Hi.Have a problem with Multicluster. I forgot to disconnect a cluster from multicluster before I destroyed it.I then did the disconnect, but it stays in “Removal pending” on the console. Is there a way to force the removal to pass? Regards,-Ulf 

Hi, What we have:A Protection Group (protection-sql) containing SQL Server Cluster: sql_c01 with two sql Servers. sql1 and sql2 I have one agent Backup Job bj-sql-01 , Type “Failover Cluster”. Useing a sobr with aws capacity and archive tiers.  Anything is working absolutely fine. Backup ist fine. Offloading is fine. Whats going on:Both sql servers will be renewed. There will be two new sql server. sql1-new and sql2-new (agent already installed) After installation, both new sql servers will useing the same SQL Server Cluster sql-c01 sql1 and sql2 will be turned off.My Accepetion:Should I build a new backup job (clone) or is it possible to keep the existing backup job. bj-sql-01 ?I would manually initiate a Protection Group rescan. The new sql-server should appear in the Protection Group protection-sql the OLD sql server should disappear, because they do not belong to the sql cluster anymore. The existing backup job should recocognize the missing sql Server but will continue backup the

Hallo Zusammen,Ich habe ca. 20 VMs in 5 Jobs aufgeteilt wegen der Häufigkeit der Backups. Das OS der VMs sind nahe zu gleich bei allen VMs. Es sind alles Windows Server 2019. Wirkt die Deduplizierung der Jobs die mehrere VMs beinhalten auch auf das jeweilige OS oder nur auf die einzelne VM?Gruß   Kostas 

Hallo Zusammen,ich verwende V11 Standard Edition auf ein ESXi 7 Server mit ca. 20 Windows Server 2019 VMs.ich habe derzeit zwei Partitionen. Eine Archiv-Partition W: mit ca. 600GB bei ca. 3.5Mio. Dateien. Das sind Source Files von Software Projekten. Die Produktiv-Daten liegen auf der Partition C:Es würde reichen die Archiv-Daten einmal pro Woche zu sichern da sich sich normalerweise nicht ändern werden. Die Produktiv-Daten würde ich täglich sichern.Es geht auch um die Wiederherstellungszeit falls notwendig, da ich im Desaster-Fall das Archiv nicht mit zurück sichern müsste, zumindest nicht im ersten Stepp. V11 bietet die Möglich VMs komplett zu sichern und auch Volume Backups. Ist es Sinnvoll Volume Backups zu erzeugen oder ist Veeam so effizient dass ich mir das sparen kann? Die 600GB sind keine große Datenmenge. Allerdings die Aufteilung auf 3.5Mio Dateien ist durchaus ein Problem, mindestens beim Restore. Alternativ könnte ich das Archiv auf eine separate VM auslagern da ich Micros

Hello,I’ve upgraded from 4.5.10 to 4.5.13 this week, since then my backups are failing.Looks like there is a new ambassador version since 4.5.12, which can’t be pulled (Back-off pulling image "quay.io/datawire/ambassador:2.2.2")Can’t find that image version on the quay.io registry. Is this a known issue? 

I try to backup a VM Machine on hyper-v but i get error: 20.04.2022 10:56:18 :: Processing DC-01 Error: There are no available IP addresses to connect to Hyper-V Integration Service.   How can I solve this, with anoter hyper-v server it works. Thx Peter

Hello everyone,I am trying to federate the Kasten setup behind an Ingress Controller (see here for more info https://blog.kasten.io/posts/how-to-set-up-alerts-in-kasten-k10-to-immediately-catch-failed-backups) . It seems that everytime my Prometheus server tries to scrape data from the Kasten K10 Prometheus instance, located at the address http://<ingress>/k10/prometheus/federate it requires a login. I managed to do that by passing “authorization: credentials: inside the Prometheus job config.Are there anywhere any best practices to do it? What kind of service account, with restricted permissions, shall I create in order to just have the exact permissions to get monitoring data?Thank you!Mattia

Hi,  I have one VBR Server 11 wherein I have created the SOBR having capacity tier of azure blob.  While creating SOBR I have defined move policy with 0 days.  My retention policy is 7 days with 1 full and 6 incremental.  My requirement is to move the data onto azure blob automatically as soon as it reaches to performance tier.  In my case data is not offloading to azure blob and veeam is taking its default counter of every 4 hours with 0bytes of data offloaded to azure. Can anybody help? Regards,Sunny 

Sottopongo alla community un tema dal quale non riesco a trovare via di uscita.Ho un file server windows con filesystem deduplicato che ogni fine settimana esegue il processo di garbage collection. Il processo di garbage muove in quella circostanza 700GB-1TB di dati che Veeam tratta e backuppa di conseguenza. Questo delta significativo incide in maniera importante sullo spazio del repository ( repository linux con file system xfs + immutabilità ) portandolo a riempirsi.Chiedo se qualcuno ha un consiglio su come aggirare il problema, agendo lato Microsoft o lato Veeam, o se siete a conoscenza di best practices per queste circostanze di cui tener conto.GrazieLuca  

Hello, 3 days ago I upgraded Veeam Backup & Replication from 11 to 11a (11.0.1.1261).Since then in the notifications in case of Warning I’m not getting the Details anymore.Actually I know the details of the warnings because they are “historical” and I can still see them in the console, but why they are not written in the e-mails anymore? (see example picture attached, the last column is empty even in case of Warning)Thanks for your help.

i have some backups that are failing   

Customer is running backups of their VM’s at PROD site to at SOBR and running a backup copy for that job to their DR site (also to a SOBR).   They want to replicate some key VMs to their DR site as well and was hoping to seed those replicas from a the backup copy at the DR site.  Apparently seeding replicas from a backup (or backup copy) on a SOBR is not supported.   Trying to understand why not and how to work around this other than going back to non-SOBR backup repositories?  

We attempted a disaster recovery test for servers backed up at Wasabi and 7 of our 8 servers recovered just fine.  We have a decent sized file server (2.4 TB) that won't restore from the capacity tier storage.  It gets to the same point each time and fails.  We have a support ticket and have attempted some fixes and no luck.  We would like to clear out both the performance and capacity tier of this one server so that it can create a new full backup at performance and then send the new backup to wasabi.  What is the optimal way to clear this out?  Just select this server from that object storage and select delete from disk on that server?  Or should I create a new job with this one VM and run it?

I have installed Veeam B&R Community Edition. I have to take backup from x.x.x.6 to x.x.x.10I have successfully created Backup Repository for x.x.x.10Now I am creating Protection Group where in I am adding x.x.x.10 from where I have take backup. As soon as I Test the credentials (Either Local Host / Domain ) in both cases I am receiving the below error. I tried to OFF the Windows Defender but then also no success. Kindly advise

VBR 备份的时候是通过vphere去选择的备份服务器，如果vphere挂了，还原备份的时候会有问题吗？

Hello Team,  I am working on a project where customer would like to backup their M365 data (mailbox, onedrive, sharepoint etc.) using Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 and also backup Azure VMs using Veeam Backup & Replication.  I see Azure has both these available in the market place. So if I use them and deploy them directly on Azure Subscription it is good enough right? Or should I need any other instance of Veeam Backup and Replication or Veeam Backup for M365 in on-premise infra or Azure VM etc.? Cause I saw this video - Here I see the Veeam is installed else where and we are trying to connect to cloud appliance. So I am confused 

我是做了一个定时备份任务，1个T的容量，第一次完备大约是300多G ，后续的增量每次约30G左右。我定时任务约3天一次。备份仓库容量有限约4T左右，每次30G不是很快就满了吗。如果执行完备后一个会覆盖前一个吗？，增量备份算法上他是如何覆盖的。。。求大佬指点
