Hello, I have backup copy job to copy the bcckup to Azure File share. The VBR main repository using SMB and connection speed is 1Gbps. Connection from VBR to Azure file share via VPN site to site with 100Mbps internet bandwidth.What can i see is my internet utilization is still low, only about 20-30Mbps used. Is there any trick how to utilize the connection?

In a SOBR (Scale-Out Backup Repository) if my performance tier is already a object storage (direct to object) is it possible to run a archive job to offload data to archive tier without a capacity tier? Or i would need first to offload to capacity then archive?

Hello,In my home lab, the backup repository, running on windows server 2022, using REFS, using V: drive letterVBR is running in a VM on that same server, also on V: drive letter.If that server died, then i have lost all my backups, .vbm|.vib|.vbkSure, I use backup copy jobs but those are stored off-site , but for the sake of this topic, I want to ignore that.If i had a disaster i would have to download the backup files or do an instant restore over slow internet.So I want/need to backup the OS, the c: drive.Can i use that VBR to do it or what do you suggest?Thanks much, David 

Regarding the SQL database export, using SQL staging server, it appears that the export was executed from the existing production instance rather than from the Veeam backup storage media. This suggests that a direct export from the Veeam backup storage is not possible, which is what I wanted to verify.As a result, Veeam management tools will be required to restore the SQL database and its transaction logs to a specific point in time using the Veeam backup storage media.Is my understanding correct?

The Veeam folder increased significantly in size overnight while backups were running, expanding by 60 GB and reaching 1 GB by morning. How can we determine what is consuming this space, and are there other methods to monitor this?Veeam ver 12.0.0.1420Please advise

Good day team, Trying to create a sub folder under the backup tree in container and i get this error. This blob storage is working Buexec, backups going to it etc. I also cannot move forward as i need a folder name to select.How can i resolve this?

We have a vSAN cluster where the vSAN network is physically separated on different network switches from the management and other VM networks. When configuring Veeam backup proxy for VM backups on vSAN, what interfaces or connectivity is required? What traffic flows over which interface? Is the below understanding correct or we need only one interface on the backup proxy connecting to the ESXi mgmt network? ESXi: vmnic0 - esxi mgmt  (connected to a pairA of network switches)vmnic1 - vsan (connected to pairB of network switches) NIC0 - connectivity to ESXi Mgmt (Connects to ESXi/vCenter for VM and esxi details, mouting the backup VM disk to the proxy VM)NIC1 - connectivity to the vSAN inetwork (data of the VM is fetched through this interface) Thanks,Sudhir

I had a problem with our host server in production and I had to activate the replicas on our second backup host, later I applied permanent Failover, after reestablishing the first host that had the problem, I created replica routines from the backup host server to the main one and I applied permanent Failover, finally, I recreated the replication routines from the main server to the backup server, however, it is no longer working, an error keeps appearing that I couldn't find on the community forum. Failed to process replication task Error: Failed to create planned VM configuration (path: 'D:\9ca0c3d4671a45888343cf0b4ef75605(20)\Virtual Machines\545b475e-2040-49fe-bffb-d9133f3739f4.vmcx'). We have a Dell Esxi host server that failed to come back online. In our contract Dell will try to make it work correctly or replace. Anyways, we have had a full chassis, except for harddrives, and new NIC cards installed. While it ran, for a few short days, my backups were failing with the message: Error: Unable to process the VM: your socket license has been exceeded. Install an extended license, or migrate protected VMs to the licensed hosts.  The backups work as expected when the faulty server is off but when it comes back the errors reappear. What do I need to do to get licensing straightened out again? All worked fabulously for years until about a month ago.Thanks

Hallo zusammen,einer meiner Kunden möchte auf einem Veeam-Server (Simple Deployment, Bare-Metal) genau wissen, auf welcher Ebene wann welche Änderung im Veeam durchgeführt wurde. Sprich zum Beispiel:Wann wurde die Funktion XY im Job XY von wem geändert? Hat da jemand Erfahrung mit? Welche Logs benötige ich bzw. wird das in der Detailtiefe überhaupt geloggt?Der zeitliche Faktor, wie lange die Analyse dauert, ist erstmal zweitrangig sobald ich weiß, wo ich suchen könnte. Steht sowas in den Logs drin, die man auch für den Support generiert? Danke vorab & viele Grüße aus NRW!Lukas

I know  veeam support will only knows which logs to review but for knowledge purpose can somone  please share the log files to investigate for each Veeam component like, backup job, replication, restore, surebackup, sobr, cloud backups, proxy server, repository, tape backup etc and if any tool to investigate logs 

I’m moving an artesca S3 bucket to another veeam host. The repo is part of a SOBR with a storeonce primary target. Rescan option cant be done directly on the repo but can on the SOBR…..however it seems to fail.  I’m concerned when moving to the new server, we wont see old backups. Thoughts??
