Ich habe eine externe Festplatte, auf der in der Partition 1 das Recovery System und in der Partition 2 die Backup-Daten liegen (Standard Setup)

Wie erzeuge ich in der Partition 1 eine aktualisierte Version ohne die Partition 2 zu löschen?

Habe ich in den Standard-Optionen des “Create Recovery Media” nicht gefunden.

 

I am not sure you can do this, as you may need to move the backup data off the drive to another location, then create the media then put it back.


Oh 😣 that’s not really an option! I already used the way to 

  1. create a recovery USB-stick
  2. substitute the first partition of the external disk with the generated recovery partition

But I really thought that a professional tool could detect the available media and than just write the first partition (and perhaps boot block).

Also maybe check the forums to see if there is any posts there - https://forums.veeam.com you might have some luck there and also that is where feature requests go for Product Managers to see it.

Yes, that’s true for creation, but not for update.

Glad to hear you got a workaround.  You might want to do up a blog post or something so others that might have the same issue or question will have a good reference.  👍🏼
