I’m looking at my Veeam B&R and all of my VMs show backed up and they even show restore points.  You can see from the attached pic that my VM has 10 restore points.  I’ve even done a restore from one of the restore points and it is in fact the VM from 5 days ago. Now, in Veeam ONE, when I look at my protected VMs report, I see zero VMs as protected no matter what time frame I select.  My “other” reports that I run look accurate, but my protected VM report literally shows all of my VMs as unprotected, meaning no backups or no restore points for the RPO.  It sure seems like I’m missing something.  Only just now looking at reporting so hoping for some guidance here. Thank you 

Can’t find an exact answer to this scenario. Is it possible to run a Linux vm (Ubuntu) on a synology (via VMM), and expose (or give access to) the underlying storage to the vm so that we can use the immutable feature?example:1: 40tb storage in one volume2: ubuntu vm having access to that storage somehow (I’m unfamiliar with vms aim synology)3: somehow configuring the veeam server to point to the Ubuntu vm storage so that it can use immutability

Hi everyone, Did you know it’s possible to access the full desktop editor from a mobile device? I don’t know why all the options are hidden by default but it’s really easy to get them back. All you need to do is change your zoom settings on your web browser. I’ve only tested this in iOS but check my GIF below and you’ll see all the cool options appear when I hit 50% zoom.Want to return to the mobile optimised editor? Just increase your zoom level back to default and everything will return to normal! You can do this dynamically whilst making your post, no need to refresh the page each time!

Design question, how to not overload the firewall.Customer has a physical B&R server on LAN1, and a physical Linux Hardened Repo on LAN1.They also have like 100 Physical servers on LAN2, 3 and 4.Traffic goes through the firewall obviously, and the fear is that it will overload it, affecting production.Since we can’t use Proxy Servers for Agent backups (no such thing apparently), how can I avoid pulling the traffic through the Firewall?The B&R Server and LHR are 10Gbit and use tagged VLANs, so I can quite simply add VLAN2,3,4 to the VLAN trunk and give them a link into the Agent VLANs. Will that work? Do I need to add both the B&R server and the LHR, or just the LHR? Can an LHR have several IP’s like that and still work?  Will the traffic go from the agent directly to the LHR or via the B&R server?Other ideas welcome...Thanks!

Hi, Microsoft have a service alert for SharePoint Online. If you’re doing everything right, odds are you’re using modern auth for your Microsoft 365 backups, in which case, you’re using the Graph API. In this scenario, you may find you’re getting “Access Denied” errors in your backups, or even in your BAU processes. If so you want to check out SP381039. The latest information is some authentication components are missing for certain environments causing the failure. Looking for something that should be all over the place on a community support forum (based on 30+ years of working in this industry), and not finding it on this site -- namely, where is there a good-quality support forum for basic setup and troubleshooting issues?  Specifically backup for Office 365 v5. Don’t want to get into a long description of the issue(s), ‘cause this doesn’t look like the place.  Also -- search  functions?

One of my clients uses Veeam B&R for backing up 43 VMs.  It’s working great. Now I’m being asked for a report on each VM, how often it’s backed up, how many restore points are kept and for how long we keep the backup of the VM. As I am new to ONE reporting, I’m hoping someone here can tell me what report I need from the canned reports or whether or not I need to create a custom report, and maybe how. Thank you! NVM...I figured it out.  Pretty sweet reporting tools in ONE.

This week at VeeamON we will get a lot of information about VBR’s v12 new capabilities to use Object Storage as primary backup target. For many customers this is most often the use case of Object Storage: Backup. But not all are of this opinion of course! For example VMware vSAN is an Object Storage. Evening, Wanted to share this interesting intersection of marketing & technology, the write-once SSD. Correct this isn’t April Fools… Verbatim have announced a write-once SSD. Theres a 10 year warranty against drive failure, it uses an exFAT file system and can be read by any OS supporting exFAT, but you require Win 10/11 and .Net 4.8 to install the proprietary software to write to the drive. Somewhat unsurprisingly, there are huge caveats listed, effectively it’s not tested to destruction against experienced hackers, but a handy way to prevent accidental file deletion. I wonder if we’ll start to see a market for this emerge…Interested in the full story? Hi, team I need some advice. We have a client that we need to do a quarterly full backup for. We would like to run an active full to a USB attached drive that will be rotated out each quarter. Each USB drive will be designated for a specific quarter (i.e. USB Quarter 1, Quarter 2, etc). This job will only run once per quarter and we would like each run to be a full backup. What is the best way to accomplish this in VBR 11a?

Hey Guys,In a customer environment where I deployed Veeam, I setup azure blob and added as SOBR, I found that in backup server used space for azure blob is 597 GB but in azure portal it is shown to be 1.8 TB. I am running two backups(file and VM). Can anyone tell what could be wrong?
