Bon courage pour l’investigation, hésitez pas à pas ouvrir un ticket support et avec le numéro de ce dernier d’ouvrir un topic sur le forum r&d/VBR/Tape. Cela permettra au responsable produit d’en avoir connaissance et travailler conjointement avec le support afin de corriger le bug ou vous donner la solution ou réponse adéquate.https://forums.veeam.com/tape-f29/Est-ce que le tape server (OS) ou le firmware de la librairie ont été mis à jour pendant ce laps de temps?

média de démarrage + sauvegarde

Bonjour, avec le logiciel voilà ce que j’ai fait pour tester : j’ai créé de façon automatique mon media de démarrage sur une clé USB (A Fat32) j’ai créé sur une clé USB (B NTFS) la sauvegarde j’ai copié / coller le contenu de la clé A sur la clé B et sur l’ordinateur principal en w10Home, aucun souci cela fonctionne très bien ! la clé est reconnu comme media de démarrage. MAIS cette même clé sur mes autres ordinateurs ne fonctionne pas, elle n’est pas reconnu comme media de démarrage. Ce sont pour un la même configuration, pour deux autres ce sont des windows10Pro, et le dernier un w11Home Ensuite,  j’ai fait la même chose pour mon ordinateur sous w11, j’ai créé de façon automatique mon media de démarrage sur une clé USB (A Fat32) j’ai créé sur une clé USB (B NTFS) la sauvegarde j’ai copié / coller le contenu de la clé A sur la clé B mais sur l’ordi en w11 la clé n’est toujours pas reconnu au démarrage comme périphérique de démarrage ! et pourtant si je branche cette même clé su

Capacité LTO6 ?

Bonjour,Il y a toujours un overhead sur les cartouches LTO peu importe le logiciel de sauvegarde. Il faut prévoir une déperdition de 10% moyenne sur la capacité brut.Cela me semble étrange que cela s’est accru, perso j’ouvrirais un cas au support Veeam/Constructeur lecteur ou je poserais la question sur le forum r&d Veeam.C’est assez étrange car une réduction de capacité sur une bande magnétique devrait endommager le cartouche.Bug Logiciel? Hésitez pas à nous tenir au courant de la finalité :)

Managing Limited Sudo Access in Linux: Essential Commands for Veeam Backup & Replication v12

Hello @vmali , i had to do the reverse eng’ three years ago. I would have loved to read that hehe :).Time to update our intenal ansible roles.Could you tell me if it’s possible to have this information on the bp site? Is it updated with the new Veeam Deployment daemon?I’m not a huge fan of veeam using /tmp to install the daemon, by default on OS hardened this mount point is noexec.

Sure Backup - Best Practices

At the moment I have the problem with configuration’s. Created Virtual Lab as “Basic Single host” just to test the functionalities. I gave the proxy an IP address from our production network:   But ping test is failing, Heartbeat is working.. Hello, heartbeat could be enough in your use case. Specially if don’t want to fight with the network part. You can disable the ping in the SBJ configuration wizard :)

Veeam v12.1 Hidden Features

Great article @coolsport00 , indeed for upgrade component on Linux Hardened repos it was an attended feature. Good to know, it will push a new daemon on the linux repos, veeamdeployment. So now two daemon is running on the Hardened Repos and temporary ports “6160” is opened during the process.Veeam deployment can only handle one vbr certificate, so avoid split brain and linux host/repos sharing as mentionned in Veeam Best Practices. In case you still need it, you will need to enable ssh to reinit the veeamtransport daemon.

Service Providers, are you placing any devices on premise?

Hello @dloseke , just discovered Alto appliances from the following blog post. Disk Archive Corporation offers an alternative to LTO – Blocks and Files Do you have any feedback to share on this subject with Veeam? It could a great alternative for user some cases specially when you need a real “Air Gap”. I just skimmed the article posted.  This ALTO (Alternative LTO) is different than the Datto Alto (and Siris) devices I’m familiar with.  Datto Alto and Siris are more of a turn-key appliance for backups that used to run ShadowProtect on a Linux OS but now have moved to their own backup solution.  This ALTO noted is more of an archiving solution.  Love it when two vendors use the same product name, but to be fair, I don’t think either of the ALTO’s are big names in the industry.  Interestingly, the look of the ALTO reminds me of the Storinator 45 and some of the SuperMicro storage hardware.  Not sure if they’re related hardware...just interesting. Postgresql for VeeamONE

We are migrating to Postgres now with 12.1 so will be nice when VONE and VSPC move to that DB option.  Looking forward to it but not a big deal at the moment. I’ll be curious to read your feedback after few weeks, large VBR? Tapes? pgsql for backup db on vbr? Dedicated VM? Linux or windows?
