob storage is tied to the old org entry and we need to remap it to the current tenant so we can perform restores.What we have already tried:Removed the old organisation entry from the Veeam console - did not resolve the conflict Removed and re-added the Azure Blob reposito

The customer needs to upgrade the operating system from RHEL 9.7 to a supported version, as RHEL 9.7 will reach end of support soon. ConstraintsThe hardware for the Linux Hardened Repositories was purchased in 2023, and the customer intends to continue using it. The license subscription of RHEL will expire in December 2026. The customer is planning to upgrade to Veeam v13.

Hi Experts,I am facing an issue where the Veeam Management Agent is not connecting on Mac machines, showing a connection failure error.In the same network environment, Windows and Linux machines are connecting successfully without any issues. The problem occurs only with macOS devices.I have already checked the following: No firewall blocks are present Required ports 6180 and 443 are open No antivirus or security software blocking communication Other OS machines in the same network connect successfully However, Mac machines alone are unable to connectHas anyone encountered a similar issue or can suggest troubleshooting steps? Regards,Dhanapal

Buongiorno, ho aggiunto una risorsa file server come “unstructured data” al mio veeam versione 12.3.2, ho creato un file backup job che copia dei file (100 gb creati ogni giorno come export di DB) dal file server (il server è dove c’è installato veeam) ad una share remota e archivia gli stessi su un S3 ed ho impostato la retention a 3 giorni; nel verificare un restore in effetti ho la possibiltà di restorare, oltre al giorno della copia, i 3 giorni precedenti come da impostazione della retention; il mio problema è l’occupazione spazio su disco : nel verificare le proprietà della cartella di destinazione ho notato che ogni giorno viene incrementata dei Gb creati e non viene eseguita la pulizia dei vecchi retention days precedenti ai 3 giorni come impostato. Come posso eseguire una pulizia? E soprattutto è possibile impostare una pulizia automatica dei vecchi retention days?grazie.

Hello, I have a cluster on my Veeam v13 software appliance I’m looking to configure with CDP, however when i go to install the I/O filter the cluster doesn’t show up. What am I missing. I do have CDP configured on Veeam and another cluster is configured with it. Any ideas? 

I installed the Veeam 12.3.2.3617 on a virtual Windows Server 2025 and this has been a very bad experience.  I started to migrate the repository data to the new server, but it has become very unusable.  Now when I look up the issues on the web with Veeam, other people seem to have similar issues when using server 2025 with the repository on a ReFS file system.  At this point, everything is in limbo, meaning that the server randomly hangs when Veeam runs.  30% of the repository has been moved, but I can’t seem to do anything with the server.  Every time we try to access Veeam repository it just hangs.Does anyone have any suggestions other than scrapping the Veeam backup installation completely?thanksMatt

We have to diable Backup Jobs for Updates and reboots. There is a risk of letting the jobs diabled after reboot! It would be great to disable the Jobs in the GUI for some time only! With API calls we have to diable MFA for this account what can bring a security risk!  

Let me explain the customer environment first.Customer has 3 Dell Poweredge servers (will name them pe1, pe2, pe3) and 1 Dell Powervault server. Customer uses pe1 and pe2 and has deployed 2 windows machines on them with hyperv on them respectively, pe1 has hyperv1 and pe2 has hyperv2. Customer has taken the storage of these hypervs from the Del Powervault server so that they have a large size. Customer has deployed a windows server on pe3 where veeam has been installed and the backup repository is on that pe3. Now, we added the 2 hyperv on veeam by adding them as standalone hyperv, hyperv 1 has 6 windows VMs under it and hyperv2 has 5 windows VMs under it.One of the windows VMs is showing a used capacity of 50 GB. Now this windows machine is a file server, has 2 partitions, the C partition where the 50 GB is used , and another Partition, the D partition that has almost 3 TB of files on them.On Veeam i only see the 50 GB used. If i run a backup schedule in order to backup the VM, this m
