I used to be able to use the Veeam Agent software to back up a single physical Server 2019 server but when I went to the Veeam website last week it looks like the Veeam Agent software is no longer able to be used to back up physical servers for free. Is there still a version of the Veeam Agent software or another Veeam product that I can be used to back up a single physical Server 2019 server for free? I need to use a free solution until my organization is able to purchase another Veeam license.
In case you missed, there’s an hole on cheese and multiple vuln are used to bang ransomware into vCenter. Actually not updated VMware vCenter servers are vulnerable to arbitrary file upload leading to remote code execution: For more official info:https://www.vmware.com/security/advisories/VMSA-2021-0020.html
I created a test Backup Copy Job for a test to a new cloud provider, naming the job “provider test”. Now I am switching to that provide and even with a new Copy Job the Server is appearing under the test job name. How can I rename job listed under Backups/Cloud to the new Copy job name?

This may be a head in the clouds idea/thought, but I really wish there were way (and there may be and I just don’t know about it) to link Veeam to Active Directory and stored domain credentials automatically get updated whenever a needed password gets changed or updated due to rotation policies. No more ‘RPC server unavailable’ errors!

We attempted a disaster recovery test for servers backed up at Wasabi and 7 of our 8 servers recovered just fine. We have a decent sized file server (2.4 TB) that won't restore from the capacity tier storage. It gets to the same point each time and fails. We have a support ticket and have attempted some fixes and no luck. We would like to clear out both the performance and capacity tier of this one server so that it can create a new full backup at performance and then send the new backup to wasabi. What is the optimal way to clear this out? Just select this server from that object storage and select delete from disk on that server? Or should I create a new job with this one VM and run it?
Hi,Task is to backup our customers Sharepoint365 to Azure storage.Customer is without on premise solutions except bunch of laptops, no mailboxes are used (mail is hosted elsewhere) , so plan is to use “Veeam backup for MS 365” from Azure marketplace, some blob storage and licenses of course. My question is : if i backup only Sharepoint how much licences do i need?Regards, Drazen
As everybody knows, yesterday Facebook has the biggest outage ever register in the company. Just to be clear it has noted that the problem is about DNS and BGP protocol through the network. So, it wasn't attack. It wasn't ransomware. It wasn't hardware problem. I think that is important to talk about these big problems with IT companies, because is very common hear and see so many fake news about this kind of outage. Here is a good post of CloudFlare about the problem: https://blog.cloudflare.com/october-2021-facebook-outage/

Useing a sobr with aws capacity and archive tiers. Anything is working absolutely fine. Backup ist fine. Offloading is fine. Whats going on:Both sql servers will be renewed. There will be two new sql server. sql1-new and sql2-new (agent already installed) After installation, both new sql servers will useing the same SQL Server Cluster sql-c01 sql1 and sql2 will be turned off.My Accepetion:Should I build a new backup job (clone) or is it possible to keep the existing backup job. bj-sql-01 ?I would manually initiate a Protection Group rescan. The new sql-server should appear in the Protection Group protection-sql the OLD sql server should disappear, because they do not belong to the sql cluster anymore. The existing backup job should recocognize the missing sql Server but will continue backup the
