Hi everyone,recenly i’m doing some test on the veeam backup&replication community edition on my Dell R710 which is running server 2019 standard. And at the first time, i can add a hyper-v server which is running server2019 (standalone) to the backup job, but once i deleted the job, i cannot add any hyper-v again.It always shows :Failed to connect to host 10.178.3.41Access denied or timeout expired. (sometimes is invalid namespace)Check if you have local administrator privileges on computer '10.178.3.41'.Possible reasons:1. Invalid credentials.2. Consistently getting “VSS: Backup job failed. Cannot notify writers about the ‘BACKUP FINISH’ event. A VSS critical writer has failed. Writer name: [Microsoft Exchange Writer]. Following the error above, when Processing finishes it is listed as a “Warning”“Did the job “Fail” or is this just a Warning? The restore point was created at 10/4, but the VIB file was remove from the disk already, on the resotre point portal, it still show normal status for this resotre point, so i cannot remove it. Also try to rescan bakcup repo, it say below:added 0 unencrypted, added 0 encrypted, updated 0, removed 0, skipped 1, failed 0

I learned a lot during the last few weeks about Veeam and I am kind of exited about this software. I resolved almost all problems, but there is still one issue I cant get a grip on. Ich have several backup jobs in a chain. No parallel Jobs. I have a lightning fast proxy (Veeam suggests a maximum of 24 parallel jobs).My persisting promlem is, that jobs get stuck absolutly randomly. Sure, after hours the stuck job fails, goes into retry1 and finishes successfull. But thats not satisfying… Is there anything I missed about jobs getting stuck? Just for your information: Jobs launch and run. They get stuck somewhere after 20%, 50% or 90%. So abolutly random… I recognized that the “veeam backup service” gets completly frozen. This service cant be stopped by anything else than a server restart.
Hi,After upgrading too v12, several of our customers get a warning about the Kasten K10 plugin (which has never been installed AFAIK). I received an error message at the end of the upgrade (not blocking) and now we get warnings like :07-03-23 04:00:56 Warning Failed to connect to Kasten K10 plug-in: External platform service 21c55b86-a09c-454b-a751-07b26c4787c4 is not registered. Hi, I had an unexpected network error on my windows server 2012R2 and Veeam Agent for Windows ver. 5.0.3I have setted “keep backups for 35 days” and I have on my nas 2 Tb free out of 3 Tb total. Now, I have 34 backups and when i run a backup, after about a minute, I get “processing finished with errors” and “error: unexpected network error. Failed to read data from the file”. I tried to free up some space, to stop and start Veeam agent service, to restart nas, to modify the number of backups (trying 30 and 40) but every time i got the same error. what else can i do?
Hi All, it’s my first post here.I’m evaluating Veeam in my lab. I find backups are at a fast 93MB/s, but restores are slow at 3MB/s.-ESXi 7.0 Update 3 host running on a i7 system with 64GB, SSD and HD storage and a 1G NIC-VBR 12.0.0.1420 running on an i5 system with 16GB, with two 1G NICs, NIC1 connects to the lab network with the ESXi server, NIC2 connects to the main network and NAS storage where the backups are stored-NAS is capable of sustained 112MBs read and write speeds-when I do a backup of any of the VMs, it runs at about 91MB/s-when I do a restore of those VMs, including the ones stored on the SSD, restore speed is 3MB/s-overnight I restored 3 VMs, 2 are under 100GB and finished, the third restore is about 1.6TB and completed only 9% in 7 hours, at that rate it will take 77.7 hours, the backup of that VM took 4 hours-if I use Instant Recovery performance is reasonable, for example with a Windows Server VM, I can copy files from the windows server to a client computer at the

I’m migrating my Veeam install to new brand new VM. The original Veeam server is Windows 2019 running Veeam B & R & Veeam ONE. The original install was v11 that was upgraded to v12, currently using MSSQL.The new instance Windows 2022 running a fresh install of only Veeam B & R using Postgres.I’m going through the steps in the Veeam B&R Configuration Restore Wizard when I run into the this error:SSPI authentication failed for user “HOSTNAME\Administrator” I’m using Windows authentication for the Postgres credentials. Veeam agent based backup is failing, SQL Appaware is not enabled, but backup is failing due to SQLServer writer in non-retryable error. Has anyone came accross this? Hello, we are monitoring the customer backups via PRTG.Till now, we had a SQL Skript, wich got the latest result and reported it to PRTG:SELECT latest_result FROM bjobs WHERE name = @prtg;That worked fine with MSSQL Express, but now with PostgreSQL we have to use a PostgreSQL Sensor in PRTG. Thats no problem, but it always failes with: “GSS/SSPI authentication but IntegratedSecurity not enabled” when I try to use the postgres user, or with: 28000: SSPI-Authentication for user Administrator failed”. For debugging I tried to change the access settings in the pg_hba.conf file but nothing seems to work.Is there a way I can still run queries to the config database? Or do I have to go via the PowerShell Snappin from Veeam?PS: We don’t use the Enterprise Manager, because you need the Enterprise Plus license for that and our customers don’t have that license. With the recent VMWare licensing consolidation and Broadcom moving to a subscription/core model, it has caused many SMBs to explore new options for a hypervisor. (such a shame.. pouring one out for my years of VMWare experience.) XCP-NG and ProxMox keep coming up in various communities. I personally have tested both and they perform really well. My only issue with them is that currently there is no native Veeam integration for the two platforms. Are there any plans for Veeam to support XCP-NG and/or ProxMox?

I have been going through Google the last few days trying to find an answer to my issue, but so far I have not found the answer that works. I am getting this error message when I try to run a backup on my one and only community edition that we do not pay for support for. Failed to perform backup file verification Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check).Asynchronous request operation has failed. [readsize = 524288] [offset = 4763648]Agent failed to process method {Signature.FullRecheckBackup}.This is backing up a Cantos SMB server and Every post I have seen says to check for bad sectors, but the checks come back as “OK”. How else can I check for corrupt data? what other options do I have to try to remedy this? Any tips on where to look next are greatly appreciated.
This issue is with a media server in my home setup, so it’s a community edition license of VBR. I have created tickets with support 3 times, but the tickets are closed after a few days. They are just too busy with paying/enterprise customers (I totally understand that).I have googled endlessly and found ONE thread on Veeam R&D Forum that someone briefly addressed (with suggestions that don’t resolve the issue in my case) before the whole discussion became about a user mismatch in his support contract. There was no actual resolution in the thread.Any google result that even slightly angles toward my problem has no resolution or circles back to AV/firewall issues (as the sole contributor to the R&D thread did). I have tried disabling the firewall (no joy) and shut down the Vipre agent from the console (no surprise that didn’t help, because there are several other machines using the same Vipre agent/policy).I thought that maybe I had exceeded my licensed workloads, but another
