Somebody is using Qnap with inmutability with object lock like a second destination for copy jobs? In a copy job after the first copy veeam try to overwrite with the second copy the first copy, how you co figure the inmutability days to can have the copy for 7 days for example? Thanks in advance

I’m getting the below error after upgrading Veeam servers from v12 to the latest release of v13. It’s a windows based install of Veeam, and it is connected to a (dedicated to Veeam only) AD domain.My user has local administrator permissions, Veeam Backup Administrator permissions, and MFA disabled for testing/troubleshooting purposes. The is happening across each of the Veeam v13 servers I have on the domain.It is only happening for mine and one other engineer’s user accounts, but other engineer’s accounts are not affected. We are all in the same AD groups so permissions are the same.I have tried removing Veeam Backup Administrator permissions from my account, rebooting, and re-adding, to no effect.Has anyone seen this before? Any suggestions for what else to check? Hi i have a PC that was being backed up wit veeam agent for windows free edition not managed by VBRThe PC is runing windows 10 22H2 ,After an agent update started getting the error failed to start service "VeeamEndpointBackupSvc"Tried repairing the agent , i tried removing it and reinstalling it still getting the same error .It seems something with the agent setting is wrong and removing the agent doesn't really clean all the data from the PC , tried even installing older version still the same.Also i am not seeing that service registered in services Any ideas how to purge the data ?  Or Fix this issue ?Thanks

windows agent backup fails after server upgraded from 2012 to 2016 In protection group shows the server name by both OS versions :  2012 OS ( last seen 5 days ) and 2016 OS - ( Last seen - Online ), however the rescan option gives the error :Failed to connect server:11731The veeam agent is in running state and is restarted, still no luck  

When I try to restore from HV guest using “Copy To” option, choose a folder and the “OK” button is greyed out. I used to use this function all the time on this server before I upgraded to 13.01. Any ideas?

Some of Hyper-V VM have Veeam recovery Checkpoint. The backup job is running successfull every day but why seem veeam not delete this checkpoint? I tried to remove this but there no option to delete this checkpoint.   

The veeam backup version is patched to 13.0.1.2067 after that few proxy servers are not getting updated. Failed to upgrade host components. Hi All, I install veeam 13 appliance, and connect to it with Veeam Backup & Replication Console installled on windows, I can find backup job log on veeam 13 appliance (var/log/), but if my backup job created from windows console, I can’t find log , I check %ProgramData%\Veeam\Backup , but not find backup job log by job name, Backup jobs aren't synchronized between the web interface and the console, right?So where can I find the log files for backup jobs generated by the console?Thanks.

Hello, I currently have an R740 with a NetApp E Series directly attached and am looking to use it as a hardened repo (rocky os). I am concerned that the 740 is near end of life, so wondering how difficult and what would the steps be if I was to replace the server with a new one in a year or two down the line?

Hi all, Sorry if this has been covered, I couldn’t find it in the search. I have a HyperV host and I want to use VAW to backup the D drive containing the HyperV VM files.  I have 2 USB disks I plan to rotate.  I’ve read the guides and I have registered both the USB disks as storage devices.  Last night it failed and I am suspecting it was due to the drive letter not being assigned when it got reconnected.  In theory, am I OK to simply leave one disk plugged in and VAW will do the backup to that disk, if there is a drive letter assigned?   Thanks.  

Every time I try to open a case in my Veeam portal, I get a permission error that I can’t:Which is odd as I am the admin for our license, and I can’t raise a ticket to say I can’t raise a ticket as it always goes back to this error. Can’t use phone support as you need a case number from raising a case. Could someone from Veeam help sort this out? RegadsDamien

Hello everyone,I am currently configuring Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 (VBM365) for our company, and I have a question about the disk cache to optimise performance.According to the documentation, the standard installation does not allow the cache to be stored on another drive on the VBM365 server (it is located by default in the local PostgreSQL database on the C drive or on a dedicated PostgreSQL server). However, I would like to avoid deploying an additional PostgreSQL server for simplicity and maintenance reasons. My question:Does anybody use a dedicated cache disk on the VBM365 server? If so, how did you configure it (custom path, script, etc.)? Have you encountered any limitations or performance issues? I would appreciate your feedback or alternative solutions (without external PostgreSQL).Thank you in advance for your advice!Morgan

Als wir nun in die Backups geschaut haben, sind diese auch dort nicht mehr vorhanden. Was kann das bedeuten, bzw. wie finden wir raus ob wir einen ungebetenen Gast in unserem System/backup haben, der dies gelöscht hat? Liebe Grüße und Danke für die Hilfe. How can I import information from a Nutanix platform into the Veeam calculator (https://www.veeam.com/calculators), given that the platform is only compatible with RVTools?I am working on a Nutanix AHV environment with around 660 virtual machines, and I need to perform a proper sizing for my infrastructure.  The Nutanix Collector XLSX file is not compatible with the RVTools format required.  

I was deploying Veeam Backup & Replication v13 in my lab and reviewing the Security & Compliance Analyzer when I noticed a new requirement that I hadn’t seen before: “Credential Guard should be enabled.” I also checked Product KB 4252, but this setting is referenced there but can’t enable it.Can anyone clarify where “Credential Guard” can be enabled for VBR, and whether there is any official documentation from Veeam that covers this requirement?
