I am encountering an issue while attempting to add a storage location in Kasten on AKS Hybrid. The error message states:"Unable to validate profile - We're having trouble determining which namespace k10 is running in, which prevents the profile from being created. It may help to refresh the browser and try again."There kasten setup on AKS Hybrid.

Hello, we are monitoring the customer backups via PRTG.Till now, we had a SQL Skript, wich got the latest result and reported it to PRTG:SELECT latest_result FROM bjobs WHERE name = @prtg;That worked fine with MSSQL Express, but now with PostgreSQL we have to use a PostgreSQL Sensor in PRTG. Thats no problem, but it always failes with: “GSS/SSPI authentication but IntegratedSecurity not enabled” when I try to use the postgres user, or with: 28000: SSPI-Authentication for user Administrator failed”. For debugging I tried to change the access settings in the pg_hba.conf file but nothing seems to work.Is there a way I can still run queries to the config database? Or do I have to go via the PowerShell Snappin from Veeam?PS: We don’t use the Enterprise Manager, because you need the Enterprise Plus license for that and our customers don’t have that license. We have configured our backup copy jobs to execute in a continuous mode and hadn’t any issues until the other day. Ten (out of 100) of our backup copy jobs failed, with the error of “Unable to copy the backup: some backup files are located on an unavailable scale-out repository extent”. Checking the restore points on the source and target repositories, we noticed the restore points (for the most recent backup) for the target repositories were in an incomplete state. We performed the following manual steps to resolve; Disable backup copy job After reviewing the target repository from the backup copy job, the identified servers with the error, have the most recent restore point showing incomplete. Rescan the target repository Then process the incomplete restore points by selecting forget Rescan the target repository Enable backup copy job and executeWe did open a support case and the engineer discovered the issue we experienced stemmed from the backup copy job interfering with the bac
Hi All,Why does Veeam Backup for Azure (Azure Files) have no scheduling option for yearly retention?Is this in some way related to the Azure only allowing up to 200 snapshots on Azure Files? In which case would a feature like we have with VM snapshots being used to create a more traditional backup be worth thinking about if you require longer term archiving? Cheers,
I’m running K10 (v6.0.8) on an OpenShift (4.12.24) cluster with storage backed by NetApp ONTAP and provisioned though Astra Trident. Snapshotting applications (and locally restoring) works fine, but when I tried to export a snapshot to my location profile (NetApp Storage GRID) it fails to export the RestorePoint with "Failed to get snapshot ID from create snapshot output\" (see full output below). Can anyone point me in the right direction where to look further? I’m using NetApp 9.12 just a cifs smb share. I followed the instructions from veeam to create the storage infrastructure for netapp and the subsequent NAS filer. I created a file to tape job to use vss and confirm that the snapshot is being created by veeam on NetApp. I have the virus scanning to exclude the directory based on NetApp’s published kb on excluding snapshots from vscan. I am able to see the secondary cluster in the dashboard but it is getting an error and not showing any detailed information. I am using token authentication and followed the steps for enabling access via the account settings.
I would like to confirm if k10 has such a similar function.This function can verify whether my backup data exists, is complete, and can be restored in the target cluster (resource, quota, and other restrictions)
Since upgrading to V12 VeeamBR (and having to revert to a snapshot due to critical error) I get this on every SOBR tier job. I have rescanned both the hypervs as well as the azure blob then ran tier job now but still get the same error every time Backup file version mismatch: scale-out backup repository rescan is required.
When attempting the restore I get the log into Microsoft with the device code and it connects fine, hit next and veeam errors out saying Failed to open mailbox: gives the name Mailbox does not exist. I can guarantee the mailbox does exist.

Hi,After upgrading too v12, several of our customers get a warning about the Kasten K10 plugin (which has never been installed AFAIK). I received an error message at the end of the upgrade (not blocking) and now we get warnings like :07-03-23 04:00:56 Warning Failed to connect to Kasten K10 plug-in: External platform service 21c55b86-a09c-454b-a751-07b26c4787c4 is not registered. Hello,One of our customers uses VBRv12 on premise with Azure an Repository. They have about 2TB of data backed up locally and via backup copy jobs to an Azure Blob Repo.We were very baffled to notice that at the end of the month, the cost with transactions was matching the cost of the storage.I am looking for an advice on how to optimize the number of transactions other then reducing backup frequency.For a fact we checked his environment and he has 1server per job and 1 backup copy job per production job. I wonder if aggregating all in a single backup copy job towards Azure would address maybe this issue?We are also testing this scenario but to be relevant we need to run it for at least on week so if anyone ran into this please let me know.
