I’ve read the requirements which call for 16GB RAM and 8 cores.How will this run on a 12GB Windows 10/11 machine with 6 cores (Intel i5-10400 CPU @ 2.90GHz)? There’s little else running on the machine.
Hi, I had an unexpected network error on my windows server 2012R2 and Veeam Agent for Windows ver. 5.0.3I have setted “keep backups for 35 days” and I have on my nas 2 Tb free out of 3 Tb total. Now, I have 34 backups and when i run a backup, after about a minute, I get “processing finished with errors” and “error: unexpected network error. Failed to read data from the file”. I tried to free up some space, to stop and start Veeam agent service, to restart nas, to modify the number of backups (trying 30 and 40) but every time i got the same error. what else can i do?

We are new with using Veeam P2V. We’ve successfully P2V’d a couple of servers without a issue.We have been asked to P2V a Dell server running windows 2012R2. Has 1 Hard drive that is 1TB.We deployed the Veeam agent and backed it up OK. We migrated into production (with NIC not connected and powered off). Once it was completed, we removed the nic from it in VCenter and added the VMXNET3 adapter and the correct assigned the Vlan back to it. We powered it on (w/NIC not Connected) and the server comes up and displays “Getting Devices Ready” and it just sits there with circle spinning.Anyone seen this before and have any suggestions of what the issue could be?
Hello everyone, I have run into an issue that I can’t seem to figure out. I have my system set up to backup on a daily basis but a backup has not run in the last 12 days. The only change made 12 days ago was a reinstall of Slack on my laptop. I have rebooted my system multiple times since that date along with performing an uninstall and reinstall of the agent. I am including a screenshot of the Windows agent and my system uptime below.I am not sure why there would be a job still running at this point and could really use some help. I am using Veeam B&R 11.5 CE and my laptop is running Windows 11 22H2. I know that my version of Windows technically is not supported until B&R 12 with Windows agent version 6 but they have not been released yet. I do know that the only thing that will not work with my version of Windows is the backup recovery media creation. Hi all,Our setup is currently as follow: Veeam server in seperated VLAN, guest processing is now running with VIX with the domain\administrator account.Regarding the KB we must use the administrator account as it has the -500 at the end of the SID.For safety purpose we want to disable the global domain\administrator account and use another domain admin. Since I change the account, the backup jobs failing because of failing guest processing.When I test the guest processing, the difference is that administrator successfully can make connection with Guest OS via VIX (after failing over to backup server for guest interaction). Another account fails at this step as well.I could open 445 between the VLANS’, but I’m not sure that I break security if I do so.Are there best practise available for this kind of setup? Disabling UAC would not be the best option for us :).Thank you!
Hello,I’m not able to backup my postgres database via blueprint anymore. I already did a complete new installation of k10 (with current 5.0.7 release), but I still have the following problem. In the Kanister-job that makes the DB dump, everything looks fine. I can see the logical size and also the kopiaOutput JSON being created. Hello, We use crunchy postgres operator and for backup database we want use Kasten, we have set policy for backup application for generic backup because we using pv local-storage. We found option use blueprint for backup postgres database with option BEFORE snapshot action. In your documentation for Crunchy operators we found that must be enable manual backup. We set this parametr and now we can backup postgres database with using blueprint for crunchy operators.But we dont know how it works, to NFS storage is store some data after each backup. But is there some option how set some retentional policy for Full,Dif,Inc backup? Hello,I am trying to migrate a statefulset of Cassandra from one cluster to another. I am running into issues that I believe are more related to the statefulset applications than Kasten but, could be wrong.One key aspect is the namespace and K8s cluster domain change on the destination side. I think this is where having different NS and domains between clusters can be problematic. Since the application uses DNS to find pods & services, this breaks things when the migration occurs. So when the restored pod starts up, it is looking for the old DNS name of the pod/svc. It seems the only real way to modify a statefulset is to perform an update (rolling, canary, etc...) or delete, modify, redeploy. So I tried (on the destination system) to restore only the PV, modify the statefulset [change NS, PVC template, and value for seeds DNS], then deploy the app.Pods attached to the existing PV But then Cassandra could not find any seed nodes and decided to reinitialize the DB (as brand new
Moin Veeamers,ich habe eine Spannende Aufgabe und benötige Hilfe… Mein Chef will, dass ich auswerte ob die Veeam “Data locality policy for a scale-out backup” auch das tut was sie soll also die Backups eines Jobs besser noch einer VM auf möglichst immer in das selbe Extend des SoBR landen.ich hatte die Hoffnung das dies mal eben fix mit PowerShell geht, Google spuckt dazu aber nix vernünftiges aus. ich stelle mir das irgendwie vor, dass ich mit PowerShell ne liste in ne CSV ausgeben kann in der einfach nur Job, ID, Date, Pfad jedes Backup gelistet wird den Rest mache ich dann mit Excel… Hat da Jemand ne Idee ? HolaTengo una instalación de B&R 9.5Hace poco he heconstruido el nas de backup. Es un HP microserver.Tengo un Ubuntu 22.04 LTS con CIFS y NFS. 4 discos en un volumen ZFS. 8 gb de RAM.Dos tarjetas de red en “Bonding”. En modo RoundRobin.El servidor de Veeam es una máquina virtual windows7, qyue hasta ahora me iba funcionando bien.El nas es el repositorio para bakups. Y puedo navegar y mover archivos sin problemas en él.Al hacer los backups, algunos muy pesados llegan hasta casi el 100% pero no. Antes da fallo.El fallo es “General error: El nombre de red especificado ya no está disponible. Failed to write data to ile……. Failed to download disk…..Tambien apunta que “agent failed to process method {data transfer.SyncDisck).Pensais que puede ser problema del bonding ??Veeam llega al nas por cifs.Gracias y saludos

I am trying to make a second scale out repository (not overlapping with the first) and I keep getting the following message when trying to save it… “Summary: Failed to save scale-out backup repository: F:\Backup Copy” I got this message another time but pointing to a different directory, which linked to some orphaned backups. I deleted those in hopes this would fix it, but it just keeps throwing a different backup path each time. This specific one doesn’t even exist on my server under backup repos or disk backups (copies or orphaned), so I have no clue how to get past this. Hey! I have added an immutable S3 Bucket to be able to export my backups to. Everything works as expected, I can backup and restore, but I get perdiodically this error message and I don’t know why, because the data wasn’t modified by anyone (only kasten has access to it). Blobs containing immutable backup data were found to be in an unexpected state that may indicate tampering has occurred. The affected repository location is of type S3, at the endpoint https://minio.domain.tld, in the bucket "k10-minio" at the path "k10/b5c2fd3e-6d52-41b0-8675-84dc6f2acaab/migration/repo/52717ccf-8f42-4d31-bec4-c3122e5ccee5/". The profile being used to access this repository is called "k10-minio" in the "kasten-io" namespace. Issue description: one or more data blobs have unexpected version history. See logs for more details.What can I do to prevent these messages and be sure that my data is reliable? Thanks a lot!
Newbie here: !! :-) Had to reboot a host which Veeaem is installed on. After reboot got various reports that the backup had failed. Checked Veeam and one of the hosts has a red x next to it. and whatever I try to get it back on line, I get the following error: Any help/advice gratefully appreciated:-)
