We recently ran in to an issue as noted here in the forums - Ubuntu Hardened Repository - Path is not XFS - Veeam R&D ForumsHas anyone seen this and come across a fix?  We are working with support on it but wanted to ask the community.  The server has been working fine and the path is definitely XFS as we validated everything.Error - 

Hi, everyone! We have a single VM that is over 65TB in size, that we are backing up. We have run into a snag. VMware maxes out at 65TB, so we are running out of space on this backup and we don’t know what route to go in terms of setup. Is SOBR the preferred backup infrastructure for a VM of this size?

Hi everybody!I would like to share will all of you a little story,For almost a year, we were doing this "none written" rule, and it's being adopted by the whole department:"READ-ONLY MONDAYS"Tired of deploying things and changing production things on Mondays, tired after the weekend, and many people coming back to the office with tons of issues, after working from home on Fridays, we took this decision so we were able to fix and take care of the "after the weekend" issues, not adding extra failure points to the day.Now we are thinking of improving this rule to Mondays and Fridays!What do you think?Do you have any "none written" rules you would like to share?Many thanks.

Hi Folks, VeeamON 2022 is coming up fast. Recently a video was put out that caused quite a stir. Veeam’s marketing department let a notorious Anti-Swagger slip through into one of their promotional videos for VeeamON. The repercussions have been quite serious and the upper hierarchy at Veeam are even discussing a ballistic Paddle Board swag response. He is second to last in the video . VeeamON is never dull!!  

Hi, What we have:A Protection Group (protection-sql) containing SQL Server Cluster: sql_c01 with two sql Servers. sql1 and sql2 I have one agent Backup Job bj-sql-01 , Type “Failover Cluster”. Useing a sobr with aws capacity and archive tiers.  Anything is working absolutely fine. Backup ist fine. Offloading is fine. Whats going on:Both sql servers will be renewed. There will be two new sql server. sql1-new and sql2-new (agent already installed) After installation, both new sql servers will useing the same SQL Server Cluster sql-c01 sql1 and sql2 will be turned off.My Accepetion:Should I build a new backup job (clone) or is it possible to keep the existing backup job. bj-sql-01 ?I would manually initiate a Protection Group rescan. The new sql-server should appear in the Protection Group protection-sql the OLD sql server should disappear, because they do not belong to the sql cluster anymore. I try to backup a VM Machine on hyper-v but i get error: 20.04.2022 10:56:18 :: Processing DC-01 Error: There are no available IP addresses to connect to Hyper-V Integration Service.   How can I solve this, with anoter hyper-v server it works. Thx Peter

Hi,  I have one VBR Server 11 wherein I have created the SOBR having capacity tier of azure blob.  While creating SOBR I have defined move policy with 0 days.  My retention policy is 7 days with 1 full and 6 incremental.  My requirement is to move the data onto azure blob automatically as soon as it reaches to performance tier.  In my case data is not offloading to azure blob and veeam is taking its default counter of every 4 hours with 0bytes of data offloaded to azure. Can anybody help? Regards,Sunny

Hello, 3 days ago I upgraded Veeam Backup & Replication from 11 to 11a (11.0.1.1261).Since then in the notifications in case of Warning I’m not getting the Details anymore.Actually I know the details of the warnings because they are “historical” and I can still see them in the console, but why they are not written in the e-mails anymore? (see example picture attached, the last column is empty even in case of Warning)Thanks for your help.

i have some backups that are failing   

Customer is running backups of their VM’s at PROD site to at SOBR and running a backup copy for that job to their DR site (also to a SOBR).   They want to replicate some key VMs to their DR site as well and was hoping to seed those replicas from a the backup copy at the DR site.  Apparently seeding replicas from a backup (or backup copy) on a SOBR is not supported.   Trying to understand why not and how to work around this other than going back to non-SOBR backup repositories?
