Hello Veeam Community,there is a problem to connect to our SP Console.When i use the URL we configured with our Cloud-Gateways vcc.xxxx.de and i validate the Certificate from the SP i get the Error: Connection to Cloud Provider cannot be established.Has anyone some ideas to solve this Problem?Thanks for help!

I hope you are all well and can support me if necessary.I want to add my Proxmox HOST with the new version 12.2.0.334 and always get the following error message, which gives me no information at all about what is wrong.Error message:An unknown Proxmox VE Error has occured - screenshot attachedDo I need to configure anything else on my Proxmox host so that I have the option of adding the HOST to VBR?I would be very grateful for your support! 

I’ve registered for VeeamOn 2025 and paid, trying to sign up for sessions but cannot figure it out. I can get a list of sessions but don’t see an option to register. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

We observed our monthly back ups were deleted earlier than the 3 month retention set in the jobs . Short term retention is 35 restore pointsGFS is 3 months Repo is SOBR extents - Exagrid GFS Policy: Enabled, monthly backups kept for 3 months. Active full backup: Scheduled last monday of every month. Transform to synthetic full: Scheduled first sunday of every month. VSS settings: Application aware processing is enabled.  We need to understand why the retention policy is not working as expected. Could you please provide a checklist of items to investigate, and explain whether the current settings would result in this behavior?

I migrate Redhat VM from vmware to Hyper-v using VBR and the redhat can’t boot and stuck in dracut. Anyone know how to fix this?  

Sorry for the simple question, that’s no doubt been asked and answered before…Today we have VCC for our off-site cloud backups, and the immutability is provided by the “Insider protection” which in short means we pay for the privilege but we do not need to worry about disk space consumption over and above our actual backups.For lower cost we’re considering object storage, probably Wasabi, and we’ll want immutability there also. The thing I need to be sure of, is the disk space required. I am not sure if the copy jobs would have a specific backup mode, but with incremental, if they’re immutable, you’re previously overwritten backups are kept for longer? Disk space could be double what you have before?Thanks in advance for any insight on real world disk space requirements. Today, 27TB approx. is our VCC repo and as I say, the immutable data is retained at a fixed additional cost so we don’t know the size of that.

We would like to upgrade the Veeam 12.3.1 but we could not find the Veeam one 12.3.1 Version .Could you please suggest us, If we upgrade VBR 12.3.1  then Veeam one will allow to monitor the jobs ?

I am trying to clean up my Veeam Backup environment. Since they launched the Malware detection many of my backup sets are marked as containing files that Veeam thinks are malware. Most file extensions are not and some are files that have been created from our internal Applications Development team. I am either deleting non-relevant files or adding the extension to the Trusted Objects list.One extension that Veeam marked as Malware is *.kill . It found 2 files on our file server with this extension. Confusingly, I have not been able to find these files when I search the file server.  Can anyone point me to an application or process that could locate these files?

I have a backup copy job for OneDrive that has been running for over 60 hrs. and I am attempting to stop the job.  I stopped it in the GUI however the job still shows running with a status of “Queued” and the details show “Operation pending”.  The job status has not changed for 30-60 minutes.   I have also attempted to stop the copy job with the Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 Powershell Toolkit but I am running into syntax errors.

I don't get it.I have backup and replication Enterprise.I backup my VMware servers to a local storage and then I want to backup copy them to Azure storage blob (Hot).All I can see in backup and replication is the option to connect to an exsisting backup in Azure.If I try to create a new storage with folders, Veeam cannot see the folder.I read somwhere that I must deplot an enterprise app in Azure to create this folder.Is this really true?Can someone please give me some direction?

I’ve encountered a couple of issues with B&R and I’d like to start from scratch. I’m contemplating renaming my old B&R server VM and creating a new VM with a freash OS and Veeam B&R install since my current B&R server has been updated many times and was switched from Microsoft SQL to PostgreSQL.Is there a way to export/import only the Credintails & Passwords? I want to manually add all of the other info into the B&R server because one of the issues I’m encountering seems to be database related.Issues:I replaced a physical workstation that uses Windows Agent. I reinstalled the old SSD into the new computer. I renamed the PC. Everything works, including Veeam Agent backups but I noticed that email alerts and Malware scan related errors still reference the old computer name even though the new pc name is displayed in the B&R control panel. Hello everyone!I performed an Instant Restore, but most of the time, I need to manually unmount the NFS datastore. However, sometimes Veeam does not automatically remove these datastores after the jobs have finished running, so I have to remove them manually.Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Hi all,Trying to understand how GFS works. B&R 12.3.0.310 Enterprise Plus. I recently add GFS media, trying to learn how it works. It seems similar to the standard media pool but with additional write protect quarterly/monthly/yearly etc. It seems that everyday I’d get prompted with insert a tape to continue and it doesn’t seem to happen to all the jobs either.I don’t really have a physical tape drive, I’m using AWS Tape Gateway. The backup sizes is smaller than the actual tape capacity that I specify on AWS (15TB). Because of this, I’d like to use the same media, just append to it. This is kind of getting frustrating and I’m thinking to just go back to regular media and increase the restore points and abandon GFS.For this illustration, I have an Active Directory backup. I assigned five 15TB tapes to this GFS media pool, each tape is assigned to Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly.Even with full backup, each tape can contain the max retention time of the restore points so we know

I’ve been a long-time user and promoter of Veeam B&R. I have provided many sales leads which have resulted in new customers and increased revenue for several different companies that I consult with. In order for me to stay informed and current, I have an extensive home lab. I’ve used an NFR license with Veeam, for years.Folks like me used to be able to report bugs and obtain support by posting on forums.veeam.com. Things have changed over there and that forum can no longer be used for support. I have tried opening support cases with Veeam Support but they always get closed because resources are not available for trial and NFR license holders.So what are folks like me supposed to do when we encounter issues that appear to be bugs? The lack of any support for trial and NFR users is genuinely making me consider installing and learning a different backup solution and I love Veeam.
