How to import file copy job backups into a new server

Hello,I was using a server to perform file folder backups from another server. Unfortunately, that server has broken down, and I have now installed Veeam Backup & Replication on a new server. I need to import backups that were created with a file copy job from the old server.Could anyone guide me on how to proceed with importing these file copy job backups into the new installation?Thank you

How to implement my backup goals - home/personal data?

Hello!I am new here, hope you don't mind my ignorance!!I am looking for some detailed steps/instructions to implement and achieve my data backup goals for a personal/home based setting. I Have quite a few kinds of devices in my home. couple of windows laptops, couple of iPads, couple of iPhones, an android phone, may be a macbook pro in the future. I don't find it practical to connect separate USB external hard disks to each of these devices to back them up. So, what i am thinking to achieve instead is - if all of these devices can connect to a NAS, use one big drive say 6/8 TB and create individual folders to create separate backups of each of the devices, that is the ideal solution i am looking for. I haven't decided yet on what model of NAS do i need. Any recommendations welcome! I am planning to use this NAS device just for backing up my multiple devices in one place. I am not looking for active file sharing among the different devices. Also create a backup of the 6/8 TB NA

Posted in the forums here - so if there isn’t currently a way to have active/active, active/standby etc configuration for EM, what have folks been doing for distributed deployments? The primary goal here is to have a DR site come online as quickly as possible and for EM to have the highest availability one can offer.

Veeam 12.1 Community Edition running on Windows Server 2022 Standard.The host is Hyper-V.  The repository is on a QNap.  This is a new installation.  I’m getting the following error when backing up a VM:Error: Failed to call RPC function 'FclsExists': The user name or password is incorrect The passwords for the repository and Hyper-V host are both confirmed good, as I was able to add, remove, and add them, again, to Veeam.  Thanks, Chris

Restoring all domain controllers in a Windows domain (on vmware)

Hi all.  There is the possibility that this weekend I might need to restore all of our domain controllers in our domain (hopefully this does not come to pass).  It is not a very active AD domain so hopefully but I might have to go back about 3 weeks to get around a problem.Can someone point me to documentation as to how to do this from within Veeam with all the DCs down?  This would mean that no dns resolution will be happening (do I have to create a hosts file on the Veeam server to get around this?).Another hiccup is that for one of the DCs, I notice now that application aware processing has not been turned on so it is going to be restored as just a member server without any special processing for the AD database.Thanks.

Forgive me, as this isn’t strictly a Veeam topic, but I’m pulling my hair out.I’m trying to enhance a Windows Update Powershell script. The current script occasionally hangs when we invoke a COM CreateUpdateSearcher() method.$updateSession = new-object -com "Microsoft.Update.Session"$Criteria = "IsInstalled=0"$updates = $updateSession.CreateupdateSearcher().Search($criteria).UpdatesThis runs synchronously, so I can’t trap the hang. Instead, I want to use the BeginSearch() method that runs asynch (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/wuapi/nf-wuapi-iupdatesearcher-beginsearch). My problem is it requires an ‘IUnknown ISearchCompletedCallback’ object to be passed as one of the parameters.
