Wich is the bether implementation

Hi everyone,In this scenario, I have two EC2 instances on Amazon Web Services and a Microsoft 365 tenant. I need to back up both using Veeam.How can I do this with low resource usage?I believe the EC2 costs for Veeam for Microsoft 365 are high (8 vCPUs and 16 GB RAM with Windows Server). So, if I use Veeam for Microsoft 365 on-premises (as the backup server) and use a data mover (backup proxy) on AWS, will I save costs?Thanks for your help!

not receiving NFR key

I have tried requesting an NFR key for a few days now and it never shows up in my email. It has worked every other time I have requested one in the past. I tried opening a case but they said I had to contact sales. So I contacted sales but haven't heard from anyone. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction? Thanks

Failed backup PGO postgres cluster

Hello, for our applications we use PGO postgres cluster. In case that kubernetes cluster contain more than 1 postgres cluster is not possible create backup. PGO cluster are in difference namespaces. Backup process is failed with this error."pgoDBStatefulSet" not found When i keep same policy configuration and remove one postgres cluster backup will successfully done.Could you please check what is wrong.Thanks

Warning message

Running Linux Mint Mate 20.3.  Successful weekly backups for several years.  Today forgot to connect b/u medium when starting veeam, got “warning” message in the “success” column.  Tried exiting and restarting backup with medium connected, got another warning message. Not sure what to do next.

SOBR move from immutable backup appliance

hi all….I am puzzled if I create a SOBR:performance tier = backup appliance, immutable for 14 days capacity tier = Azure BlobCan data move to the capacity tier within 14days?Can I set policy to move them monthly so that the backed data is no longer immutable?Or I have to use SOBR copy function?If only SOBR copy, it does not release storage space from the backup appliance, what’s the different if I use BCJ to Azure Blob?

I’m really happy to share with the Veeam Community this Open Source Project Called Veeam Decoys.  It is public knowledge that multiple threat actors use various tactics and techniques to identify services when they are already inside the internal networks of the organization they are attacking. In fact, the Mitre ATT&CK Enterprise matrix has two complete tactics, "Discovery" TA0007 and "Lateral Movement" TA0008, which list and explain multiple techniques and tools used by attackers. For example, the most sought-after services within the internal network are Remote Desktop Protocol and SSH. veeaem - backs up for two weeks and then backups error / after reboot everything works

Hello,I am experiencing an issue with my backup system. Backups run normally for about 3-4 days, but then an error occurs, and the backup stops. After restarting the system, everything works fine, but the issue repeats after a few days. All system and software updates have been completed, but the problem persists.The error message displayed is: Job has failed unexpectedly Error: Managed session be2c40b2-5ce6-40ee-bf83-f8c4dbd74b82 has failed. JobId: 7718e3f2-a680-40be-8f4f-68179fda8The NAS and the location are functioning properly, and there are no network disruptions. Backups were running smoothly at first, but after the mentioned period, the error starts appearing.I have attached screenshots of the error for your reference.I would greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions on how to resolve this issue.Thank you for your help.

Hallo zusammen,ich benutze den Veeam Agent for Windows Free Ich möchte gerne ein Datei aus einem alten Veeam Backup, welches auf einer USB-Festplatte liegt, wiederherstellen Leider meldet das File Level Restore Programm folgende Fehlermeldung “Veeam Agent for Windows is unable to open backup files create create by Veeam Backup & Replication.Das Backup wurde 2019 mit einer alten Veeam Agent for Windows Free Version erstellt. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit an die Sicherung heranzukommen?Herzlichen Dank Ihre Hilfe.  Gruß Jesja4512

Hoy he realizado la actualización de mi VBR 12 a la ultima version, V12.2Os comparto los pantallazos y comentarios.He de decir que cada vez el proceso de actualización es más limpio y sencillo:Primero que todo, descargamos la ISO de la última version de la web.Una vez la tenemos, comienza la actualizaciónHasta aquí, todo bien, pero, como veis, me pide reiniciar, dado que ese componente C++ estaba sin actualizar, así que nada, reiniciar el VBR y volver a empezar con el upgrade, y ahora, continúa sin problemas…temas de lab, no tenemos siempre todos los recursos que quisiéramos….(el repo S3 OOTBI lo tengo apagado, ya que es un Appliance Físico, y hago pruebas y lo apago)Listo! How to change the default MachineAccountQuota to Zero

The MachineAccountQuota is an AD attribute that helps control the number of devices a non-administrative often referred to as a standard user can add to the domain. ​@dips also did a great job enlightening us about the security implication, and how we can monitor and mitigate it.
