good day, we have 2 pairs (main and dr site) of OpenShift 4 clustes. K10 (5.5) is installed everywhere. In the dr sites we have import policies running on a daily base. Everyday I find lots of the import policies in “failed” state with error “Empty receive string in policy parameters. params: [object Object]”.In the corresponding backup and export policies on the main sites, I don’t see the “Show import details” button. I click on “revalidate”, button appears, I get the string, which I copy in the import policies. They become green.But the day after it happens again. How can I troubleshoot and avoid that? Thanks!
If someone has been doing image based backups of 100+ workstations in Acronis, but is interested in moving to a VBR environment, how do we accommodate that scale of workstation backups? The only thing I know to do is throw the Windows agent on them and create an agent backup within VBR, but I am curious if there is a better solution.
I migrated an old PVC to a new PVC on different storage medium. I want to remove all K10 snapshots of the old PVC so I can remove it, but otherwise leave the K10 restore points for the application intact since there are a number of other still valid PVCs in the namespace to retain backups for. What’s the best way to do that?

Hi all, had an internal report of having a challenge with taking a backup chain encrypted with 12.1 and being able to import those backups into a v12 VBR. Has anybody else tried this?I know that 12.1 is considered a non-breaking release and backups definitely work when you take 12.1 to 12.0 VCC servers, but not being able to import could be an issue, albeit one that can be worked around with extract.exe.

Reading the guide from “Top to bottom” :-) under Requirements and Limitations for File Shares i see"To support the VSS for SMB File Shares feature, make sure that requirements listed in this Veeam KB article 3099 are met."Link at the kb https://www.veeam.com/kb3099Under Requirements of that Kb it says "The Veeam Backup Server and the Windows File Server hosting the SMB Share must be joined to the same Active Directory domain."? Hello everyone.I have the following query, in version 12 I see that there is the possibility of adding a proxy in the "General-purpose backup proxy" option, according to the following in the description "(...) and off-host backups of physical server" I would understand that it is possible for a physical server with veeam agent to add a proxy backup.Why the question? I have a Windows Server 2019 server that serves as a file server and when I run the job, either incremental or full, it slows down access to shared files and users complain. That being said, this proxy would help me mitigate or reduce the impact or what good practice do you recommend?The repository is an smb folder inside a Qnap NAS.

Hi, I'm a bit confused with the documentation for setting up MS SQL backups for an always on availability group.Our set-up - veeam 11 (can't upgrade yet)4 dbs, 2 per site in an always on availability group, with windows clustering on top.Veeam is in a management domain, which connects to VMware hosts to backup vms from the user domains.How do I go about setting this up? Is it even possible in this set up?Any assistance appreciated!

So i am checking over our security protocols for all out clients,. we are currently using the domain admin for alot of things to which means when i want to reset the domain admin password we have to update everythign (Veeam, SQL databases etc) I just wanted to confirm a few things before i start change things, I am using the latest version of B&R,. these connect to a host machine,. to which backs up VMS with guest application enabled.so for B&R to connect to the host,. this can domain user account that has local admin privileges to the host machine to be able to read the VM files? additionally,. the guest application processing,. this again can be a domain user account that has local admin priviliages on the local machine,. and that both do not require domain admin priviliges?
We have contracted with a cloud backup service for Veeam Backup with bucket. Hi.I have enabled Multi-Cluster and connected a secondary cluster to it.But there is a problem when the secondary check the license. It complains about the primary having a certificate signed by an unknown authority. Is there a way to disable the check? Regards,-Ulf

Bonjour, Voici un petit problème que j’ai découvert, lorsque les bases SQL ne sont pas “Healthy”, Veeam les exclues sans avertissement. Pourrait-on avoir ces messages en warning plutôt qu’en information ? Ces messages sont très importants car ils informent d’un malfonctionnement, les bases SQL ne seront pas sauvegardées. Lorsque je regarde les status des jobs le matin, je voudrais que cette information soit mise en avant. PS : y a-t-il un autre canal pour les feature requests ?
