Hi all,I am having my blueprint for backuping elasticsearch database.Blueprint looks quite the same as the original one, but with just hardcoded values for username and password.But, unfortunately, I am getting this errorLook at the first line of the snapshotAs you can see, my {{ toJson .Profile }} is not even rendered correctly, so I am getting value of ‘null’ for that.Not sure why that is happening. My elasticsearch statefulset, which I am trying to backup, is running inside ‘elastic-kasten-test’ project on OpenShift. And my kasten pod are running inside ‘kasten-io’ project. Strange thing is that I cannot see profiles from elastic-kasten-test project, but I can see them from kasten-io project.Cannot see profiles in elastic-kasten-test projectProfiles seen in kasten-io projectAlso, here is my profile on Kasten UI. Can someone please help with this?Thank you all in advance!

We have Kasten K10 on installed via operator on multiple clusters. All of the K10 instances seem to have excessive amounts of helm revision when viewed with helm history k10 Is this normal behavior? We seem to be getting ~200 revisions per hour.

Actually, we are using tape infrastructure and want to take file level backup to tape. we tried to create file to tape job, but no luck. we reflected only Veeam server in source option. why does not show virtual infra in source tab or any other system/ server?  No need backup of Veeam serverHow to take virtual infra file level backup on tape?Please suggest

Hello, is it supported to have Hyper-v VM with bitlocker enabled inside the guest for encrypting the data disk ? 

This is going to be my first time setting up Veeam ONE (Enterprise Manager?). Where is some good documentation on the product as far as functionality goes. Also, what are some, if any, best practices for setting it up? Should I run it in directly on the VBR server or spin up it’s own VM? Anything will help at this point.  Thanks in advance!

Hi,i have a customer where he has application “redis” who is controlled by redis-controller, the redis namespace have 3 deployments, and the csi driver does not support the volume snapshot so we go with generic backup.only one of the deployments get injected by kanister sidecar, and the remaining two did not, after troubleshooting we saw that the 2 deployments didnt accept the annotation:”k10.kasten.io/forcegenericbackup”, and it will be removed automatically after a few seconds.is there any possible way to inject kanister inside these deployments without adding this annotation?

I am trying to upgrade 11a (11.0.1.1261_22020302) to V12.1 via iso and when it gets to step 3 (Upgrading Veeam Explorers) a popup says that it can't find VeeamExplorerForSQL.msi_explorers.  Error: The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.It is looking for that file in this location (which does not exist):C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Setup\Temp\80ca74a8-4c01-451b-b8df-3d76e7abf376\FixFiles\I can't find it anywhere on the machine.  I did find an old log file that references that file that references version 9.5.  I found that file inside an old 9.5 update.  I extracted it and put it in the location asked for, but it still does not like it.

Dadurch kann ich entweder die Cloud Connect Lizenz oder die B&R Lizenz einspielen und mir werden dadurch die Funktionen gesperrt. Danke

This is probably a relatively complicated one, but also not a critical issue for us as there’s sufficient workarounds. We have a number of systems in our environment that we use the Veeam Agent for Windows to back up. We are primarily on Nutanix AHV for our virtualization. The backups seem to work just fine. When doing some recent restore testing, we noticed something. The goal of the restore testing was to test restoring these agent backups to our Nutanix AHV cluster. When using “Restore entire VM to Nutanix AHV...” option, during the wizard when I get to the storage container page, it shows the computer, but with no disks. What I then found was that this “no disk” symptom also occurs if I use the “Instant Recovery to Nutanix AHV”, but it actually gives an error message of “The following machines have no disks, us

Hi Everyone,I am wondering if there is a license for Veeam ONE only (not VUL for Data Platform Advanced) as this license can be used to monitor the Virtual Infrastructure workloads that are not protected by VBR as the VUL is for 10 instances which is covered the backup instances and VONE monitoring for them but what I want to achieve is monitoring the others in the virtual environment, is that possible ? as I read in Veeam Licenses documents but still confused.Appreciate your cooperation

dears,we have an env where there 2 CSI drivers, ebs-aws that support volumesnapshot, and efs that does not.all pods and data are stored on ebs-aws, the pods on ebs generates a continuous logs and all are stored on EFS and saved as files. the question is, when we run the backup for the applications on ebs, the logs stored on EFS will be backed up and all are protected? or there is additional tasks to do?

I posted the below on Reddit, let me know your thoughts...We're in talks at work to make a new GFS repo where we keep X daily Y weekly Z monthly and maybe a single yearly on the Veeam repository and also take a copy monthly/yearly from said repo to tape and then off to the safe deposit box at the bank. What if I lose my repo and all that data. Yeah, I might have a few monthly/yearly at the bank, but I'm hosed on the daily/weekly side. All that history, lost. Is anyone have a redundancy approach they're using? We're thinking about using a couple Synology boxes in in HA mode basically where they basically stay in sync with each other. Let me know what you think. I also think we could use a second Synology box do do backup copy jobs and keep the same GFS retention points there...

I am trying to backup a physical server with a 81.7TB volume using B&R version 12.1.1.56 and Veeam VSS Hardware Provider version 6.1.0.349.  I have deployed the Veeam agent in managed mode and created a Backup Proxy of the physical server which installed the Veeam Backup VSS Integration and Veeam VSS Hardware Provider.  According to Veeam a volume greater than 64TB can be backed up using the Veeam VSS Hardware Provider.  I don’t know how to reconfigure the managed physical server and/or backup job of the server in the Veeam Backup and Replication Console to use the Veeam VSS Hardware Provider.  I do not have any option to Manage Volumes on my ribbon under this managed server as the Veeam instructions dictate.  I have run a Rescan on my managed server which successfully completes finding all disks and volumes but still no option to Manage Volumes on my ribbon.  How can I ensure my managed server and backup job are properly using the Veeam VSS Hardware Provider?  Everything else is w

Hello, I have made upgrade from Licences 9.5b to 11a Community Edition without any Problem, but by upgrading to Version 12 Community Edition it gives me this: “[Error] Private fixes detected. Please contact our Customer Support to remove the following private fixes that are not supported by the new product version: TFS000100”There is no thread about TFS000100. In Registry there are no “Private fixes” found. Any idea?

Error message: Flow:In my kasten backup, i tried to use blueprints to better prepare my elasticsearch db for backup.But, for some reason, my blueprint cannot render '.Profiles' value in official Blueprint for elastic The command is at the last line:Unfortunately, profile is presented and created on kasten dashboard cannot be reached out. More details on my profileSo, is there anything that can prevent those parameters (blueprint and profiles) to be connected?Note 1Also my profile cannot be reached out in kasten-io namespaces when i tried oc get profiles commandBut I see profiles with this command Any explanation on this?Note 2Pod of the blueprint will start in the different namespace than default kasten-io ( {{ .Statefulset.Namespace }} ). Leider aber habe ich derzeit noch ein paar Verständnisfragen. Aber erst noch einmal zum Design bzw. gegenwärtigen zustand: Ich habe Kunden in einer Größenordnung zwischen 1 - 50 Mitarbeitern. Beinahe alle haben keine Virtualisierung oder Serverinfrastruktur. Bedeutet sie nutzen reine Cloudlösungen wie z.B. M365 und Lokal eben Speicherlösungen wie NAS oder SAN Systeme.  Eine meiner Fragen wäre jetzt, wie könnte man es handhaben Veeam Backup & Replication auszurollen als lokale instanz bei Kunden wenn kein Server vorhanden ist? Wäre auch eine installation auf einem produktiv Notebook denkbar, das ggf. nicht immer an wäre? Bei größeren Kunden bekomme ich bestimmt auch einen Server platziert aber bei einem 3-5 Personen Unternehmen wird das schwierig… Wie sieht es auf der Gegenseite mit der V Service Provider Console aus? Installiert ihr das lokal bei euch auf einem PC oder Server,

I already did it in the past with another version of Veeam but this time I’m facing an issue.The Database server is in another VLAN, rules are ok on the firewall. On the DB server, I disabled for the moment the Windows Firewall.In the SQL Server Network Configuration I set TCP/IP like this: But during the Veeam installation I got the following error:My service account for the installation is local administrator of the Veeam Server and has sysadmin permission on the SQL Server.Any idea? 😄 I’m not an expert with MS SQL so I have maybe miss something.​​​​​​​

Got a weird situation I’m not sure of the right approach.  This setup is new to me and has some issues which I fully acknowledge and will be seeking to rectify. I have a restore request to recover the server VM that Veeam B&R is installed on.  It’s a shared application server running on Hyper-V and one of the other applications has become corrupted and the system will have to be rolled back. My plan was to take a configuration backup of Veeam so I could recover Veeam to the current state after the server itself has been rolled back.  The repository is on separate storage so won’t be overwritten by the restore. What I can’t quite figure out is whether or not Veeam is going to be able to instigate a restoration of the machine the B&R server itself is actually running on.  Can it do that or will I have to install a second copy of Veeam on another server and import the backup before restoring it?
