We backup an O365 organization with Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 7.1.0.1501. Everything went well, but tonight the backup of all mailboxes failed with error message: "Processing mailbox failed with error: Failed to get folder properties. Not allowed to access Non IPM folder." Also the backup of all teams failed with error message: "Failed to process team. Failed to get folder properties. Not allowed to access Non IPM folder." The backup of OneDrive and SharePoint worked properly. Any idea?

we got Volume Snapshots are not supported for this storage when try backup vault in Openshift 4.14 using Kasten k10 operator. Just wonder: how to enable injectKanisterSidecar in k10 operator?

Hello Again 😖We’re on Veeam 11.0.1.1261 P20220302. Only using the Backup and Replication portion. No VeeamOne etc.. Am curious if there’s a way to get a summary of what type of compression/deduplication ratios we’re seeing besides what’s on the email generated on job completion.I assume each job is going to be different. You’ll probably get better ratios on full backups than incremental.Do I need VeeamONE here to do this? 

I need some help.  I am trying to automate my Employee Offboarding using ansible by creating a backup job that will do a final backup of the user’s mailbox, archive, teams, teams chat and personal site.  Then restore it to an offsite File Share for long term storage.  I’m using the REST API and I can query my Veeam server for Org ID, Repository ID, etc.  However, I can not create a job.  I think it is because I can list the user ID in the task.  Is the User ID based off of the Azure ID?  Would I need a separate task that queries my O365 Instance and retrieves that?

Hi, I am trying to backup the Windows PC’s on my LAN using Agent backup and am having the same issue as the person on this post: https://forums.veeam.com/servers-workstations-f49/creating-new-backup-in-protection-group-issue-t79935.html I have read the issue several times and I don’t think I understand the terminology being used. And I have successfully installed Agent on my Windows machine and executed the command to connect to B&R.  I also see the machine on B&R. Ideally, I would like to schedule backup jobs for this machine and also be able to run adhoc backups using the B&R console.Is this possible? Thank you, Hammer

Backup Job Chains… If I keep seven (7) restore points and run an Active Full on Saturday (point #7) what happens to the six (6) files in the prior backup chain? Are they useless but don’t get deleted because we’re keeping seven (7) restore points?  Backup Copy Jobs are different if not mistaken. If you keep seven (7) restore points and the seventh is a periodic full, the six prior restore points are deleted all at once?

I didn´t find this information in the documentation.The service´s docs state that backup data created by Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 or Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft Azure can be targeted to and reside in any Azure region as end users request. Metadata is encrypted and stored in one of the following Azure regions: United States West. Hello everyone,VSPC allows us to be alerted when a computer has not been backed up for a specific number of days.However, when a device has multiple jobs configured, what if one of those jobs has not been running for some time but other jobs completed? An example scenario is this:Job 1: when a backup target is connectedJob 2: daily at midnight What if job 1 never gets executed as the target is never connected but job 2 does?Is there a way I could be alerted? Thank you in advance.Daniele Capuano

I’m not sure if this is an existing issue or new, however, when doing a Quick Migration in VBR 12.1, I see no processing rate of the job when completed.  In VBR 11, we would get a XYZ MB/s or GB/s in that “area”. Any ideas? Can this be found in logs? Some DB table (how to connect to DB if so)?

I have a pretty simple request that I just can’t seem to identify the correct command for.I’m just looking to be able to query what job a system is a member of. It’s very easy to do for any virtual systems, but harder for physical. Connecting and getting the job are easy. And the $Job.BackupObject property contains the Physical Infrastructure object I’m interested in, but not the actual members of the Physical Infrastructure box.The script:The Physical Infrastructure Object:The contents I’m really trying to get:

Can you use and test with SureBackup if you are only using a Linux Hardened Repository?

Hello everyone, This morning during my VMware VM backup job, I encountered the following error:Error: Cannot proceed with the job: existing backup meta file 'Prio 0.vbm' on repository 'ds_veeam_sanctl03' is not synchronized with the DB. To resolve this, run repository rescan As explained in the message, I initiated a rescan of the datastore on my NAS. The scan failed with this error:11/01/2024 09:10:58 Warning    Failed to import backup path nfs3://xxxxx:/|volume1|ds_veeam|Prio 0|Prio 0.vbm Details: '.', valeur hexadécimale 0x00, est un caractère non valide. Hey everyone,We've encountered an issue with our immutable backup setup. We've configured our Ubuntu server to shut down after completing the backup, turning it on before initiating the backup process. As a result, the server shuts down at 1 AM every day after finishing its backup routine.However, once a week, we receive the following error message. I've been able to resolve it by deleting the file, but it keeps reappearing. Is there a way we can extend the immutability time to avoid this issue recurring?  A problem occurred during setting the immutable flag: repository time shift detected, immutability flag cannot be set. Hi,I am trying to create a SureBackup job using replicas rather than run from the backups (For performance reasons) but when I go to add a VM from replicas there are no objects in the Select Replica screen.the replica is stored on a standalone Hyper-V host with large DASI’ve created replicas from live VM’s and current backups and although they exist in the replicas folder, there is nothing appearing in the Select Replica screen in the SureBackup application group settings.I’m running VEEAM 12.1.1.56 Any ideas, it’s driving me nuts ThanksRhys 

I have to set up a structure like 7 daily, 4 weekly, 12 monthly and 5 yearly backups for my workplace, but am somewhat restricted in budget and storage space per device, so I have two NAS as backup repository, but each one allone is to small to save all the backups.Now I am looking for a way to spread the backups over both NAS, e.g. save daily and monthly to NAS A, weekly and yearly to the NAS B. I’ve been testing syslog with v12.1 and I cant seem to see messages related to an unsuccessful login to the VBR console. We see messages for logins and logouts but not unsuccessful.I’ve also configured Veeam ONE syslog and this seems to show all logins but not VBR.I have even tested this with the Veeam lab “test drive 12.1” at https://propartner.veeam.com/hands-on-labs/ has anyone else tested this at all or had experience of it? We need to get unsuccessful logins somehow…. thanks

This is a very interesting warning. I migrated lots of VBR servers, and it’s the first time I've run into this warning.The detailed warning message is below:Warning Failed to connect to Red Hat Virtualization plug-in: Failed to login to platform service: The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure.It happened after I migrated from the VBR server with SQL Express to the new VBR server with PostgreSQL.All Hosts and repositories are pure Hyper-V environments. There are no Linux servers or repositories.It’s easy to fix this issue. I rebooted the VBR server and ran the backup configuration again. The warning message is gone. Does anyone have the same experience?
