Hi @ODeSouza -
Not entirely sure the question you’re asking, but if you have a backup copy job and using GFR retention, you can go into your ‘Backups’ section in the VBR Console, rt-click the Backup/Copy Job > Properties, then you can see what the backup file type is - (M)onthly, (Y)early, (W)eekly, etc.
Hope that helps.
Hi @ODeSouza,
VBM365 functions differently to VBR. Whereas VBR works with full and incremental files, instead VBM365 utilises a database so each item is backed up once, it’s a lot more space efficient for item based workloads such as this.
Some good reading:
If you’re planning on using cache + object storage: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbo365/guide/vbo_osr.html?ver=60
If you’re planning on using traditional storage: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbo365/guide/vbo_backup_repositories.html?ver=60
In summary though, your snapshot retention will keep the item for your database for as long as it exists in production + your retention period.
Oh gosh...ooops!...he did ask for VBO, didn’t he? Thanks @MicoolPaul :)

If in the database of the backup VBM365 we’ll have all the email messages as they are in the production O365 + my retention period, that means if we configure a retention policy of 60 days and today somebody delete an email message received in 2020, we can recover it from the backup, right?
correct item level is based on when the content was created/modified, whereas you said you’re using snapshot which is based on the time of the backup.
