Veeam Backup & Replication

V13 - The environment described in this architecture is one main datacenter with 5000 VMs and 100 physical servers with 200 GB of used storage.  The VMs are hosted on the Microsoft Hyper-V Hypervisor . The Veeam components are hosted on the Veeam Software Appliance and Veeam Infrastructure Appliance. The backup uses the on-host data mover backup method. All backups target a local Veeam Hardened Repository Appliance and copied to the Veeam Data Cloud (VDC) Vault.

The environment described in this architecture consists of one primary data center with VMs deployed on the vSphere hypervisor.  The VMs residing on vSphere will be migrated to Hyper-V (or MS Azure Local) using Veeam Backup & Replication Instant VM Recovery  (IVMR) function.  All Veeam components will be deployed on the Veeam Software Appliance and the Veeam Infrastructure Appliance.  Veeam Backup and Replication will be used to protect the VMs on Hyper-V after they are migrated.More information can be found

The first phase of the VeeamDesign Methodology is the Discovery phase. This phase is devoted to collecting relevant information for later phases.
