Hi, We are utilizing the RestAPI in VBR11 to manage most of our jobs (reporting, start, stop, etc).It seems that SureBackup jobs are not included in the API, when communication with /api/v1/jobs Is there an roadmap for the API, where we can follow the progress? Or is this already included? :)

When VMs on Citrix Hypervisor (formerly known as XenServer), orchestrated by Cloudstack Apache or Azure Stack Hub, using Veeam Agent (for Microsoft Windows or for Linux) are managed by Veeam Service Provider Console (VSPC), reporting, licensing, and management functionality may have unpredictable results.See this KB for solution:https://www.veeam.com/kb4269

Hi everyone, ACG (A Cloud Guru) are providing a free training course this month on securing AWS S3 storage. Anton Gostev provided insights recently into public cloud utilisation and with AWS being used by such a big portion of the Veeam customer base, it makes sense to share information on how to secure the S3 storage. Link to course:https://acloudguru.com/course/how-to-properly-secure-an-s3-bucket Hope this helps someone!

Hey Veeam Community,I am having a problem backing up my personal workstation to an external hard drive.I am using the free version of Veeam Agent for Windows. When I backup, my main (C:) Internal SSD shows:Local SSD (C:) (476.1 GB) 262.5 GB read at 142 MB/sHowever, my other Internal SSD ‘terabyte’ (X:)Terabyte (X:) (953.9 GB) 3.8 GB read at 4 MB/s.I benchmarked both of my drives with CrystalDiskMark and they both got good similar results being Sata SSD’s, so the X: drive should not be this slow.I’ve tried swapping sata ports, changing cables, disable throttling when system is in use, etc. Nothing seems to help. Can anyone help me diagnose what is causing one drive to backup so much faster? Thanks, Mike
Let’s face it, we live in a world where security vulnerabilities and threats are top of mind. There’s some new exploits in the news daily...and often software patches are required to protect our assets.I’ve talked to many out there and the consensus is similar: patches are a must but, the need to be tested first, and testing is terrible. So I ask you all - what makes patch testing so terrible?
Anyone that uses Azure backups check this KB to apply a fix for the Updater.KB4261: Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure - Updater Component Vulnerability

If you use Replication and convert a VM to template your job may fail. See the following KB - KB1970: Replication job task fails with "Cannot process VM, template processing is disabled" (veeam.com)
[Sorry for this OT, but that’s a severe worldwide bug]A major bug has hit the Microsoft Exchanges on premise since January 1st 2022, because of using a int32 variable that long exceeds the maximum value of 2,147,483,647 causing the service goes error and blocking the queue mail.A first solution released by the community was to disable the malware filtering service with the following powershell lines:Set-MalwareFilteringServer -Identity <nameserver> -BypassFiltering $trueRestart-Service MSExchangeTransportMicrosoft yesterday released a powershell .ps1 that tricks the service by “unlocking the month of December 2021 to infinite days”, so today would be 34 December 2021.https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/exchange-team-blog/email-stuck-in-exchange-on-premises-transport-queues/ba-p/3049447Honestly, I don’t know if this can be considered a good solution. For more updates, there’s a dedicated subreddit:https://www.reddit.com/r/sysadmin/comments/rt91z6/exchange_2019_antimalware_bad_u

See for yourselves! It’s still getting darker and bruising more! Did you have anything funny happen this Christmas/year that you want to share? Comment below! Anyone using VONE make note of this recent issue with SRM in VMware. See the following KB.KB4260: Object Properties Collection Task finishes with the "fail" status when VMware Site Recovery Manager is used for monitored vCenter server(s) (veeam.com)
I know there is a related topic with the same problem but that one is for version 5.0.0 There is a known problem with Windows 11 and the installation of Microsoft SQL Server where the engine will not install unless it is installed on a different drive or VHD.I understand Veeam Agent for Windows uses SQL Server technology which is probably why it fails to install.Question 1: Is Veeam working on a solution independent of Microsoft?Question 2: I installed SQL Server 2019 Express with support for local DB but Veeam Agent for Windows still fails. Is there any way to have Veeam use the existing (operational) engine instead of attempting to install its own SQL engine? I read somewhere that they are using SQL 2012 but I haven’t tried preinstalling that version.Question 3: Is there any way to trick Veeam into installing on a different drive?I use Veeam at work and have been pretty happy with this product for home use. I already temporarily installed another backup solution but would love to go

If anyone is looking for version numbers Veeam has now updated the KB site with the newest CU patches noted in my previous post. Just in case you want to know what version you are on.
Hi folks, recently some KBs were pulled out. This is last one, and very helpful to anyone is having fun with Windows 11.Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows can't be started or installed after upgrade to Windows 11https://www.veeam.com/kb4259There’s already a topic about this (thanks @Chris.Childerhose): But I wanna share some more info about it, and maybe talks about Windows 11 and if it’s ready to production. I say no.Apparently there’s a problem with MS SQL LocalDB instance that can’t start automatically if system disk sector size greater than 4 KB.There’s even a Docs by Microsoft for this:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/sql/admin/troubleshoot-os-4kb-disk-sector-sizeand this is a talk about 4k sector size:https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/sql-server-support-blog/sql-server-new-drives-use-4k-sector-size/ba-p/316277 CURRENTLY MICROSOFT IS STILL INVESTIGATING. My humble advice is to at least wait a quarter before using new OS in production to get a minimum of stability i
