Data drive of the backup server has two folder Backup Job 7 which has backup from Oct to Nov and XX-Backup job from Jan 24’ What would be the correct process to delete the backup jobs from CZ60-Backup job from Jan 24 

We need to install the Veeam agent on 2,000 devices within the organization, but centralized file restoration to multiple devices simultaneously is required. Currently, the Veeam Backup & Replication solution does not have this functionality, and it is needed to reduce restoration times for user operations to ensure business continuity in case of ransomware or disaster.

The company I work for is looking to improve its BCDR capabilities utilising Veeam and Azure.  Currently in a DC we have VBR (physical server with local storage repo) copying to Azure blob storage and Enterprise Manager on a vm.  We are aiming to change the Veeam license to include VRO with the idea of being able to stand up VMs in Azure in the event of the DC going down.  My questions are about the placement of the various components.  Do we need a second VBR server in Azure?  Should the Enterprise manager be shifted to Azure?  Would it be best to build the VRO server in Azure?  Also where does ONE fit into this?  We are talking to an MSP about getting this set up but wanted some advice from the expert community to put my mind at ease.  Thanks!

Hi everyone,This is my situation: i configured a backup job on Veeam 12 on rdx drives; i ve got 3 drives (4TB each) and the total size of vms backup is around 1,6 TB; drives are changed daily.My goal is to make an incremental backup, veeam perform each day a full backup tough. So the third day the drives is put in the rdx reader  veeam gives me error because the storage is full.In repository settings i marked the rotated drives options. If i set the retention policy to 2 days nothing changes (because veeam policy always keep at least 3 restore points i guess).I tried also reversed incremental with no result. Is there any chance to manage an incremental backup on rotated drives in my situation?The best option would be to have in each drives a full backup + x incremental file, at worst i may configure a pre-job script to manually prune one of the two full backup on the drive. David

Hello,I am trying to do a bare metal recovery of a physical windows server 2019.First, I have created a recovery media from the agent backup, then mounted that .iso on the Dell Idrac9 and tried to boot form virtual CD/DVD/ISO, but it’s getting stuck at the windows logo screen.I have also tried to boot from the same iso on a VM just to test. This time, it worked, the veeam console came up and  I got all the options for restoration. But on the physical server, it’s not working.Please let me know where I am going wrong. Trying to get K10 working with linkerd service mesh in a test cluster.Prior to deploying linkerd, k10 is working ok doing csi snapshots (Rook Ceph provider) and mysql logical backups (using the kanister example) with backups going to a minio cluster living in its own namespace.I have mesh enabled on the k10, minio and vaultwarden namespaces (testing using vaultwarden as I know it quite well and it uses a database). mysql logical backup is temporarily disabled. Since a few weeks, my backup of my Windows disk (that used to work seamlessly) fails with:Error: Shared memory connection was closed. Failed to upload disk. I have a customer who is using Veeam to migrate some VMs from one Vcenter environment to another.  He has set up two virtual proxies, one on the source Vcenter and a second on the Destination Vcenter.   Each Proxy VM has 24GB of RAM and 16 vCPU’s.   He has set Max concurrent tasks to 20 on both proxies and has a green check mark on that.   He set up a job with multiple VM’s with each VM having 2 disks.   The job is only processing a max of 4 VM’s at at time.   I am thinking it should be able to do at least 10 VM’s (10 x 2 disks = 20 concurrent tasks).   Do VM replication jobs use more concurrent tasks than a single task per disk?  

Being new to VEEAM, I might be troubleshooting problem that's trivial for VEEAM experts.On Veeam 12.2 and vCenter 8.0.3, my problem is ESXi hosts having multiple networks which causes Veeam's confusion. running a lab to test veeam v12.2 with storeonce VSAs. Hello,I was wondering if some of you have already try to play with immutable repository for backup job in Veeam for M365 v8.I want to try the governance mode but I not sure how to test it properly…I use a Wasabi bucket set with versioning and immuability. In Veeam I created my repository with the following parameters My backup worked properly Now I want to test the immutability. But I'm not sure to how to proceed.In wasabi console I tried to delete the bucket directly, I got the message: Okay, I decided to delete the Veeam folder and tadammm the folder has been deletedThe bucket should be empty so I relaunch my job, I though to have a new Full backup, but no. How can I back up our Proxmox Ve cluster environment to Cloud Connect Service Provider storage? With VMWARE and Hyper-V I can choose from the Cloud Connect repository that has been created, but when I create a backup job for Proxmox this is not available to me. Does anyone know why? Is there a solution?

Hi Guys, I wonder if I can get some help on this one. I have the Veeam One report showing VM Snapshots older than 3 days which is showing snapshots that have long been deleted. Does anyone know if there is a way to kick Veeam One into recognising that they have been deleted ?I’m thinking a SQL query to clear a table in the DB that has got stuck or something like that ?Any help greatly appreciated.ThanksPhil

Hi, I’m running Veeam B&R CE on my home server and plan to upgrade from Server 2022 to 2025 when that come out.  I would like to do a clean install of 2025 and was wondering if there’s a way to backup my install of Veeam so I can reinstall it on my upgrader Server 2025 (eg., the configurations, databases etc.  The backup repositories are on separate disks and so will be directly accessible). Thank you

Hello,I'm little bit confused about the differences from disaster recovery & export import in Kasten K10. Does disaster recovery use export import right?For export import, do we must use same location (repository) between source cluster and target cluster ? Thank you 

We want to restore a SQL Server database within a small window, so that there is minimal downtime for transferring usage from the old database to the new database. With our previous backup software (Backup Exec), we used to restore the full backup and leave the database in recovery mode, then restore the differential backup on top of that, still leaving the database in recovery mode, then restore the transaction logs up to just before the downtime period, still leaving the database in recovery mode, so that, once the downtime commenced, we would only have to restore a couple more transaction log backups to bring the database up-to-date with the source database.We are struggling to find a similar option in Veeam. Hi, all. I have question about how to perform large backups on a slow network. My current infrastructure is : headquarters and the IDC where the physical servers(119 TB) are located are more than 100km apart, connected by a 1Gbps network. (This network is for business, and I don't have any plans to set up a backup network yet.) Initially, I wanted to have the backup server and repository server at headquarters so that I don't mind if the initial full backup takes a long time, but if I need to recovery backups, it will take too long. (Single largest server is over 7TB). The second way I thought of is to install the backup server and repository server in IDC and make a backup copy to HQ.However, the backup copy is also downloaded at 1Gbps, so I think the business network will be disrupted on the day of copying the full backup data. How would be the best way to configure it in my situation?Will the 'WAN Accelerator' feature help?Also, does this work on a local network? I need your advice.

Good day team,I created a test job of an oracle linux server(database server), job appeared in the job listing, ran 2 job tests, both failed with errors:I had the wrong credentials first, so i thought that was the problem, I now found the correct credentials, managed to successfuly connect to my oracle linux server using correct credentials using a non standard ssh port. I was adding the server under backup infrastructure->mananged servers, entered correct ssh creds, reached the review page to install the Installer and Transport service( so clearly the linux login creds are correct). Concerns:My boss said to HALT on installing these 2 required services on this DB server as he does not want any services impact or catastrophe lol, he is new to veeam. For me lol, i am very cautious as well, i dont want to any overtime because of any unforseen issues Would the absence of these 2 services have caused the errors above, will backups work if these are installed? I’m experienced with Kubernetes but new to K10. I’m deploying it on my cluster via the K10 Helm chart. I’m running into a problem with the Ingress settings. I’m using cert-manager to provision a TLS cert via Let’s Encrypt, which I do regularly.
