Hello, I install VBR on the DR site and in the job i can see this message‘1/2/2025 2:47:59 AM :: No available proxies are running on ESXi management interface subnet. Using proxies from a different subnet, performance may be impacted  ‘Some one can help me to make more understanding about that message, how we can improve the performance?

Hello everyone,We have Veeam integrated with vCenter in our environment. There were no issues when adding the vCenter, but occasionally, the host discovery fails with the following error:"Disks and volumes discovery failed. Error: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or the established connection failed because the connected host has failed to respond."Environment details:Backup Server OS: Windows Server 2022 vCenter Port: 442 is open vCenter Version: 7.0.3Has anyone faced this issue? Any suggestions on how to resolve it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I am using Veeam B&R community edition for testing purposes on a Proxmox cluster. After accidentaly deleted a backup file, I have restored from Backblaze cloud personal and imported in VBR, but restore fails with error Failed to reload metadata bank. Declared and actual CRC are different for all bank snapshots. Failed to open storage for read access. Storage: [Nextcloud Backup_2024-12-23T030148.vbk]. Failed to restore file from local backup. VFS link: [summary.xml]. Target file: [MemFs://frontend::CDataTransferCommandSet::RestoreText_{e8606f0a-02b4-4e7b-bd8b-5b0fd8bd3615}]. CHMOD mask: [614]. Agent failed to process method {DataTransfer.RestoreText}. Agent failed to process method {DataTransfer.RestoreText}.I use Backblaze for offsite backup and if fails it should be a big problem. Thank you

Hi Team, Are we going to get the learning paths with badges here (like kubeacademy)

Just installed Veeam free edition on Dell Optiplex 5060 desktop running Linux Mint Mate 22.  Have several years’ experience with Veeam on older versions of this OS, and Veeam setup and a couple of test backups appeared familiar.  I did notice that the new backups ran for 10 minutes or so- less than half the run time in the old OS.  IIRC those Veeam instances were v.5.x and older, the new one is 6.3.0.73.  The volume of saved data is the same and Veeam has always been set to do a bare-metal backup. Has there been a change to Veeam that would explain this difference?

I want to install kasten k10 on arm64 OS, but I don’t know it if supports? and I did not find the K10 arm installation package.

Hi All,Because network topology, our veeam have to backup server fram on different site  ,our backup proxy、gateway server、vc on the other site and veeam on another site, all have manage ip can be access , a user  would like to inquire if it is possible to provide them with backup lab in addition to veeam, when the backup job starts, they use backup lan to perform backups instead of managing lan?

Hi everyone,How does a worker instance deployed in a “production account” access a S3 bucket repository in the “backup account” if there is no S3 bucket policy, cross-account IAM roles, etc. in place? Not sure if this is relevant but I’ve shared a VPC subnet between the production and backup accounts for the worker instances to use. I’m using the Veeam provided IAM roles for the backup appliance (vaws1-VeeamImpersonationRoleV1-XXXXXXXXX) and worker instances (VeeamInstanceBackupRestoreAccessRoleV1-XXXXXXXXX). What am I missing here? Thanks!Steve

When trying to deploy the worker instance to another account and in the North Virginia region, the error Processing instance failed: Cannot find any IAM instance profiles associated with IAM role arn:aws:iam::accountnumber:role/VeeamWorkerRoleis being displayed. We have already validated communication with the endpoints and egress and ingress rules in the security group on port 443 and it is ok.The roles and permissions as well as the Worker profile are also correct.Has anyone experienced this problem? Thanks.Cláudio Hipólito

Hello,I just read this solved topicIt’s very similar to my case but it doesn’t resolve it…The wizzard can connect to my proxmox node with root account, I validate the host key, it get storage information but when I click on “apply” at the end of the process :  I try to check in the server log but I can’t see anything significant. In the topic I have linked, it talk about checking logs, can you tel me precisely wich log I can see ?I check on the promox node with journalctl and in /var/log but maybe I’ve missed something ?On the windows veeam B&R server, nothing in the event viewer … The other post solution is to remove MFA from root account, is there an other place to do it than on the proxmox web ui ? Thanks for your help

Hello,I’m using Ubuntu 24.04 and I would like to know how do you configure firewall on this system to allow only required port please ? If my research are correct, I could see I need only 22 + 6160 + 6162 port open and Veeam open the others when neededI think I understand the commands are differents if you setup it before you add it as managed server or after. Could you provide me both solution please ?  Thanks for your help

Hi All, I want to know Veeam to backup Nutanixby deploy more than one workers, can it choose which worker backup which host's VM for the backup job?

Simple one this, where is the feature comparison showing VDP ESSENTIALS, against the foundation, advanced, and premium? What features am I getting in essentials vs those enterprise grade versions basically? It matters because I’m watching the whats new webinar and there is a feature comparison going on but no mention of essentials? Thanks in advance!

Hello,I will implement Veeam Data Cloud for back up our M365 services such as exchange, onedrive, sharepoint and ms.team and the daily operational will be handled by our backup administrator.I have concern when we backup exchange mailbox, the backup administrator can ‘peek’ all the contents of the mailbox for all users. So can we have separate administrator for daily backup and prevent this user to ‘peek the inbox and in same time assign special user who can restore the mailbox? It’s no problem for this special user can peek’ the mailbox, the special user maybe can our CTO.

Hi everyone, I’m trying to resize the Veeam console, but the smallest size that I have still big, I can’t get is smaller than the screenshot bellow.Does anyone knows how to reduce even more the console big?Thank YOU

Hi HOL Group,A few weeks ago, I faced some issues during the Veeam Recovery Orchestrator e Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, at this moment, I don’t have any screenshot to share, but I can reproduce the issue.I wuld like to know how to deal with the issues, should I just post the issue here?Thank you guys.

Good day, I know this topic was mentioned, well actually a popular one to say the least. I was introduced to using the Port Finder tool in this forum, a very sweet interface, but it is a bit cumbersome to use.  I just need someone to simply provide the standard port numbers to enable in windows firewall for Veeam B&R 12. I clearly get the application group, but source and target service? please explainI just need port numbers to just enable quickly For:Backup Jobs and/or replication jobs communications between Hyper V Server comprising windows and linux vms Backup Proxy communication. That is all. I dont want to keep my windows firewall domain profile off indefinitely lol.  Does it mean that no one knows the actual port numbers directly.

hello, thanks, i am running out of space on a linux server that i use for backup copy jobs.i am not sure the ways to free space without creating a nightmare…by way of example, this is the setting for a backup copy jobwhat would happen if i changed the retention policy from 30 days to 7 days?not sure i really need 30 days, as this is in addition to the main backup policyi would assume that veeam will not delete the older .vib files from day 8 to 30, correct?so i think i need to manually prune those older .vib files?but not wanting to affect veeam ability about keeping certain full backups longer for archival purposes.please, any advise at all about that setup or if any additional information is needed?thanks, david

Hello, Trying to use Veeam to do ProxMox backups, I was able to add 1 host from the cluster, and deploy a worker to it, but when I go to add the second host, it tells me that its already added, but its not in the list and VMs from the other hosts are not showing up.I tried via IP or DNS name and results are same, it says:“Failed to register cluster. The Proxmox VE node 192.168.1.226 has already been added to the backup infrastructure”but its not there, see below (the 192.168.1.225 is the first host in cluster and there are 2 more .226, .227. What am I doing wrong here ? The documentation said to add each host individually from the cluster:  Important If you want to add a Proxmox VE cluster to the backup infrastructure, consider the following: Each node of the cluster must be added to the backup infrastructure separately. The name of the cluster must not be changed in the Proxmox VE administration portal after you add it to the backup infrastructure.

Dear Community,Good morning.I hope this message finds you well. I have noticed that in Veeam ONE, there does not appear to be a specific reporting feature related to Transaction Log reports. If such a feature exists, I would greatly appreciate it if you could guide me on where to find it.Thank you in advance for your assistance and guidance.

Hi, I recently upgraded to the most recent version of B&R community edition and I think as part of that process, one of my Windows PC did not failed to update its Agent properly.  Now, that Windows PC always shows up as offline and when I try to reinstall/update Agent from the console, I get “6/22/2024 5:19:43 PM Warning Failed to connect to MyPC Details: Failed to call RPC function 'PckgFind': Unknown property.” I know that PC is on and has network connection.  Is there a way for me to manually reinstall the Agent on that PC?  If so, where can I find the installation files?   Thank you!
