vCenter shows disk consolidation requested by Veeam but also displays percentage of completion. What's a good plan to be able to restart the Windows DB VM? See screenshots below.From what I know, it is not a good idea to reboot while consolidation is going on. However, this has been going on for at least 2 days and the DB residing on the server is performing poorly. I have requested the DB folks to try to restart the DB instead of the server but in the event that this would be the only option that is left to do, what is a good way to go about doing a VM reboot. A customer uses the copy function for capacity tier to instantly copy on-premises Veeam backups (retention of 30 days) to object storage. They’ve configured object lock on the object storage (60 days) that has a duration longer than the local backup policy. As Veeam cannot delete a backup in object storage at 30 days, will it delete it after the object lock expires (60 days) or does the customer need to manually delete the files on object storage?My thoughts are Veeam will clean up those files once the the 60 day lock has expired, but got me scratching my head for sure

I’ve installed and configured the Veeam MS SQL agent on a MS SQL Server 2022 instance. During the DB backup setup, I can’t select object based repository or my SOBR. What is the best way to transition MS SQL backups to S3? Replication jobs only allow VMs. The Backup Copy and Copy Job only show local repositories.
Running VBR v12.0. Created a backup job. Ran the job and got an error so went back in and try to edit the job. I got the error below. First time, I encountered this error. The backup log just showed the same information. I have a similar job running in our “staging” VBR but not having any error. The backup job is a storage snapshot and does handle SQL transaction logging. I saw in the Veeam’s Forum the same error message but this was for a backup copy job. What do you think is happening here?

I’m currently working through the following2x AceMagic AM06Pro (https://www.amazon.com/Computers-Windows-Display-Desktop-Bluetooth/dp/B0BQHBWPYX) upgraded to 64 GB ram and 3 TB of internal disks each for ESXi hosts 1x AceMagic T8 Plus (https://www.amazon.com/ACEMAGIC-Computer-3-Screen-Bluetooth-Computers/dp/B0CQJQPZJX) as a Proxmox host (hopefully) 1 QNAP TS332x for basic iSCSI and object storage 1 Synology 923+ that I’m hoping to do some Veeam related goodness on. Cloud based object storage from 11:11 Systems as well as some vCD compute for VCC In addition I have some resources in AWS that I’ll leverage to do testing and learning with. With the recent announcement that Hyper-V is strategic to Microsoft, as the main focus of Server 2025 you can imagine I've spent more time on the topic than usual lately. I normally don’t post on here, but I figured I'd share. To get the basic stuff out of the way, yes you can Instantly Recovery ‘any’ workload to Hyper-V, and it can be automated with PowerShell - it will probably make it easier at scale. And for those new to Hyper-V with Veeam, on-host backup processing is the way to go. We worked in close collaboration with Product Management, R&D (i.e. Gostev's teams) and our CIS team to overhaul the formulae and update the user experience. I am happy to report that the updated calculators are now generally available at https://www.veeam.com/calculators.A couple of notes:the calculators are, of course, estimates.
