Good day team, Trying to create a sub folder under the backup tree in container and i get this error. This blob storage is working Buexec, backups going to it etc. I also cannot move forward as i need a folder name to select. How can i resolve this?

We have a vSAN cluster where the vSAN network is physically separated on different network switches from the management and other VM networks. When configuring Veeam backup proxy for VM backups on vSAN, what interfaces or connectivity is required? What traffic flows over which interface? Is the below understanding correct or we need only one interface on the backup proxy connecting to the ESXi mgmt network? ESXi: vmnic0 - esxi mgmt  (connected to a pairA of network switches)vmnic1 - vsan (connected to pairB of network switches) NIC0 - connectivity to ESXi Mgmt (Connects to ESXi/vCenter for VM and esxi details, mouting the backup VM disk to the proxy VM)NIC1 - connectivity to the vSAN inetwork (data of the VM is fetched through this interface) Thanks,Sudhir

Guten Morgen  zusammen, nachdem nun alles geht wie gewünscht, meine Mails ankommen und ich Veeam natürlich auch schon fleißig am Weiterempfehlen bin, habe ich folgende Warning erhalten. 24.01.2022 10:00:19 Warning Skipping server certificate backup because encryption is disabled 24.01.2022 10:00:19 Warning Skipping credentials backup because encryption is disabled. This will complicate the restore process significantly. Enable configuration backup encryption to stop receiving this warning.

Hi team, We all know about the type of general backups usch as incremental, full, synthetic full, differential etcMy colleague (a veritas user) wants to move forward with Veeam. However, he is not yet conviced, he is asking if veeam can:Perform general Differential backups efficiently and easily in VBR 12.1 with easy steps Perform Differential backups on VHDX/VHD, VMDK files with retention of choiceI welcome any detailed/explanation insight here. I would love to make him a new Veeam user/believer.

I had a problem with our host server in production and I had to activate the replicas on our second backup host, later I applied permanent Failover, after reestablishing the first host that had the problem, I created replica routines from the backup host server to the main one and I applied permanent Failover, finally, I recreated the replication routines from the main server to the backup server, however, it is no longer working, an error keeps appearing that I couldn't find on the community forum. Failed to process replication task Error: Failed to create planned VM configuration (path: 'D:\9ca0c3d4671a45888343cf0b4ef75605(20)\Virtual Machines\545b475e-2040-49fe-bffb-d9133f3739f4.vmcx'). Hi Community, I am trying to configure an RHV server, after entering the credentials I get this message: Failed to add cluster: Failed to register cluster - Failed to register cluster - Value cannot be null. (Parameter 'key')Value cannot be null. (Parameter 'key') Regards

We have a Dell Esxi host server that failed to come back online. In our contract Dell will try to make it work correctly or replace. Anyways, we have had a full chassis, except for harddrives, and new NIC cards installed. While it ran, for a few short days, my backups were failing with the message: Error: Unable to process the VM: your socket license has been exceeded. Install an extended license, or migrate protected VMs to the licensed hosts.  The backups work as expected when the faulty server is off but when it comes back the errors reappear. What do I need to do to get licensing straightened out again? All worked fabulously for years until about a month ago. Thanks

Hello, Thanks, Please help! From VBAR, i got a message to update, but after that, i cannot start the console, backups are not happening any more.In addition, VeeamBackupSvc will not start. cannot run backups.I rebooted a few times, re-ran the update, it always completed without error.Note: this is my home server. the console is running local on the VBR server. Not sure exactly how to debug and solve this?   when i try to run the console, i get  From event viewerService cannot be started.

I know  veeam support will only knows which logs to review but for knowledge purpose can somone  please share the log files to investigate for each Veeam component like, backup job, replication, restore, surebackup, sobr, cloud backups, proxy server, repository, tape backup etc and if any tool to investigate logs

I’m moving an artesca S3 bucket to another veeam host. The repo is part of a SOBR with a storeonce primary target. Rescan option cant be done directly on the repo but can on the SOBR…..however it seems to fail.  I’m concerned when moving to the new server, we wont see old backups. Thoughts??

HiI ask if Veeam community edition of Veeam is compatible with RHV, and if anyone has had experience. Gustavo

MfG

Hi, we have applied the available security patches and upgraded our Veeam backup Azure version 6 to 7 Yesterday. Since then, we are unable to go to the url that the FLR creates for any of our restore requests using Veeam appliance portal. We have not made any change in Azure or in Veeam side except applying these updates. We have checked and all permission for service accounts are fine, the NSG in Azure clearly shows allowing port 443 for the worker instances vnet /subnet so we cant really think of anything else that could cause this issue. We have raised a support case with Veeam as well and they have asked us to try the worker IP address to browse to the URL that we also tried without any luck: Any advice would be highly appreciated. Many thanks

Good morning.I have VBR community edition installed on a Hyper-V standalone workgroup server.I would like to be able to set up replication to a Hyper-V cluster in my domain. Is this possible at all, and if so, is there a document that I could follow in order to configure this?Thank you.

I need to restore a VM to a vApp in VMware Cloud Director.  The Veeam docs say to “Launch VMware Cloud Director Entire VM Restore Wizard”. When I right click on the Backup that I need to restore, “Restore entire VM >” does not appear in the Context menu as it shows in the Veeam docs.I see “Restore entire VM to Nutanix AHV...”, but not the “Restore entire VM >” as shown in the Veeam docs.I am using Veeam 12.1.1.56 Community Edition, in case that matters.Any help is much appreciated.
