Hi Folks,
I don’t know if any of you saw this but interesting stuff. A best practice guide for SP’s. I could have used this in a previous life :)

Well I took a quick look. I don’t think it went deep enough. Just my humble opinion.
Will need to check this out. Will definitely send suggestions to Veeam for improvement if not like the other BP sites. But this is a good start for SPs.
This appears to be pretty high-level overall, but would have been useful to me a year and a half or two years ago when I was setting up the service provider console for the first time and wrapping my head around VCSP. That said, should be helpful for anyone venturing out into this realm.
With that said, I have a case open with Support to troubleshoot why my SPC will no longer connect with the VCSP Pulse portal for licensing, so some of these diagrams may be helpful in that troubleshooting. Thanks for posting this.
I forgot to mention, unless you are managing a REALLY small environment or don’t plan on keeping any reporting, forget using SQL Express for the database back-end. We filled up that 10GB limit in about a year to year and a half. Would be nice if Veeam transitioned this to Postgres as well. Transitioning from SQL Express to SQL shouldn’t be that hard except our SQL Express Database with 2016 and our SQL Standard server is 2012 (we need to get it upgraded for a couple reasons, but this is one more). Moral of the story….just skip the SQL Express route if you plan on using the console, even if just to manage your clients that have their own licensing and aren’t using the rental licensing model.

Yeah we are using full SQL for our installation that we have and are diving deeper in to this for sure since it is the way Veeam seems to be moving for SPs.
Good finding.
Some really good diagrams in here to show customers or management this functionality.
