Aware that Veeam has Unique selling points such as Instant recovery of VMs and Verification of recoverability of backups, other than that whether Veeam has any unique offerings.

Hi,

This is a good (albeit difficult) question to answer as there are so many competitors. Let me answer this instead with some of the best features they have and whilst a competitor may have some of this, after all who can actually compare every single product out there in-depth, at least it gives you a good feature list for comparisons.

Instant Recovery of VMs, SQL databases and NAS shares.

Application integration with Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL, Oracle and more. This is a really powerful and granular feature, You can do more than just “restore a database” you can pull out specific parts of a database backup.

SureBackup/Datalabs will enable you to test every backup or replica, including a bunch of pre-defined scripts and the ability to use your own!

Continuous Data Protection (CDP) to enable extremely low RPO replicas, this is another powerful tool as it mixes support for application aware processing and crash consistency depending on what is most important to you.

Linux support for server components, a key highlight here is supporting immutability, the ability to have all your backup files as tamper resistant is a huge boost in the fight against ransomware.

Storage vendor integration, you can leverage storage snapshots directly from Veeam for many SANs leaving you with a single management system that can also integrate with your applications to ensure transaction consistency + you can leverage these as a backup source to improve performance during backups.

Veeam ONE is an amazing monitoring and reporting solution, ensuring optimal configuration, performance and data protection coverage.

Veeam B&R also have integrations with their AWS/Azure systems to enable multi-cloud protection and agents to support physical devices.

Finally for my non-exhaustive list: Veeam Cloud Connect, allowing service providers native BaaS and DRaaS offerings via the Veeam system you already know + remote management and alerting facilities.

I’m just getting started with the list here but hopefully it gives you some idea of what Veeam can do!

@MicoolPaul , nice one! Definitely better than the competition.

Besides that what @MicoolPaul has listed, it is simple, intuitive to use and it really just works as designed!

@MicoolPaul , also a very good strong point of Veeam against the competition, is the portability. You only need a community VBR, import existing backup-files and the restore can begin in case of a disaster when the backup-server is broken ;-)
