So, I’m going to be working on rebuilding our repos to be Linux repos to leverage the new security in V11.If you were going to build a repo for 15 TB drives running on VSphere 6.7. Ubuntu. These will provide back up copies to 5 customers each. I can look at what the specs are but I want to know what you all think. Thanks all :)

Hello all,I’m trying to determine if Veeam B&R supports the IBM FlashSystem A9000 Storage for Storage Integration.  The Add Storage wizard only lists IBM Spectrum Virtualize and the Get Plug-in webpage doesn’t list any other IBM storage plug-ins.  Does anyone have any experience with this?  Thanks 

Hi, A feature I think would be great is to enable the Veeam vSphere plugin without requiring Enterprise Manager. Now we are on HTML5 people are looking for the “single pane of glass” experience. It would be great to see Veeam Protection information polled straight from Veeam B&R. Currently the enterprise manager requirement can put extra burden on infrastructures using default SQL Express for example.

Hello Veeam Community, What is the trend for you to build a good repository for a large company? I’m investigating for 2021 to replace our dedup appliance, i really like the HPE Apolo Gen10 to store veeeam data on xfs!One node full HDD 50k~ 960TB, 512 gb ram, 4*25gb, xeonOne node full SSD 250k ~ 600 TB, 512 gb ram, 4*25gb, xeonThe second is expansive but could be usefull for application but very low RTO and instant Recovery DB! I want to build something focus about restore, we’r no more dupe with xfs :)

Hello everyone,wouldn’t it be nice if we could see the duration of every backup job inside the Veeam Service Provider Console?I am pretty sure I could see this kind of information before in the following view, when the tool was still called Veeam Availability Console.I guess this is a feature that has been removed.What do you think? Daniele

Morning Guys, So like a lot of you we’ve been playing with Veeam Backup for Office 365 v5 and deploying the updates on our services and for our customers, we’re catching a bug fairly frequently that is having major consequences. The Veeam Repository isn’t able to upgrade, which is a requirement for the subsequent backups to run, causing immediate backup issues. We’ve engaged with Veeam support and been informed that there’s a hotfix, but that hotfix has also caused issues it appears and jobs are still failing to run. Just wanted to advise prior to everyone upgrading their productions, it might be worth waiting for a few more days… Thanks!

Here in South America is very common to find deduplication appliance without / with integration as primary backup repository...I would like to know what you think … 

 Hi all i have Problem to Connect Veeam to SharePoint Server to Restore Collection Site !i have Microsoft Hyper-V Are content:Windwows Server 2016 is Domain Conttrol and windows server 2016 is sharepoint 2016and Windows Server 2016 is Sql 2017 and veeam Server 9.5 u4 hosting at windows server 2016when i try to restore site collection appear falied to connect sharepoint server

Any talk of adding this to config backup function? I know to add a file copy job for config db backups but an unnecessary step I think and always the risk of forgetting this?

New exciting features have been announced for upcoming version 11: CDP, Linux Proxy, etc…Customers quite often ask when a HTML Veeam console will be availbale...Once VBR has been upgraded, latest console is immediately available to be used and no need to install/update the console in every admin’s computer…Do we really need a HTML console for our daily duties?Maybe we don’t need it but it would be a nice feature to have...What do you think? 

Currently Cloud Connect doesn’t support direct backup CIFS share to this repository. Currently my workaround is;CIFS share > robo copy local > Veeam agent backup to Cloud Connect Is there an alternative? And will CIFS share backup will be supported in the near future directly to an Cloud Connect repository?

Hello all,I see in Veeam 10 that the notification email for backup job change and now include the backup job linked.Exemple :[Failed] Backup Copy Job 00-HyperV\Backup Job 00-HYPERV (2 machines) There is a way  to remove \Backup Job 00-HYPERV ?We have scripts which read mail to make​ globals reports​ and this make confusion. Thanks for helpHave a good day​​​​​

I spend some time in searching for a way to export job/task log as it is shown in VBR GUI:I found ways to export all logs in detail, but not these are displayed in GUI. Helpful would be PowerShell, API, Rest, or anything else that works.Not to be misunderstood: I do not need the job/task status, I need the logs. Thanks!

Hello everyone,In our company due to bad practices, some application integrators was using vmware snapshot before doing applications deployments on legacy part (no more needed with openshift). Obviously they often forgot to remove snapshot or maintain snapshot cauz they’re waiting answer from project team.We replaced this hijacked habit and provide to integrator/devops the possibility to launch quickbackup in the first time. It was not enough for stagging part and we had to provide capability to create veeam zip with one year retention (yes i know it’s bad...) .  We did awx roles for this too because they wre missing the vmware snapshot comment…I’m curious to hear if other people have encountered a similar situation :)

Hello Veeamor / Veeamers :D!I want to inventory and classify, what kind of data is backuped and store with veeam.I was thinking to use excellent work from @benyoung with dataintegration but i will have performance issue.If i have to request 5000VMS+ and mount all vmdk with then process all data, it could be too long. After data gathering, i’m pushing it with python to elasticsearch (ML incoming on it). What is your suggestion about it? Maybe i’m going to the wrong path ! Have a good friday everyone!
