Veeam released V7a of VB365 just recently (Dec 5th, 2023).

https://forums.veeam.com/veeam-backup-for-microsoft-365-f47/current-version-is-1-0-0-860-ga-t39185.html

The KB for the patches to 7.0 has all the changes of 7.0.x: https://www.veeam.com/kb4425

With a new major release (e.g. V7) we get the changes within the “what’s new” document: https://www.veeam.com/veeam_backup_m365_7_0_whats_new_wn.pdf

There does not seem to be a “what’s new” document for 7a (7.1.x). Here I can only find the full release notes which makes it kind of hard to determine changes.

Did anyone find the specific changes within 7a already?

Morning! I too wondered this and asked the question to a colleague who sent me this:

What's new in v7a? - R&D Forums (veeam.com)

🙂 mainly a compatibility release with 1x new feature.

Thanks, @MicoolPaul. RD forums once again keeps hints to almost every aspect of life... 😉

Still I would find it of some help to have a proper change log. Even if it is empty or has the remark that it is a compatibility release. “7a” at least sounds kind of major otherwise, as we e.g. are impatiently waiting for some features.

Don’t forget to have a look at KB4527 https://www.veeam.com/kb4527

We see a lot of customers facing the described problem.

100% agree that it sounds like a major build. Maybe it’s just our expectations after v6a introduced teams chat backup via API

Nice to know what this release is for as we have not moved to 7.1 just yet (still need to test 😖)
