Any info is good. I’ll give it a look Eric. Thanks!

Thanks for the explanation of SAVC. Trying to wrap my brain around how that works. 🤔😅

I’m looking more into PVE this yr as well because I think we “may” be going to it from VMW next yr. Not looking fwd to a full migration, but it is what it is. Thanks guys.

I did a 12 part series on PVE 9.1. Might be worth your time. - 🤝

You're absolutely right, Damien. Moving from vSphere to Proxmox brings a different set of storage management challenges, especially when you want to Veeam to manage snapshots via the API or external plugins.

Since you are already looking at SAVC as a "preview" feature and want to more stable/standardized options, I would suggest focusing on what is/can be shared across your nodes. If you can't use NFS from the Sansymphony array, but Ceph RBD is an option for you, that provides built-in replication and snapshot capabilities natively within the Proxmox ecosystem.

Just a quick question to help narrow down the possibilities: Are you planning on using a dedicated network for your Ceph OSDs/replication traffic, to ensure it's not competing with your VM production traffic or backup traffic?
