Backup copy RPO violation

After moving from v12 to v13 we have started seeing:

Backup copy RPO violation: [server] was not copied within 165 days 23 hours 6 minutes

These seem to occur at semi-regular intervals to VM’s residing on a Proxmox server, maybe every

14 days. What is odd is regular backups and offsite copies run daily and without error, even these jobs

reporting RPO violations. Just in case, when these errors popup we run an active full and a copy. We

run tests to ensure they are working and can be restored.

Any ideas why the error is occurring?

The only thing I can think of to check is in the Advanced Job settings under the Target section.  If that seems good, then I would suggest a support case, as it could be stale data in the database causing this issue.

Our RPO monitor settings look just like your screenshot.Looking at the backup job that produced the warning, it began at 1:15AM and finished at 2:30AM. So it’s not taking longer than a day, and it is not crossing over from one day to another. The jobs never fail, they just pop this warning. Looking at the job histories the warnings pop every 7 days, which is the Retention policy #days setting. We do have ‘Read the entire restore point from source’ checked as well as Keep 1 weekly for archival purposes set.

Yeah, unsure if those extra settings are causing this so a support ticket is the best route to go to get to the bottom of the issue.
