Wie kann man einem Windows Agent Backup Job den Proxy anpassen, oder ändern?In einem VMWare Backup Job geht das ja recht einfach.In meinem Fall habe ich einen Fileserver Cluster (im HyperV) eingerichtet, diesen sichere ich nun.Leider ist hier die Backup Geschwindigkeit recht dürftig, weiß nicht, ob da ein Proxy helfen könnte.Wenn ja, wo stellt man den ein? DankeAndreas

I have a question. My current tape server has 4 SAS ports attached to my Quantum LTO-7 library. I can’t fit any more cards into this server, so that’s the max number of drives this one tape server will support.However, my tape library physically has *6* tape drives installed in it. Obviously, at the moment, only 4 are in use, as that’s all my tape server can handle. But I have a 2nd  tape server I can use, and it has 4 unused SAS ports. So what I want to do is, add this 2nd server to my Veeam environment as another tape server, and hook it up to my 2 used tape drives. That way, I should hopefully be able to drive all 6 tape drives at once., and Veeam will see the library as having 6 drives total. There should be no problem with that config, right? Veeam can utilize more than 1 tape server, surely. And since the drives are all in the same library, even if I have media pools that says use up to 2 drives at once,  it wouldn’t matter if one of those tapes was serviced by tape server #1, an

Just throwing this out to the community/Veeam to see what comes back!In reviewing V13 B&R Release notes I see that a really cool feature called Azure Instant Recovery is available, which does exactly that, recovers your VM directly from object storage to Azure and then you can finalize back to a normal managed disk. I’m currently embarking on a couple of Veeam Disaster Recovery Orchestrator gigs and in reviewing its capability to recover into Azure it only seems to support the streaming of the backup, like a standard restore where you have to wait for the whole backup to be recovered and processed, and then you can turn the recovered machine on.What I am curious about is if there are any roadmap plans/ feature requests to have Veeam DR Orchestrator do instant recovery to Azure as part of its orchestration to get things online much faster at scale… I still haven't tested Instant recovery to Azure with B&R so outside of sounding super slick, I cant comment on its useability or pe

Hello all, we are looking into SQL Server backup options, we have done a full server and a volume backup also. We see there is a Backup>Application>SQL option, however we cannot see the SQL option in our console….any ideas as we can see Oracle and Mongo available. Thanks in adavance, Tony.

Good day, I have a PVE 9.0.18 in my NUC, using local storage only. Yesterday I updated the VBR and Plugin to the very lastest versions. Hello Guys, These days Im started to experience a lot of problems with Veeam, every now and then the Veeam Backup and Replication Application and the whole server gets stuck and i could not do anything until i restart it, even some backup jobs started to fail. When i restart it goes fine for a while and then it does it again, and for the jobs a sometimes i see that the service Veeam installer service is stuck so i have to delete it and try the job again and sometimes it works.Did anyone experience this kind of issues lately? I’m having hard time dealing with this and i will be happy with any kind of support.Note:  i started to experience this issue after upgrading to 13 Version.Thank you.

Using Veeam Backup and Repliaction 12, and running a file backup, receiving the following error, “Error: Failed to connect to agent: ‘VeeamServerName’, EP ‘VeeamServer IP Address:2502’. The message received was  unexpected or badly formatted.

What happened to the Status column when viewing a backup job’s statistics?  After upgrading to version 13, I no longer see this column.  If a backup object fails, the job shows failed however you have to view each backup object in the job to see which one failed.  Prior to v.13, the status column would show which object failed. Was this intended in v.13 or am I missing it somewhere?

I attended the Veeam Toronto event recently and met some great people there and thought it might be time to join the Community.  Nice to be here and hope to spend some time giving back in the future.  For now, trying to work my way through the Veeam 13 upgrade as it’s the first where I’ve run into a major issue since starting with 9.5.I upgraded VeeamONE, Backup Enterprise, then B&R from 12.3 to 13 yesterday.  I have run into a couple of issues and currently have a support ticket open but thought I would highlight some growing pains here as well as ask if anyone has seen this yet.  The B&R upgrade process went smoothly until I got to the point where I opened the new console.First problem, logged in and console opened fine(after running as Administrator) but I lost access to my Nutanix AHV clusters and backup proxy machines int the backup infrastructure.  I have a mix of AHV and VMware clusters and the VMware side had no issues - my B&R VM and another Windows-based proxy use

Hi VC,Happy new year first of all!I’m currently backing up a SQL VM via the Veeam SQL Plugin to a datastore within my production environment, at the same time I’m replicating said VM via CDP to my DR site.I’ve currently setup the following schedule via the Veeam SQL Plugin:15 minute transaction / log backupDaily differential backup @ 18:30 (except Sunday)Weekly full backup (Sunday) @ 18:30The differential backups are failing when the CDP is enabled; the CDP runs 24-hours a day as we need near-zero dataloss.Any ideas how I can have these two running at the same time without the errors above?Many thanks,LGH

So turns out using Deployment Kit is the easiest way to be able to perform FLR to Windows from a Vsphere backup.Deployment kit by default contains a certificate of validity 1 month. Does the agent (transport service etc.) stop working after that? How do we manage those certs as we generally do not do many agent-based backups but want to be able to do FLR to original destination nevertheless.Thanks!

We’re setting up the Veeam Software Appliance (VSA). We got an error when we tried to connect to our storage device, "Failed to get certificate from: https://xxx.xxxxxx.xxx:5392." technical support has advised us to “ensure that the cipher suite 'TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA256' is enabled on the Veeam appliance.”The command “openssl version -d” returns “OPENSSLDIR: "/etc/pki/tls".” When I try to edit openssl.conf in that folder, I get an error, “E45: 'readonly' option is set”. How can I enable the cipher?Thanks for reading.

Hi, I’m running the most recent B&R CE version 13.0.1.180 and trying to create a recovery thumb drive.  I have tried multiple USB sticks and keep getting the same error:  Preparing USB disk Error: The system cannot find the path specified.   I know the USB sticks are good as they are new and I have tried multiple batches.  Anyone else experiencing this?
