How to be notified about new content at Community Hub?

Hey Community, I received a few messages from community members asking how to get notifications when there is a new content published (in this case we talked about “Blogs and Podcasts” category). I thought I would do a quick post about it. First, there is a possibility to subscribe to every category at Community Hub Let’s say, you would like to subscribe to “Blogs and Podcasts” category. To do so, you have to push ‘SUBSCRIBE’ button at the right side as shown at the screenshot below: Once it’s done - you will start receiving notifications about new topics created! Again, you can get subscribed to any category: whether it’s Discussion boards or News. You can also manage notification settings at your profile. If you experience any issues with notifications - please let me know!

What is the Kubernetes Korner and what should it become?

The Korner is a place where you can start your Kubernetes Journey. Veeam understood correctly that a huge group of IT specialists will need to get familiar with Kubernetes at an accelerate time frame because the demand for specialists will grow exponentially. "CBT driver installation completed with error: The file exists"

Products: Veeam B&R Community Edition 12.3.1.1139 (Windows Server 2022) Windows Agent 6.3.1.1074 (Windows 11 Pro for Workstations, version 24H2) Using B&R Console I accidentally uninstalled CBT Driver from the Windows 11 PC, and now I cannot reinstall it anymore.The CBT driver is also missing from installed Windows apps and program list in the legacy Control panel.I tried to uninstall completely all components on that client, I removed it from my B&R Protection group, restarted it many times, but no avail.I also tried to install the standalone Agent, but the CBT driver install/uninstall option is missing from settings.Even command line method fails: Veeam.Agent.Configurator.exe -uninstallCBTDriver ExitCode: 0 Veeam.Agent.Configurator.exe -installCBTDriver ExitCode: 20 Errors: Failed to perform the operation. File exists The only way I haven't tried yet is with command line by booting the PC from Veeam Recovery Media. In attachment: log file. Any ideas on how to solve?BTW, I’m wondering

Veeam bootable media cannot connect to backup server

Does the Veeam Media Creation tool depend on the host OS when creating the bootable ISO or does the Veeam Media Creation tool contain everything it needs? None of the ISO’s that are created on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 24H2 PC’s can connect to the Veeam backup server to perform a Bare Metal Recovery but they can ping the server’s name and IP when using Tools → Command Prompt . I posted detailed info, with the errors, here: https://forums.veeam.com/veeam-agent-for-windows-f33/recovery-media-does-not-work-v6-3-t97990.html I’m wondering if the IoT edition of Windows (or maybe version 24H2 in general) doesn’t come with something, that other Windows editions/versions do come with, that’s required during the media creation process. Has anyone else ran into this issue or know how to troubleshoot to find out specifically why the connection to the B&R server is not being made? SQL CIFS database location

Using 12.3 Is there a way to restore a DB to a CIFS share? I have a MS SQL VM that points to a CIFS share location on our NetApp SAN. When I try and do a restore I cannot specify the Database files target location to anything other that a drive the server sees as local, meaning not a cifs share, or a network mapped drive.

I do restore VM to Azure local, the VM is showing in the azure local node and on the azure cluster. But anyone know why the VM is not visible in the azure portal?

Baremetal restore problem

I have a problem with a baremetal restore with veaam freeware. Destination is a M2 hard disk. After complete restore and a reboot.. blue screen with this message: “Your device ran into a problem and needs to restart.Wie will restart for you. Stop code: INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE. I have done a fresh installation of windows 11 (and kubuntu) without any problem so i think that my new M2 do not have hardware problem. A restore on a sata drive it’s OK (no problem) The dimension of the original drive and M2 is the same (256 giga). So how can i restore my drive? It is possible? Thank you….

Hello Team, I have recently upgraded Veeam Enterprise Manager to 12.1.1.56, upgrade is successfully however now am unable to open Veeam EA or Veeam self service restore browser. tried clearing cookies, rebooted Veeam EA however issue still persists.

Veeam for SalesForce - License consumption

Hello folks! I was jumping across the licensing page from Veeam for Salesforce: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup_salesforce/userguide/licensing.html?ver=30 And in the section where it mentions all the users that do not need the License it does not mention: “Customer Community Login” The question here is, do we need to license them? This comes into my mind as the Partner Community, Customer Community and Customer Community Plus are not required. Thanks in advance!

Manually unmount NFS datastore

Hello everyone! I performed an Instant Restore, but most of the time, I need to manually unmount the NFS datastore. However, sometimes Veeam does not automatically remove these datastores after the jobs have finished running, so I have to remove them manually. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
