Perhaps the Service Provider section of the R&D Forums is a better place to ask, but I figured I’d check here to see if anyone has an easy button for resetting MFA on an AD login specified by AD group for an Admin in the Service Provider Console. I reloaded my phone and the Duo app didn’t import my 3rd party MFA logins. Fortunately, I have other admin logins I can use.So far what I’ve gotten is that you have to apparently use the REST API (which seems silly to me if that’s the case, feature request coming up…..) because the user only exists in an AD group that was specified for access. While I’m not great with API’s, the the Swagger UI should make things easier. That said, I haven’t yet figured out how to authenticate with Swagger using an account that has MFA enabled. I might be able to get it once I get past that hump. I was hoping that if I disabled the MFA requirements, I could log in and reset MFA from the user access, but it appears to prompt for MFA once enrolled even if
Hi all,Relatively new to the community; been working with Veeam a while now, though!After finally sorting some bits out, I’ve built out a home lab to play with Veeam, but also use my own data as a way to gather experience about day-to-day use of Veeam (I am an architect, so naturally, I never touch the product in anger 🙄 - hoping to fixing that!)I’m loosely aware that the Veeam for Mac agent is relatively new, so while I understand there will be bugs, my current experience has been fairly frustrating (I don't want to treat this as a support-request post, so wont go into specifics). HelloI have 4 VM on 4 different physical servers with Veeam Backup&Replication community edition v12.1.56.In my system, I have a VM under debian 12 which is used as Postfix SMTP relay for all my servers. Internally, everything goes through port 25 and all my servers send mail to this relay without identification or password. The relay then sends everything to my dedicated office365 mailbox.In less than 1 day, 2 of my Veeam VMs stopped sending me mail.So every time I run the test mail, I get the message: Unable to connect to SMTP server because of invalid credentials or connection settings.I've compared the smtp configuration with that of the 2 servers that are still working, apparently I haven't seen any anomalies and everything is identical. I have a Veeam instance on the google cloud using there deployment which I'm using to backup some instances to a bucket. I want to be able to backup my on prem servers to the same bucket. is it possible to connect the servers to the Veeam google instance? Do i need to install an agent to be able to do this? or can I just point the instance to my on prem servers?
Hello,I am encountering a warning on my Veeam backups that Veeam "Cannot find EFI boot manager entry for EFI System Partition". The backups are otherwise successful.I am running Manjaro Linux, which I realize is not formally supported. I used Veeam successfully some time ago without issues, experimented with other backup solutions for a while, then came back to Veeam because honestly nothing works as well or as simply as it does. The last time I used Veeam, I was running a 5.x version, and I’ve since started using 6.1.0.1498.Here is some more detailed information about my issue:Specific Problem: When performing a Full System backup, Veeam will complain that it "Cannot find EFI boot manager entry for EFI System Partition GUID” followed by the GUID of my system’s EFI partition. Hey guys,I have the same random problem with my Proxies (Windows), VMDK are still attached to my proxies randomly once the job finish. The proxies are not backuped during the different backup jobs. The Vms that Veeam processed is found to require consolidation.On the vmware side I found a log " Unable to access file since it is locked An error occurred while consolidating disks: Failed to lock the file. Consolidation failed for disk node 'scsi0:0': Failed to lock the file." at the end of the backup job.But I don’t find the root cause. Have any of you ever encountered this problem?

I’ve recently gone through the process of upgrading my Veeam implementation from v11 to v12. Everything has upgraded correctly and I’ve even managed to get a hardened repository server upgraded successfully. My problem is that although all configured jobs are quite happily running and successfully completing under v12, the physical Veeam server running as an agent backup job fails. This was working previously before the upgrade. Is there any solution to this issue.

Hi, We have installed kasten helm charts via Rancher. Now I am trying to resize the catalog pvc, but cannot do it in rancher as will over write when new version helm chart is deployed..In App yaml file all I see is a resource “catalog-pv-claim” is created but no size is mentioned, I can’t find where the actual size is mentioned. May I know where in rancher config yaml we need to update the size of catalog pvc so that the volume can be expanded.the parameter “global.persistence.catalog.size” is left default in app configRegards,Raj
Hello Team, I have recently upgraded Veeam Enterprise Manager to 12.1.1.56, upgrade is successfully however now am unable to open Veeam EA or Veeam self service restore browser. tried clearing cookies, rebooted Veeam EA however issue still persists.
After a power failure a VM on vSphere 8 couldn’t be started. We have Veeam pushing a couple of Nutanix clusters. Jobs are split between the clusters and Nutanix is replicating between the two clusters so if one goes down…Issue that we’re seeing is when Veeam is backing up a server, snaps are being created to do the backup. Replication between the two Nutanix clusters is seeing the snap and replicating it to the second node. Since the snap doesn’t have a retention set, Nutanix is setting the snaps for 60 day retention. When we’re starting to deal with file servers north of 20tb, this becomes and issue. Is there anyway to force Veeam to set a short retention on snaps or is this something Nutanix should address?Thanks in advance.

hi,I’m trying to do migration from openshift to eks, there were some steps that i have already passed such as backup, export and import to destination cluster on eks, but when I tried to do restore to eksi got an error issue “Cluster does not support restoring DeploymentConfigs”, I tried to use transnform set to change some parameters on deploymentconfigs but it still didn’t work any solution for this issue ? I’ve installed and configured the Veeam MS SQL agent on a MS SQL Server 2022 instance. During the DB backup setup, I can’t select object based repository or my SOBR. What is the best way to transition MS SQL backups to S3? Replication jobs only allow VMs. The Backup Copy and Copy Job only show local repositories.
Running VBR v12.0. Created a backup job. Ran the job and got an error so went back in and try to edit the job. I got the error below. First time, I encountered this error. The backup log just showed the same information. I have a similar job running in our “staging” VBR but not having any error. The backup job is a storage snapshot and does handle SQL transaction logging. I saw in the Veeam’s Forum the same error message but this was for a backup copy job. What do you think is happening here?
