We are using Veeam Backup and Replication 11, getting this error when backing up the servers: 

I’d backed up some data for a group of users during a mail migration. The job is complete so I’ve deleted it all to free up the licenses for another job. Unfortunately I believe that I’ve done things in the wrong order. The repository has been deleted and now I can’t get “Remove-VBOLicensedUser”. For every user it outputs:“Remove-VBOLicensedUser : The process cannot access the file '\\10.1.1.1\office365backups\BackupName\Repository.xml' because it is being used by another process” The repository listed is nothing to do with these users and it’s not in user by any process that I can see - certainly openfiles is blank. Any idea how to proceed? 

We have used NAS device to create a backup folder with Commvault. Can we upload the backup from NAS to Cloud? We are using Community Edition 10

Hey everyone, Was browsing the R&D forums (I know, I’m a traitor!), and discovered this post from Gostev announcing the end of VeeamPN!https://forums.veeam.com/post467237.html#p467237 This caught me by surprise as I felt like more noise would’ve been made around it, maybe I was one of the only people that used it, but I remember once dealing with a managed network that was refusing to integrate additional routes to perform SureReplica at a remote site, so I used VeeamPN to create a tunnel between the sites and create my own route that way! 😆 So long VeeamPN, you were awesome. 🍻

If I’m creating a Windows backup, for a particular drive on a file server….is it best to create a File Share backup or a Volume level backup (essentially both backup the same set of files).  ie which is most efficient or recommended as a best practice?

I was able to solve this challenge in a project and would like to share the findings. The challengeConsider you want to restore Exchange items (e.g. mails, calendar objects, etc.) using Veeam Explorer for Exchange as well as Veeam Enterprise Manager.Consider also, that you have a larger multi-domain infrastructure with the VI and backup infrastructure in a sub-domain (infra.mydomain.com). For security reasons, we are not able to reach the GC of the root domain. The mail addresses are derived from the root domain though (myuser@mydomain.com).This might lead to the situation that neither Veeam Explorer for Exchange nor Veeam Enterprise Manager can determine the CAS server of your Exchange environment, as they want to contact the GC in charge first.
