Azure VM Backup Failing

Hi ALL,I am running VBR11 and VBAz 4.0, recently all my AzureVM backup started failing. I still have over 3months of license validity.I can no longer connect to the VBA from my VBR console only can access from the browser.We are getting the following error; "Client secret has expired. Use a valid client secret or renew the application on the Service Account Type tab.This was done however the issue still persists.My Infra is still running older systems so upgrade was not an option hence no support available.Any thoughts?

Changing the temp location for VB&R 12.1

Is there a way to change the temp location that Veeam B&R uses for the console?  We have a script that cleans out the C:\Windows\TEMP directory nightly and when it does, we can no longer launch the VB&R console.  I get an error “Access to the path ‘C:\Windows\TEMP\Veeam\$VeeamUpdates’ is denied”If I create C:\Windows\TEMP\VEEAM I can launch the console. The script is from our management software and I am not sure if changing the system variable will make a difference.  That is why I am asking if there is a way to change it in VB&R itself.Thanks

Unable to open the URL for FLR after updating our Veeam Azure appliance

Hi, we have applied the available security patches and upgraded our Veeam backup Azure version 6 to 7 Yesterday. Since then, we are unable to go to the url that the FLR creates for any of our restore requests using Veeam appliance portal. We have not made any change in Azure or in Veeam side except applying these updates. We have checked and all permission for service accounts are fine, the NSG in Azure clearly shows allowing port 443 for the worker instances vnet /subnet so we cant really think of anything else that could cause this issue. We have raised a support case with Veeam as well and they have asked us to try the worker IP address to browse to the URL that we also tried without any luck: Any advice would be highly appreciated. Veeam backupJobs FAIL becous of The RPC server is unavailable

I have got the following error for  4 different VMs  server’s backup jobs . this is happening for thre consecutive day now6/15/2023 11:34:55 PM :: Task failed. Failed to expand object RDS09. Error: The RPC server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA)   any solution , suggestion? I really appreciate your help and Thanks in advance.

Licença veeam 9.5.4 socket in Veeam 11

Estou fazendo uma atualização no meu ambiente, e estou atualizando meu veeam 9.5.4 para o veeam 11 que é o que meu hypervisor suporta, tenho uma licença por socket e lendo a documentação encontrei que as licenças até o veeam 10 são bloqueadas por versão e que eu teria que baixar a versão mais atual da licença para conseguir colocar em meu veeam 11, porém quando acesso o portal não encontro essa opção de download, o meu suporte está expirado seria algo relacionado a esse suporte expirado ? ou existe outra forma de fazer este download ? I'm doing an update in my environment, and I'm updating my Veeam 9.5.4 to Veeam 11 which is what my hypervisor supports, I have a socket license and reading the documentation I found that licenses up to Veeam 10 are blocked by version and that I would have to download the most current version of the license to be able to put it on my Veeam 11, but when I access the portal I don't find this download option, my support is expired would it be something relat

Invalid mail credentials

Hi all, At the end of the job it does not send the email because it cannot find the credentials:  When entering options to modify them I am getting the following error report And I can't do anything else, since clicking ok on the notice doesn't do anything else.Any idea? Thank you so much.

Veeam Ports - for Backup jobs between Windows Computer and VB&R 12.1

Good day, I know this topic was mentioned, well actually a popular one to say the least. I was introduced to using the Port Finder tool in this forum, a very sweet interface, but it is a bit cumbersome to use.  I just need someone to simply provide the standard port numbers to enable in windows firewall for Veeam B&R 12. I clearly get the application group, but source and target service? please explainI just need port numbers to just enable quickly For:Backup Jobs and/or replication jobs communications between Hyper V Server comprising windows and linux vms Backup Proxy communication.That is all. I dont want to keep my windows firewall domain profile off indefinitely lol.  Does it mean that no one knows the actual port numbers directly.

Failed to connect to ADMIN$ on local server

Hi all. Running Windows Server 2019 as a standalone Hyper-V server. The server is in a workgroup.I have installed the community edition of VBR 12, and configured my backup repository.When trying to configure a new Hyper-V backup job, Veeam gives me a message to say that it cannot connect to the ADMIN$ share. However, if I type \\localhost\ADMIN$ into the run box, then the folder does open.I’ve tried setting my host name to localhost, to the server name and to it’s IP address. I’ve also tried with the current logged in credentials, and have tried by enabling the administrator account.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks, and have a great weekend!

Replication from Workgroup to Domain (Microsoft Hyper-V)

Good morning.I have VBR community edition installed on a Hyper-V standalone workgroup server.I would like to be able to set up replication to a Hyper-V cluster in my domain.Is this possible at all, and if so, is there a document that I could follow in order to configure this?Thank you.

Restore VM to Cloud Director

I need to restore a VM to a vApp in VMware Cloud Director.  The Veeam docs say to “Launch VMware Cloud Director Entire VM Restore Wizard”. When I right click on the Backup that I need to restore, “Restore entire VM >” does not appear in the Context menu as it shows in the Veeam docs.I see “Restore entire VM to Nutanix AHV...”, but not the “Restore entire VM >” as shown in the Veeam docs.I am using Veeam 12.1.1.56 Community Edition, in case that matters.Any help is much appreciated.

Hello,I will use tape for veeam backup in next year, and i also have policy to moving out old backup more than 3 month to other location. With this scenario, should i make media pool for each months?Example create:media pool for January with 2 cartridges media pool for Feb with 2 cartridges, etc?

Getting general exception when sending test email using microsoft modern authentication

Hello - I am running Veaam Backup and Replication V.12 and am attempting to configure email notifications using Microsoft 365 modern authentication. I authorized the connection via the MSFT 365 signin dialogue and when complete I can see the indicator that the token is valid, but when I send a test email I get a general exception error message (see screenshot). The error doesn’t give allot to go on, has anyone else seen this and can recommend a solution?

Network path not found incorrect credentials supplied - Veeam 12

Hyper V environment-Active Directory/DomainVeeam 12 is on VM1 on my domain pcBackup repository is a VM2 on a hyper v host1We have a firewall doing what firewalls do etcVM1 successfully added VM2(veeam backup repository) The problem:Tried adding a windows server VM3 to VM1(located on hyper v host2) - I get the network path & credentials error Tried adding a veeamproxy machine VM4 to VM1 - I get the network path & credentials errorThe AD admin user account used in above attempts works perfectly on all computers in my LANI used same ad admin account that I used to add VM2 to VM1(now listed in veeam as a valid AD account) for VM3 & VM4There is solid communication between VM1 and other servers, confirmed via icmp/pingsI have other hyper v hosts and dont want to be testing this on all of themWhat is going on here, is this a firewall issue? if so, what specific ports (you have a table full of ports) must be opened for your application and where should I focus these changes/policie

How to copy *.vib and *.vbk job from disk to tape

Need to release space from disk and copy all Veeam jobs to tape. We can then delete all jobs from disk and extend the space. What process can we use in Veeam so that all jobs are in tape and jobs can be deleted from disk.

How do you store AWS backups on-prem?

I just did a basic setup of AWS backups in Veeam Backup and Rep.  As far as I can see, it’s basically just creating snapshots in AWS, which is almost useless because that isn’t a real backup.We want the AWS backups stored in our on-prem repository, just as our vSphere backups are.  How do we do get it store the backups in our on-prem repository rather than in AWS?

Unable to delete VEEAM from registry at all

Few months ago I have installed Veeam 12.0 community edition in my PC. Later now few days before I received an update notification for 12.1. After downloading the ISO file and trying to open the setup.exe I got the error “Unable to access the disk: access denied” like that. So I decided to uninstall the current veeam and then go for a fresh install. At that time it didnt let me to uninstall even. So I manually deleted all the folders and registry entries entirely from the system except these keys which are in the picture right now. Whatever I do these entries are never going off.

Removing Unavailable Backup Repository

Edition = latest edition of Veeam Community Edition -I successfully right-mouse click the menu area and enabled Home so that Backup Jobs are visible in Community Edition.-I then successfully created a backup job using local administrator as Veeam Community Edition will only run the backup job with local administrator not any other local user with administrator permissions.-I then successfully completed a backup.-Initially, I was using Backup1 as the backup repository. I then went on to use another backup repository of Backup2. I have completed backups using Backup2 and want to remove the backup repository of Backup1. It shows Backup1 as unavailable which is correct. When I right-mouse click to remove Backup1, it says: “Backup1 is used for configuration backup. Open configuration backup settings and choose another backup repository first.”I do not see any menu option or area that defines Configuration Backup Settings. Where is it?

No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused

Just installed brand new Widnows 10 VM, installed 12.1 veeam backup and replication but what ever I do this does not work.  Checked and all services are running  any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Veeam backup service not start

I have a problem with starting the service The power supply cuts more than two hours after the power goes back on, the server starts working. Then the date of taking the backup is not taken and when the connection veeam work appears "failed to connect to veeam backup & replication server" After this start veeam services & start SQL serves are done manually after this is done naturally. please help.thanks regard
