I’m using Veeam Backup for Office 365.Our data needs to be retained forever.My problem is that we have limited fast storage options (NAS that can read/write at high speeds). We have virtually unlimited slower storage options.I am currently using the fast storage for the repository. It is filling up fast, and in less than a year it will be full.I don’t need 10 years of emails and such to be quickly restored. I would like to move anything over 6 months old to a repository on a different, slower NAS.I’m trying to understand offloading to object storage repositories, but not sure this is the correct solution. Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

Good afternoon,I am with V10 version With Enterprise manager I try to hide jobs and vm depending on user.ExampleUser1 : could see Job1 and vm Vm1 and vm 2User2: could see Job2 and vm Vm3  We have two roles : Portal administrator and portal user. With the role portal user, I filtered the vm for each user. It works fine the User1 sees vm1 and vm2 and User2 sees VM3.But the two users see job1 and job2. My question is how do we filter the jobs by users as we can do with vm? Regards

We have need to provide a Full backup report to our finance department for compliance. We are Backing up Physical, VMs and NAS storage. I have not yet found a report that works for us to get this info. I am curious, what do you use for a compliance report or full backup report for your environment.

I installed Veeam agent for Microsoft Windows on Hp Pavillion g6 Laptop of Core i5, 1 terabyte, 12 gig ram which runs on windows 10 enterprise, version 10.0.19043 with system type of x64-based pc, It was successful upon installation and a full successful backup.When i tried to reinstall the entire system using Veeam recovery media which I created, prior to when I started the installation, I encountered an error which says“OS disk in backup uses MBR disk. This may cause boot issues on UEFI systems”,which I resolved using https://www.veeam.com/kb3156 which actually solved the problem of “OS disk in backup uses MBR disk. This may cause boot issues on UEFI systems” after restarting my pc, everything happens to be fine until I turned my PC off,Upon turning my PC on again, I saw an error saying“Choose an operating system”, Meaning that I now have two (WINDOWS 10 ENTERPRISE on volume 4)What could have caused it?How do I resolve this issue?Thanks.

Please include NAS backup jobs in the Latest Job status Report. In general more reporting for the NAS jobs would be beneficial. We have compliancy requirement to provide a report of our Full backups completion to our finance department. This has been Surprisingly Difficult to complete with Veeam One.

When user who is using Veeam V10 VUL instance license, their current instance use NAS Share 250GB per instance, so my question is when they upgrade their Veeam Backup to V11, will their license reflect to use NAS Share 500GB per instance?

Dear All, we have following data protection requirement, so looking forward for your guidance for creating a Backup & retention policy. File Server - at present we have 5TB files & folders currently backing up using Veeam. The requirement is that we need a 36 months of retention period of data and the backup job should run every 1 hour. The objective is to restore any file or folder with in the period of 3 years. Hi,we do backups from our on premise VMs and some physical servers (agentbased). Backups are going to be offloaded to S3 and Glacier useing capacity and archive tier. Anything is working fine.In case of desaster, we plan to recover the backups on aws as ec2 in a vpc. We could also use vmc on aws. But because of our host limit of 2 nodes, this will not be practicable. Is there a way of automatic recovery tests, veeam orchestrator for example, to aws? Or is there even a better option? Ideal would be a daylie updated ec2 environment. Fallback would be, do backup from ec2 and recover as vm. If this would be possible.
