My query is, we have one Veeam backup server and added one backup repository as DAS of d drive of server, but now we want to configure these backup data replicate to another server as Linux server. can we possible and how?Please guide.

we have enterprise plus edition license and installed Pune location Veeam backup server and now we want to use same license file to Bangalore location?so can we use the same license file in bangalore location server ? we have 90 instance  license.Please suggest . 

HelloWe have a physical Huawei server (5288 v5) with Windows 2019 and Veeam installed. Since the announcement that the Veeam plugin is no longer supported, we have uninstalled the plugin and removed the storage in the Veeam admin center. Now we want to update to version 12, but there is an error message in the configuration checks. This is “unsupported Huawei Storage system”. We're supposed to remove something first, but I don't know what it should be. We have already tried to virtualize the server to another one, but the error persists. Curious as to why by default is the B&R console installed along with a new B&R server install in v12?Security best practices say to run the console on a separate stand alone computer, using a local credentials, and on a separate network or VLAN.This being the case one would think that there would be an option during the install process to include the console or not. I ask, because I am inherently lazy and would rather watch dog videos than go through the hassle of removing the console from the server. Also best practices should be easy to implement so all admins implement them.

Hi to everyoneI am trying to take a backup for two disks on a physical machine (a server) with windows server. I have the next warning I understand that Veeam Backup cannot access to the folders that have Oracle databases and I have two questions.Is the backup usefull in case that I need a recovery? I know that all data couldn’t be read inside the disk.Could I give the credentials (username/password) to access Oracle databases? at the moment where I installed the windows plugin over the server I accepted the option to install Oracle RMAN plugin. Thank you for your time and help

Hi, I have a protection group with 8 PC’s.  The PC’s are not always on and so sometimes they miss the backup schedule.  Is there a way to see the last successful backup of each PC without having to drill down on each one?  Thank you!

Dear Forum,it’s my pleasure join this group as a member.I’ve a question regarding installation of K10 in an Openshift enviromnent.The cluster is made of VM, with local storage, and also making use of a NFS share provided by a FreeNAS deployed in the same environment.Installation of the operator was smooth, grafic, from OCP console, before using a “local-storage” storage class (that, from K8s docs, didn’t allowed a dynamic claim) and then using the shared NFS, configuring the driver nfs-csi, and then also the relative VolumeSnapshotClasses.The issue occured when creating the operand: preflight check was successfully completed, PVC and relative PV also successful, but the pods below were in a “CrashLoopBackOff” state:catalog  job logging k10-grafana meteringJust the last one has logs. Actually, we are Veeam partner and one of the customers purchased the license of Veeam data platform23h2 license.so, may I know the confirm please, it is bundling software as include Veeam backup and replication, Veeam one, Veeam recovery orchestrator? 

Hello everyone,I'm new to this forum and using free Veeam agent on windows 10 and 11 to make a full backup to a synology DS224+ NAS. Both on latest firmware/version.But after the step finalizing the snapshot, I get the error message that veeam could not resolve the IP of the cifs share. But I can access the share via explorer and the veaam configuration files are safed to this share. So it's working.Did not find any threads for this problem.Appreciate your help and tipps!Best regards

Bonjour,Je viens d’installer et de découvrir Veeam Backup pour Office365, j’ai paramétré un JOB pour sauvegarder uniquement  l’organisation SHAREPOINT sur un disque dur Externe mais très souvent et voir tout le temps maintenant j’ai l’erreur “JetError -1022, JET_errDiskIO, Disk IO error” cette erreur est parlante mais j’ai déjà remplacé le disque a plusieurs reprise et il fonctionne très bien sur cette même machine avec un VEEAM AGENT. Avez vous une piste a me donner ?

I need to migrate 12 Windows Server 2016 from Hyper-V to vcenter, can I do this with Veeam just restore from the last Hyper-v backup to vcenter?

We are in the middle of migrating from Rubrik to Veeam. We have some Rubrik backup jobs that are called by our scheduling software, Tidal. The process is as follows:Tidal calls the pre processing backup job for our loan accounting system Tidal is informed of the successful backup, then it moves on to other jobs. These other jobs include all nightly cycle type items for any financial institutions like, sync’ing up general ledger with loan accounting, then with financial reporting systems, etc..  Basically this aligns all core financial systems for a “start of day” state and is a critical restore point for us. Finally, Tidal calls the post processing backups to create that restore point.  Tidal is made aware of that successful backup and our nightly cycle processes are marked as completed successfully.We’ve been working with our Veeam account rep but we haven’t yet found a way to replicate this process with Veeam. ciao a tutti, nel mio LAB ho aggiunto nell’inventario in Unstructured Data un File Server che poi è un semplice windows 2022.Il rescan dei volumi fallisce e da un warning (anche se poi i backup funzionano) in cui suggerisce di andare a vedere un log che si chiama appuntoConsole_nomedelvbrserver_utenteche però non trovo proprio.Ho trovato qualcosa che lo ricorda in C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup\Satellites\tintowin2022\TINTOWIN2022_Administratorove sta un file Satellite_Console.lognel quale però non trovo nulla. Se rifaccio lo scan non si aggiunge nulla.Qualcuno ha idea di dove possa essere e/o come mai mi succede che fallisce?Grazieeeeeeeeeeee

Hi All, Anyone faced this issue or any fixes to resolve this. vCenter shows disk consolidation requested by Veeam but also displays percentage of completion. What's a good plan to be able to restart the Windows DB VM? See screenshots below.From what I know, it is not a good idea to reboot while consolidation is going on. However, this has been going on for at least 2 days and the DB residing on the server is performing poorly. I have requested the DB folks to try to restart the DB instead of the server but in the event that this would be the only option that is left to do, what is a good way to go about doing a VM reboot. I have disabled the job in Veeam and has cancelled another Veeam request to vCenter to run another consolidation (thoe one showing 0%). 

Buongiorno, ho cercato nel gruppo ma non ho trovato al risposta.Vado ad esporre il mio problema.Ho alcuni Job di Backup di VM di vSphere a cui ho impostato una certa “Retention Policy” in giorni, prendendone uno, per esempio “25 days”  con impostato un “Remove deleted items data after” in 7 days  … però se vado nel repository vedo che i file che hanno più di 32 gg non vengono cancellati!  Ora il quesito è:- c’è un comando/procedura per forza la cancellazione dei file che eccedono la policy??? Grazie.

good day, I’m working with some people in implementing K10 on OSCP clusters.They have and use DataDomain as backup storage: with Veeam we naturally use DDboost, and we are trying to use it for K10 exports too.We created the PVC and configured as Location in K10, the validation succeeded, but it does not work, it seems the pod cannot mount the nfs export and the export operation timeouts.We have found this errorI tried opening the export to all the internal IPs, but it did not solve the issue.It seems a network issue anyway … has anyone experience on this task?
