Hi, we wants to make DR configuration between Veeam-VMware backup replication. Each two site has independent infrastructure, backup by veeam. And network is connected by private line.  Our requirement is similar as DR site. When Site 1 gets failure, Site 2 can recover VM in Site 1. If network is possible and can access to same File storage(SMB),[copy backup job] to SMB storage and recover VM on another Veeam B&R?network storage resides in another location.    Thanks.Best regards.Jaeseong Lee

Hi,does veeam archive guarantees that archived data will be readable for 10-30 years? We need to ensure that archived data will be readable due to company requirements. We are using the archive extent in the scale outs. Configured with a gfs retention. They are stored as full backups. People are saying that a backup tool is not an archive tool. I would like to avoid useing another archive tool. We need something offical.

Hi I’m using Veeam community edition 11. I have 2 physical machines that are only on a few times a week, never on Saturday when the synthetic backup takes place. I have retention set to 7 days. Will these devices ever do a full back and the older restore points be removed ?

We are not getting restore job Id while running the below PowerShell command in Veeam 11, but for versions below 11, we are getting the restore job id.I checked the Veeam11 commands document but couldn’t find anything helpful regarding VM restore job id.Let us know if there is any particular command to fetch the job id. Running command using Veeam11:$latest_backup_copy = Get-VBRBackup -Name 'backup_job_0'| Get-VBRRestorePoint -Name 'oracle_smallest' | Sort-Object -Property CreationTime -Descending | Select -First 1 ;;  Start-VBRRestoreVM -RestorePoint    $latest_backup_copy -ToOriginalLocation             -StoragePolicyAction Default -PowerUp:$True             -RunAsync Restore Type       VM Name              State      Start Time             End Time               Description------------       -------              -----      ----------             --------               -----------RestoreVm          oracle_smallest      Starting   5/28/2021 12:17:24 PM  1/1/1900 12:00:00 AM  Running

I’m using Veeam Backup for Office 365.Our data needs to be retained forever. My problem is that we have limited fast storage options (NAS that can read/write at high speeds). We have virtually unlimited slower storage options.I am currently using the fast storage for the repository. It is filling up fast, and in less than a year it will be full.I don’t need 10 years of emails and such to be quickly restored. I would like to move anything over 6 months old to a repository on a different, slower NAS.I’m trying to understand offloading to object storage repositories, but not sure this is the correct solution. Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

Good afternoon,I am with V10 version With Enterprise manager I try to hide jobs and vm depending on user.ExampleUser1 : could see Job1 and vm Vm1 and vm 2User2: could see Job2 and vm Vm3  We have two roles : Portal administrator and portal user. With the role portal user, I filtered the vm for each user. It works fine the User1 sees vm1 and vm2 and User2 sees VM3.But the two users see job1 and job2. My question is how do we filter the jobs by users as we can do with vm? Regards

I installed Veeam agent for Microsoft Windows on Hp Pavillion g6 Laptop of Core i5, 1 terabyte, 12 gig ram which runs on windows 10 enterprise, version 10.0.19043 with system type of x64-based pc, It was successful upon installation and a full successful backup. When i tried to reinstall the entire system using Veeam recovery media which I created, prior to when I started the installation, I encountered an error which says“OS disk in backup uses MBR disk. This may cause boot issues on UEFI systems”,which I resolved using https://www.veeam.com/kb3156 which actually solved the problem of “OS disk in backup uses MBR disk. This may cause boot issues on UEFI systems” after restarting my pc, everything happens to be fine until I turned my PC off,Upon turning my PC on again, I saw an error saying“Choose an operating system”, Meaning that I now have two (WINDOWS 10 ENTERPRISE on volume 4)What could have caused it?How do I resolve this issue? Thanks.
