Hi, We are utilizing the RestAPI in VBR11 to manage most of our jobs (reporting, start, stop, etc).It seems that SureBackup jobs are not included in the API, when communication with /api/v1/jobs Is there an roadmap for the API, where we can follow the progress? Or is this already included? :)

Hello everyone! I’m looking for the first time how to backup a physical windows machine and I notice that is missing something here:  I didn't find where I can choose what proxy will be process this job. I’m still reading help center session, but if anyone have some tip or advice for this kind of workload, please, just let me know.   

Hey Veeam Community,I am having a problem backing up my personal workstation to an external hard drive.I am using the free version of Veeam Agent for Windows.When I backup, my main (C:) Internal SSD shows:Local SSD (C:) (476.1 GB) 262.5 GB read at 142 MB/sHowever, my other Internal SSD ‘terabyte’ (X:)Terabyte (X:) (953.9 GB) 3.8 GB read at 4 MB/s.I benchmarked both of my drives with CrystalDiskMark and they both got good similar results being Sata SSD’s, so the X: drive should not be this slow.I’ve tried swapping sata ports, changing cables, disable throttling when system is in use, etc. Nothing seems to help.Can anyone help me diagnose what is causing one drive to backup so much faster? Thanks, Mike

I know there is a related topic with the same problem but that one is for version 5.0.0 There is a known problem with Windows 11 and the installation of Microsoft SQL Server where the engine will not install unless it is installed on a different drive or VHD.I understand Veeam Agent for Windows uses SQL Server technology which is probably why it fails to install.Question 1: Is Veeam working on a solution independent of Microsoft?Question 2: I installed SQL Server 2019 Express with support for local DB but Veeam Agent for Windows still fails. A little help would be appreciatedWe have old VMs (Debian 8) which replicates without problems.But the replication on new VMs (Debian 9) is corrupted, half of the services like SSH or UFW no longer open.The only difference is that the old VMs are Thick and the new ones are Thin.Is it possible that VEEAM Free does not support Thin VM replication? If yes, what can I do?

Good evening folks,got a question for you, hopefully the last one before Christmas, for an “issue” I’ve got with Veeam.B&R has a job that backups a list of vms, and that’s all good.Then I add a vCenter in the structure, and vCenter updates all nodes’ certificate.Ok.At this point, B&R Console needs a refresh and it’ll see all vms as new ones.Perfect, but.Next backup Veeam will save them as full backup, creating a duplicate of the vm in the backup file.Is there any way to avoid it?

Hi all, I have a followup question to As I described before I’m “forced” (at least for the moment) to put the storage also on the Veeam server itself. Overall there might be the possibibility that there will by ~20-30TB on vib/vkb files.  Can this still be realized within the Veeam VM?What are the alternatives if all data have to be on one physical server? BRFrank

Hey all - We’re trialing Kasten as a way to backup our clusters and also to have a ‘hot’ fail-over cluster in certain environments.Part of this deployment means I have ‘Cluster A’ backup it’s workloads, and ‘Cluster B’ importing them and restoring them to its cluster.The problem we are seeing is when cluster B imports and restores the workload, all our nodePort services are changing to random ports.I know I could go add each service ‘manually’ to cluster B to mitigate, but I’d like to avoid this if possible.I’ve also looked at transforms during import / restore, but I am unable to get the cluster to accept my replacement nodePort.Is there a way to turn this off this random nodePort generation so that we get a 1 - 1 replication of our workloads?Cheers! 

New job and one of my tasks is to cleanup VEEAM. Trying to make sure the backup settings are correct and consistent. I’m also renaming the jobs in a logical and consistent manner. First couple of renamed jobs ran last night. I was surprised that a) they did not take a new full and b) they did not create a new folder. I’m using Reverse Incremental. Can I safely rename the folders to reflect the name of the jobs?Will the vbk and vbm ever rename to the name of the job? I assume I can’t rename those manually.

I get the difference between RI and FI. The question is, if I’m using RI, can I do a full restore at a point in time in the past? As in, I walk in this morning and all my servers have been crypto. Obviously, the last backup (full) is useless. Can I ask for a full restore or instant recovery as of 2 days ago?

Hello everybody! I’d like to know if is possible to translate my reports of Veeam One.Anyone knows something about that? 

I work for an MSP and we rent Veeam licenses to our clients. We can monitor backups through the Veeam Service Provider Console but their are some features that are lacking using this. We are looking for a more robust monitoring to make certain that our clients backups are functioning. One specific thing that the VSPC lacks is reporting on issues with offloading to a capacity tier. Tech support verified this and put in a suggestion for this feature. We want something that has consolidated reporting. We look at the VSCP alerts twice per day currently.Does anyone know of any product that we can use to get better reporting on errors / alerts?
