Backup schedule periodically every n number of minutes/hours is a not customizable. It selects a random time and other jobs takes over the same schedule time with similar schedule. Time periods also of no use as it doesn’t run if a specific time is selected. This should be permitted 24 hours or else the job won’t run. It all depends on the random time selected by the job.It is a disaster that multiple jobs will run at same and throws errors.

Hi all,I finally found time to deploy the most recent version of v13 (final first release) within my lab and I quickly ran into the issue that the Web GUI shows "failed to check for updates" even after I ran through the process and updates the appliance.The host management GUI shows that the system is up-to-date, so I assume that the update was installed successfully - the VSA even rebooted during that process.  I already restarted the VSA (and the whole lab environment tbh) so there can't be any caching issue as far as I can tell. Veeam Support Case is already open. R&D: https://forums.veeam.com/veeam-backup-replication-f2/v13-failed-to-update-but-system-is-up-to-date-t100160.html Any ideas on that? Best regardsLukas

Backing up a postgresql database path on a suse linux enterprise vm, using  Backup Job: Backup → Linux Computer -Error received: 9/10/2025 5:05:53 AM :: Processing suseprod Error: Failed to execute agent management command print. Possible reason: a recent change of hardware could cause the HWID to change as well. Changes i made, i had changed the vm hyperv config version for this vm from 10 to 8, thus changing vm name. I ran this same backup job, got error above, created a brand new backup job/chain  same error, at the manage credentials section i used same root password. This backup worked for me earlier this year and last, but with both success and error due based on reports. Hi,I’m using a GFS tape job to store my backup jobs. It contains 12 monthly and 5 yearly jobs. If I want to show all restore points, I only see until may 2025. All restore points before are not showed. When I’m searching my emails, I’m able to find the tape which contains the not shown backups. On the tape I will find the monthly backup, I’m searching for.I few months ago, I do not know how many, I changed the name of the tape job. He seems to work.What can I do? I’m new using veeam, and our company just decided to use veeam as our backup solution. The 3rd party that setup the backup, is using application oracle agent, so it’s a managed mode as agent was deployed from the VBR.Backup job is running fine, and I saw that it’s using RMAN to backup the database. However, I don’t see a way to modify the RMAN script veeam is using. I have couple of questions:If I want to use recovery catalog, how can I put it in the backup script for the job with veeam managed mode.  How to enable GFS, if I have to retain data for longer term (our requirement is for ex 7 years to retain data)  Is it actually possible to restore from the specific veeam backup files (.vab,.vsm) from RMAN command? I tried to test this to restore specific control file not from the autobackup, as backup information has been deleted from the current control file, but it doesnot able to find it. thank you.

I’m backing up about 30TB of data in my homelab to LTO tape using Veeam 11 CE. Looking at the licensing if I upgrade to Veeam 12 CE then I will be restricted to 5TB of backup, and my jobs will fail. Am I understanding this correctly?ThanksDerek
