Virtual lab supports maximum of 9 networks

@De Cock I’ll put @jos.maliepaard in this conversation. He was the person who said you could exceed this limit using commandline. But as @MicoolPaul mentioned, it seems to be a VMWare limitation, so I’m afraid if Veeam could exceed this.

VHR iso availability

As Chris mentioned, a new version is in the works. Depending on approval of DISA-STIG for a more recent Ubuntu release. Also some tweaks glitches and bugs need to be ironed out. (eg. the following case:) Maybe @HannesK could give us a timeframe ?

Logs for VM backup completed with warnings

By clicking on the details of the VM in VBR you can see specific warnings about that VM. Otherwise the logfiles of the jobs are available in their standard location: c:\programdata\veeam\backup\ there you’ll find a directory with the name of the job. In this directory you’ll find the detailed logs about that job and also errors / warnings if present. Most interesting will be the log file starting with the name Job.xxxxx

Extract data from backup in S3 Object storage created by Windows endpoint backup

Hi Chris, Thanks for your response. In the meanwhile, I figured out a solution. I’ve added the object storage as Wasabi, since it was Wasabi storage. And this gave the error of the missing folder. I removed the object storage from the VBR inventory and re-added is as generic S3 compatible storage.This went flawless and I’m able to access the backup. So it seems there are some differences between the Wasabi implementation and the regular S3 compatible implementation imho.

Surebackup scan mode only with backup schedule

Since the scanning job will mount the disks to perform the scan, the backupfile is locked by this process. Therefore it’ll not be possible to create an new backup in the chain during this backup I guess.

M365 mailbox Backup source (M365) slowness?

One of our previous engineers has set the mailbox job to be backed up every hour. Is this ideal? How often are you backing up the mailbox users? Why should you do this every hour ? Only to keep mails / files in backup that are placed and removed within a regular 24h backup schedule. So you have to think if it’s beneficial to have these files in backup, given the fact these are less important files / mails. I’ve seen cases with the same frequency and the result was that evey promotional mail / spam / … was taken into backup before the end-user could judge and delete them. This resulted in huge storage cost at no use.

Il est préférable de remplacer les étiquettes existantes par des étiquettes avec un code-barres.L'inventaire d'une bibliothèque de bandes sans lecteur de codes-barres prend beaucoup de temps, chaque bande devant être placée dans le lecteur et lue. Avec des lecteurs de codes-barres, un inventaire devrait être réalisé en moins de 2 minutes. Cela peut être une indication de la présence ou non d'un lecteur de code-barres dans votre bibliothèque.

Question to recent VMCA exam takers: The exam is still based on V11 ? I’ve checked Rasmus’ videos and he was talking about the unability to backup direct to object storage. True… until V12. This makes it quite hard to study for the exam based on V12 helpcenter and day to day experience….
