Hi,We are running Veeam Backup and Replication 12.1 version as the Azure Immutable BLOB storage is not deleting the backup files as our data size is 124 TB as per Veeam Backup console, the following retention specified Daily incremental - 28 days, Weekly Full - 21 days, Monthly Full - 12 months. After 45 days, monthly full backup will get moved to Archive Tier. The Azure Blob Storage consumed almost 490 TB in Performance Tier and 46 TB in Archive Tier as two months data moved to Archive Tier.Immutable is not releasing and not deleting in the Performance Tier. Any one was able to identify the old data on the Azure Blob Storage and delete the old files if those sits.
Hi, not a long ago, we migrated most of our workloads to Azure. We have most of our servers in Azure and also we have some servers in our DC (on-prem). We currently use Veeam backup for Azure to backup servers in Azure and Veeam backup & replication ver 12 to backup our on-prem servers (with local backup repositories). One of our critical servers is having some issues as users keep disconnecting since we have migrated this server to Azure. After investigating for a few weeks, we are looking to bring this server back to on-prem to resolve the issue as its currently affecting our critical business operation. Here is what we have planned and need your advice on how can we achieve this:Stage 1 – Create a new storage account in Azure for the purposes of backing up this server. Stage 2 – Connect the on-premises Veeam backup server to the new storage account created in stage 1 (as an external repo or object repository). Stage 3 – Backup the server to the newly created storage account in A
This Linux server was working before on Veeam v9.5. I upgraded to v12 and it hasn’t worked since. I will say my old v9.5 server died, so I started from scratch a new v12 server. I uninstalled the old Linux agent from the command line and reinstalled using yum. I can run ‘sudo veeam’ and the agent app runs fine. I couldn’t get Veeam to install the agent on its own.My Veeam Backup & Replication server is unable to connect to this Linux host. It does a Rescan and fails:“Failed to process 1 host processedJob finished with error”I have no firewalls enabled on the Linux server or the Windows Veeam server. I can’t figure this out. Spent hours on it. Created a ticket yesterday but haven’t heard back from Veeam yet. Beim Rescan erhalte ich folgende Fehlermeldung:22.04.2024 06:27:05 Warning Failed to connect to vs-train-debian-01.training.dummy Details: Known agent vs-train-debian-01.dummy.training have the same bios uuid 24ecbd3b-daf8-ee11-ac4a-d097bdb0cd24 but different connection point vs-train-debian-01.training.dummy ich habe die alte Maschine aus allen Protection-Groups entfernet, selbst die alten Backups habe ich gelöscht. Leider verweigert Veeam den Rescan weiterhin. Hat jemand eine Idee, wo sich die alte Maschine eventuell noch versteckt?Grüße Detlev

(kb4569) Ben direk olarak aşağıda bıraktığım link de ki patch’i kurarak sorunu direk olarak çözdüm. Hi all,Relatively new to the community; been working with Veeam a while now, though!After finally sorting some bits out, I’ve built out a home lab to play with Veeam, but also use my own data as a way to gather experience about day-to-day use of Veeam (I am an architect, so naturally, I never touch the product in anger 🙄 - hoping to fixing that!)I’m loosely aware that the Veeam for Mac agent is relatively new, so while I understand there will be bugs, my current experience has been fairly frustrating (I don't want to treat this as a support-request post, so wont go into specifics). What is your experience of using the Mac agent so far?

IMHO the documentation should make this explicit for 2 reasons:So users don’t have to guess which key to use by trial and error So users are confident that the key referenced in the Secret remains stable over K10 releases
good day, I’m working with some people in implementing K10 on OSCP clusters.They have and use DataDomain as backup storage: with Veeam we naturally use DDboost, and we are trying to use it for K10 exports too.We created the PVC and configured as Location in K10, the validation succeeded, but it does not work, it seems the pod cannot mount the nfs export and the export operation timeouts.We have found this errorI tried opening the export to all the internal IPs, but it did not solve the issue.It seems a network issue anyway … has anyone experience on this task? Hello!I am new here, hope you don't mind my ignorance!!I am looking for some detailed steps/instructions to implement and achieve my data backup goals for a personal/home based setting. I Have quite a few kinds of devices in my home. couple of windows laptops, couple of iPads, couple of iPhones, an android phone, may be a macbook pro in the future. I don't find it practical to connect separate USB external hard disks to each of these devices to back them up. So, what i am thinking to achieve instead is - if all of these devices can connect to a NAS, use one big drive say 6/8 TB and create individual folders to create separate backups of each of the devices, that is the ideal solution i am looking for. I haven't decided yet on what model of NAS do i need. Any recommendations welcome! I am planning to use this NAS device just for backing up my multiple devices in one place. I am not looking for active file sharing among the different devices. Also create a backup of the 6/8 TB NA
I’m looking to use a Linux server (possibly physical server) as a mount point for a Hardened Repository and also back it up with the Veeam Agent for Linux. Would it also be possible to use the same Linux server as a Veeam backup proxy?

What happened?A malicious actor, known as STORM-0558 managed to get a hold of a Microsoft Services Account (MSA) cryptographic key. This was then used by the malicious actor to compromise Microsoft Exchange Online mailboxes by using authentication tokens.This allowed the threat actor to access mailboxes of high-profile individuals without any indication they were breached. Microsoft was not aware they had lost control of this key until they were notified by one of the affected organisations, the US State Department, which had 60000 emails exfiltrated. I have two things I wanted to share this week here that might useful to the community.Red Hat Summit Next week is Red Hat Summit and I will be heading out to Denver, CO for the first time to get my learning on with the Red Hat Community.Red Hat has been a staple in the enterprise technology space for many years. Whilst I have been interested and using Red Hat Linux for a number of years in various different places, the real interest for me is around their Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and of course as it pertains to Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShiftI have looked at the schedule for the event and picked out some very interesting sessions, an interesting session that I found was Terraform and with the recent announcements from IBM (IBM also own Red Hat) this will be very interesting as to how Ansible and Terraform could align in the future. From a Veeam perspective with Red Hat we have a few things but the most notable is the integration and partnership we have with Red Hat OpenShift.
Hi, I have a protection group with 8 PC’s. The PC’s are not always on and so sometimes they miss the backup schedule. Is there a way to see the last successful backup of each PC without having to drill down on each one? Thank you!

Burke’s Brewery backup setup is running at capacity, however management for security reasons has decided to encrypt all local backup traffic. What Veeam component will most likely need to be given more resources? What resources will those be.
